PROTECTION
Jou always protects Yugi, like his guardian angel. And Yugi falls in love.
Jou is angry because that is *exactly* the sort of behaviour that gets Yugi in trouble. And he is ashamed because he ... *can't* love Yugi back.
Yugi understands that Jou needs time alone, so he smiles as Jou boards the train.
Jou says he'll be back on Saturday night, but Yugi is not surprised when he is not.
Yugi walks home through the night. And because Jou is not there, Yugi finds himself bleeding and broken. Dying.
Yugi thinks, as he slips away, *I can see angels.*
