Whoa, it took
me, like, forver to update this story-gomen nasai, minna-san!^^°

Hope you like
this one at least-
oh, and Shirokawa Yoshiyaki's all mine! You can borrow him,
but give him back in one piece, ne?

Ja ne!

9.

If there
was one thing he hated more than school, it was detention.

And thanks to
Kanashimi, he had gotten a solid two weeks of it.

Given, it
was an upperclassman who started the whole thing, but then, somehow, the
situation had gotten out of hand.~*

“Hey, Jou!”
Katsuya looked over his shoulder, not nearly needing to see, as to who had
spoken. The entire school knew the captain of the wrestling club and terror of
the halls, Shirokawa Yoshiyaki, self-proclaimed king of Domino High. Wherever
he went, trouble followed.

With a wide
grin, he walked up to Jou, and, coming to stand before him, crossed his arms,
and bellowed:

“I heard,
your lil’ sis was a real cupcake, at least, that’s what Honda claimed, once I
pounded it outta him. So, ya got any pictures? Ya know, something to jerk off
to.”

Several
dirty guffaws accompanied his request, even as Jou narrowed his eyes in anger.

Walking up
to the bulky teen, he said calmly:

“Excuse
me?”

“Aww, no
need t’be sorry, Jou. It’s just, among the five of us, we wondered if your sis
is as quiet as her namesake, by everything she does.”

Howling
laughter and wolf whistles erupted-and died down instantly, when Katsuya’s eyes
went dark and void.

“Apologize.”

His voice
was barely above a mutter, but could be heard throughout the hall, making
several pupils draw back in fear. Yoshiyaki only gaped.

“Huh?” Jou
bared his teeth, when he hissed:

“Pay
attention, baka! I said, apologize, right now, for insulting my sister
and hurting my friend, or I will make you sorry!”

The bully
stared at Jou, then his face grew dark with anger.

“Who do you
think you are, calling me baka? You just gave me all the reason in need to beat
you into next week!”

He grabbed
Jou’s collar and rose his fist, before ramming the shorter blond into the wall
behind him.

Katsuya
barely grunted, but grit his teeth, when a solid punch was delivered into his
stomach.

Shirokawa
grinned, when he let go of Jounouchi, expecting the duelist to slide down the
wall in a crumbled heap.

Instead,
Jou landed gracefully on his feet, and, licking up some blood which had
trickled out of his mouth, smirked.

“You’ve
lost your touch, baka. Here, let me show you how it’s done.”

The large
fighter didn’t even have time to bring up his arms, when two straight blows hit
his nose and lips, bending the cartilage and busting the soft flesh.

Shaking his
head in confusion, his eyes came to rest on Jou, who stood there, crouched in a
fighting stance. Grinning, he dropped into an offensive position, griping:

“Not bad, I
must admit, you’re really fast. Too bad you hit like a girl.”

Jou gave a
wild, almost insane smile, when he chuckled:

“Hey, I’m
only giving back in interest.”

Cheap shot.

Bad move.

Yoshiyaki’s
face got even redder, as he roared in anger, faked-and almost broke Katsuya’s
jaw, when his fist struck the blond. The younger teen stumbled back a couple of
steps, before raising his arms to protect his face.

“I think
it’s time for me to take over, ne?” offered Kanashimi. Katsuya rejected him,
snarling:

“No way!
I can handle this, it’s not the first time I’m in a fight.”

“Yeah, sure, but-“

“Hey,
Katsuya, is it true, what they say about you’re sis? That she’s real good at
doing…splits?” barked Shirokawa.

Jou’s eyes
went wide, before narrowing into mere slits.

“What..did
you call me?”

The
wrestler laughed, before tucking his hands under his armpits, and, imitating a
chicken, started clucking:

“Kaatsu-Katsu-Katsu-Katsu-Katsuyaa, Katsuyaa, Katsu-Ka-“

Jounouchi
was over him in a whirl of fists, raining blows and punches on the larger
teen’s face, chest, abdomen and every other part of his opponent’s body he
could reach. His face under the blond bangs was a mask of pure rage and hatred,
when he yelled:

“Don’t you ever
call me that again, you hear me? Never ever dare to use my first name!
Nobody gets to use it, nobody! If I hear it slip from those greasy lips
of yours again, I’m going to kill you and bury you at the bottom of the sea!
There won’t be anything left ouf you but a stinking, smeary spot on the yard,
kami help me, I will kill you!”

With the
help of several bystanders, Yoshikawa’s gang finally managed to pry the raging
Jou off the defeated one’s prone body. Honda’ who sported a black eye, and Yugi
had finally caught up with their friend, and arrived just in time to stop him
from going at Shirokawa n, hn, holding him back by sheer force.

Sneering,
shooshook off his friend’s hands and, pointing at the fallen wrestler, spat:

“Get this
bloody little fucker outta my face, before I teach him another lesson! And as
for the rest of you, If you ever go after my friends and sister again or use my
first name, what this fat loser’s been through will seem like summer camp,
compared to what I’m gonna do with you, understood?”

All pupils
assembled nooded hastily in agreement, even as Jounouchi turned around and,
indicating his friends with a nod to follow him, walked away from the fighting
scene.

Behind his
back, Honda and Yugi changed worried looks.

Jou’s eyes
had gone from his usual sparkling amber to a cold, amost bloodied, deep
purple.~*

“You
should now better by now, than to let your anger get the better of you, Jou.”

Kanashimi
sat in the cherry tree again, looking to all the world as if he couldn’t harm a
fly. Katsuya glared at him, from where he sat on a rock.

“You
mean, to let my bad side get the better of mo:p>o:p>

Kanashimi
chuckled.

“Oh no, my
dear boy, the anger was your own, I merely used it as an-enhancer, if you will,
to amplify my hold over your body. I must say, I haven’t enjoyed anything this
much since..since..well, when’s the last time you got into a real fight? I
mean, one, you actually
depended on me, hnhh? Let’s see, could it be-ahh, yess, I remember!”

“Don’t”
whispered Katsuya, and even in his own ears, it sounded more like a plea than a
demand.

I heard
several screams of “where’s Kaiba?” Patience, my dears, patience, I will bring
him into the game soon enough…
