Chapter 4

Growing Moon

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Eventually, around 2 in the morning, Ryou did emerge from Seto's house. The youth was carrying his basket and shaking his head softly. He was sneaking out.

Marik lifted his head and his ears perked. He watched Ryou pass through the gates, but he didn't approach him.

Ryou wandered out the gates and walked quietly back to his house. He looked absolutely dead on his feet. He hadn't gotten any sleep.

Marik followed a few yards behind Ryou, just to make sure the boy got home safely.

Once Ryou got home, he walked into his home, the door being left wide open and he meandered into the kitchen and began washing his dishes.

The wolf blinked, then sighed and approached the door. With a bit of difficulty, he managed to close it, then found a nice place to lie down behind the bushes in front of Ryou's house.

Ryou finished his dishes and wandered back to the front door and opened it, setting the last meat pie outside. "stop giving me pouting eyes...." he mumbled sleepily. "And...get out of my flowerbushes..." he once again left the door wide open and walked over to the couch, thusly passing out

Marik blinked and his ears perked and eyes widened. But he sighed and slowly lay his head down again, but he stared at the tempting meat pie. No. He wouldn't. He was mad at Ryou. His stomach growled. .... Damn. Marik enjoyed the meat pie.

He then closed the door, and returned to the bushes.

Ryou slept soundly the remainder of the night. But that morning he didn't stir for school. He was damn tired from a night of no sleep.

Marik sighed as he watched other kids head off to school. He briefly considered waking Ryou, but then decided that it wasn't his problem.

Meanwhile, Yami and Yugi were torn from the breakfast table by a knock on the door. When Yugi opened it, he blinked, then smiled and turned. "Hey Yami!" He called back into the house. "It's Ahmose!!!"

Yami grinned and got up hurrying to the door. "Ahmose!" he said gladly. "It's good to see you!"

Ahmose smiled slightly, his black eye almost faded, but his arm was still in a sling and he obviously still had bandages around his ribs. "Good to see you too. How much did I miss?"

"Not much, we dissected the frogs while you were gone." Yami teased. "The professors said you could make up any in-class work with extracredit if you wanted to." He explained. "What have I missed?"

Ahmose snorted. "Nothing you would have wanted to see..." He said.

Yami snickered. "I've heard... through the 'grapevine' that Marik's dating... someone." Yami said chuckling.

Ahmose sighed. "He likes that boy, Ryou."

"What do you think of it?" Yami asked after a moment.

Ahmose shrugged. "I don't know."

Yami rolled his eyes. "Well he's going to want to...share the same things you want to share with me." he said softly. "Do you think its a good idea? Do you approve? You will be leader someday." Yami chuckled.

Ahmose sighed again. "I don't know. Do I approve? Do I think it's a good idea? At this stage, no. Marik shouldn't reveal anything until he knows that Ryou loves him and his devoted to him. I waited until I knew I could trust you with anything before I told you..." And he gave Yami a soft smile.

Yami smirked. "With an ass like yours, if you told me to keep a secret, I'd keep it just to keep staring."

Ahmose's eyes widened, and a blush rose in his cheeks. "W-W-What?! Y-YAMI!!!"

Yami laughed and hugged Ahmose carefully. "Once you're healed...I think a night at my house is in order. You need fucked again."

Ahmose sighed and wrapped his good arm around Yami and closed his eyes. "I don't think that would be a good idea..." He whispered.

Yami sighed. "It never is..." he mumbled "But you're so damn cute."

Ahmose smiled and nuzzled Yami's ear. "Thanks... but seriously... I don't know when we can... you know... again..."

"It's ok. If I could have your ass everyday, it wouldn't be as special." Yami cooed.

Ahmose rolled his eyes, blushing. "It's just that... Dad is... well... I think he's getting suspicious... of us..."

Yami nodded. "It's ok." he said smirking. "Even if we weren't careful, your ass is worth dying for too."

Ahmose gave Yami a worried look. "I don't want you dead on my account..."

"You act like I wouldn't defend myself at all." Yami said sternly. "You know me better than that. If he takes me out, he's not coming out of it uninjured."

Ahmose sighed. "I'd like to think that, but... Yami, I just... I'm getting worried. I don't know how much longer I can keep us a secret. I know dad suspects something, and... Yami, I... we may have to... split up for a while..."

Yami nodded. "I understand Ahmose." he said softly. "But so help me if you ever leave me for good, I'll kick your ass and you'll be my new rug."

Ahmose blinked, then chuckled. "Right... Rug. Gotcha." He sighed and smiled. "Only until I take over, Yami. After I turn twenty one, okay?"

Yami nodded. "Fine. Just make sure you leave the textbook in the locker." he said after a moment.

Ahmose smiled. "I'll still drive you to and from school. And we can study, but... other than that, I don't think we should see each other off campus..."

Yami nodded. "Fine." he said smiling. "Well I'll grab Yugi...Ryou didn't come by this morning..."

Ahmose sighed and nodded, and returned to the car. A moment later, Yami got in the passenger seat, and Yugi in the back with Mikado.

"Oh my gosh!!!" Yugi gasped. "Mikado, what happened?!" Yami turned to see Mikado had a black eye.

"Dad..." The boy mumbled.

Yami sighed. "Yugi that wasn't exactly how you should have brought THAT up." He laughed. "Why'd your dad hit you?" Yami asked looking back at Mikado.

Mikado sighed. "Ryou. I told him he was my friend. He hit me because Ryou is human."

"... Because Ryou is HUMAN?! What kind of reason is that?" Yugi asked. The other three froze, and Mikado smacked a hand over his mouth. Yugi blinked. "What? What's going on?"

