Choose Me!

The next morning at school Kaiba came up to Jou to talk about the previous night, but something was wrong. Two things to be exact, for one Jou wasn’t wearing the collar he’d given him, and two Honda was charging full force towards him.


Honda was so angry that all Kaiba had to do was step sideways to avoid him. Kaiba ignored the boy, whom had fallen on the ground from missing his target. Kaiba wondered up to Jou to ask him what was wrong, but right before talking he got grabbed from behind by someone. He turned around to punch the person in the face, noticing that it was once again Honda.


Honda was now on the ground, nose bleeding and still horribly angry.

“What’s your problem, Honda,” Kaiba yelled, almost bothered by constant attacks.

“You should know…look what you did to him,” Honda yelled back.
Kaiba turned around wide-eyed knowing exactly who Honda meant. He saw Jou looking at the two of them, eyes red and puffy as if he’d been crying.


“Why…” Kaiba paused, ”Why aren’t you wearing the collar.” He couldn’t bring himself to point out if Jou had been crying, so he settled on a simpler question.

“I’m sorry Kaiba, I just can’t do it anymore…” Jou said, “I don’t want to pretend anymore,” He finished as he handed Kaiba the collar.


Kaiba stood there shocked holding the collar in his hand as Jou picked Honda off the ground and they walked off into the school.

During classes that day Jou noticed Kaiba missing from every class they had together. He didn’t really care why…well he did, but he really shouldn’t. Luckily the day passed quickly and the final bell rang. Jou picked up his stuff and found his way out to the front.


Before him was Kaiba, standing there waiting for just him. Jou stood where he was for a few, before giving in and walking over to Kaiba.

“I thought I said no mo-“ Jou began before getting cut off.

“You said no more pretending,” Kaiba said before presenting Jou with another velvet box, exactly like the previous. Jou eyed it suspiciously, but opened it regardless. It was the same collar, but on the tag the previous date had been crossed out and the current date was now etched in.

“I don’t really understand.” Jou said confused.

“It means I want to go out with you, for real this time.” Kaiba said ignoring the crowd they had drawn. “I really wanted to kiss you last night, all of what I said was excuses to get that from you.” He whispered in Jou’s ear. Jou laughed a little before whispering back, “I wanted to kiss you too, but I couldn’t let it just be for pretend.” Kaiba smiled, as he looked into Jou’s eyes and kissed him right there.


Jou flushed instantly, not ever having planned on being kissed in front of the whole school, but was so excited that he didn’t stop Kaiba. They let the kiss last as long as it needed to, just a simple kiss. When they pulled away, Jou smiled at Kaiba handing him the collar, indicating for him to put it on. Kaiba gracefully pulled the collar to Jou’s neck and tightened the strap. He pulled his hands away before kissing Jou on the cheek, and glaring around the circle of their schoolmates, showing his possession of the blond for ever more.

The last chapter, I'm sure the story could be much better, so I'm gonna leave it open incase I choose to come back to it and update it.