Yami sighed. "Nothing Yugi. I'll tell you tonight ok?" he said sternly.

Ahmose turned and glared at Mikado, who shrank down. "Sorry..." He whispered. Ahmose sighed and turned back to the road.

"It's okay. We couldn't keep it from Yugi forever." He said calmly.

"Keep what from me?" Yugi chirped.

"I said I'll tell you tonight!" Yami said sternly. "It's not really the time for that Yugi." he added softly.

Yugi sighed and nodded, and a few minutes later Mikado and Yugi were dropped off at High School, and Ahmose headed for the University. They parked and headed for their first class in the history building.

"Good God, Inarus!!!" Came a familiar voice, and they turned and faced Seto Kaiba. Ahmose glared as the man walked over, staring. "What happened to you?!" Seto asked, not sounding like a jerk for once.

Yami sighed softly. "He just got in a debate that went a little...overboard." he said smiling. "You know how seriously he takes things."

Seto narrowed his eyes, looking Ahmose up and down. Ahmose bristled a bit, glaring.

Yami sighed and rubbed Ahmose's back slowly. "You're not normally the one to run to the aid of an adversary. What's up?"

Seto frowned. "I recognize child abuse when I see it."

"I am NOT a child!!!" Ahmose snapped. Seto ignored the interruption.

"I was a victim of it myself once, if you will recall." The CEO said, then turned and walked away. Ahmose snarled, and Yami turned to see Ahmose displaying very long canines and his ears were starting to get very... Legolas like...

Yami elbowed Ahmose. "Knock it off!" he hissed quietly.

Ahmose jerked and shook his head, returning to normal. "Sorry." He muttered. "No one else can make me loose control in public like that..."

"You shouldn't let him get to you..." Yami said shaking his head. "He's just doing it because he CAN get to you."

Ahmose sighed and nodded, turning and smiling at Yami, and they continued to their class.

Later that day (a surprising two in the afternoon later) a sleepy Ryou finally emerged from his house and sighed, picking up the empty pie tin.

The golden wolf lifted his head and yawned, blinking at Ryou and licking his jaws.

"How long do you intend to sit in my bush and pout at me?" Ryou asked calmly, not looking at Marik.

The wolf blinked, then sighed and rested his chin on his paws again and stared at Ryou.

"You don’t have a claim to me you know..." Ryou said after a moment. "We're not dating."

Marik stared at Ryou with sad eyes.

Ryou sighed and shook his head. "I'm a free person, to go and see whomever I wish, when ever I wish." he added softly after a moment. "I enjoy your company immensly, but you don’t have a claim to me. It's hardly fair of you to try and stop me from seeing other people, who enjoy MY company."

Marik was suddenly crouching in his halfway form. "You DITCHED me!!!" He cried. "Just... TOOK OFF!!! You just LEFT me, in YOUR HOUSE to go have LUNCH with that RICH BOY!!!"

"Well I would have felt bad for it, but you 'ditched' me back so we're even." he said calmly.

Marik growled. "You think I'm just going to WAIT AROUND FOR YOU to finish with someone ELSE?! Who the HELL do you think you ARE?!" Marik shouted. "Would YOU wait around after being invited for lunch, for ME to sneak out and have lunch with SOMEONE ELSE?! You have a lot of nerve!!!"

Ryou merely shrugged. "I think I'm human, and you're not."

Marik just stared at Ryou, dumbstruck, his mouth hanging open. It took a few moments for him to compose himself. "I thought that wouldn't matter to you." He said bitterly, his voice thick with disappoinement and heartbreak. "You're alot different than what you seemed. I guess you WERE too good to be true..." And he returned to his wolf form and pushed his way out of the bushes.

Ryou sighed softly holding the pie tin. "Staying near you will just get me killed. It'd get you killed...and...I dont want that for anyone. I dont wish death on even my enemies..." he said turning back to his door. "It's better this way."

Marik paused, then heaved a deep sigh and padded away from the house, nose and tail nearly trailing on the ground.

Ryou sighed as well and shook his head. "I'm sorry." he said softly. "It's for the best. Please...dont come around anymore...it would just make us both feel worse." Ryou said looking down and going back into his house.

Marik paused and turned back to stare at the house, but then laid his ears back, and growled. He turned and dashed away.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"You could have TOLD me I missed a quiz!!!" Ahmose complained the moment he and Yami left the classroom.

Yami laughed loudly. "If I told you you'd just have spazzed all day, and shouted at me. At least now I only get shouting for HALF a day." He snickered.

Ahmose rolled his eyes. "Ass..." He mumbled, flinching as they left the building and were nearly blinded by the sun. "I should bite you for that..." The pair headed towards the cafe near the library for lunch. Outside of the cafe, Seto sat reading with a smoothie in one hand, and a highlighter in the other. Suddenly, Ahmose stopped. He turned, frowning, and Yami noticed him sniffing the air.

"... Marik?" Ahmose mumbled. A moment later, a scream went up as a dog burst around the corner of the building and into view. Ahmose's eyes widened as the dog charged right past him and with a snarling roar, leapt onto Seto, bringing him to the ground. Seto yelped and raised an arm in defense and the dog sunk his teeth into the arm, beginning to shake his head, viciously.

Yami frowned. "Oh gods... please tell me he didn't just turn him into a werewolf..." he said softly. "I mean, I dunno how YOU do it, but the MOVIES say that'll do it..." he said pointing to Marik.

"LATER!!" Ahmose gasped, shoving his backpack into Yami's hands and running off to duck behind the shrubbery that hid the dumpsters on the side of the building. A moment later, Yami's eyes widened as a black wolf streaked into view (with a slight limp in his left front leg) and charged at the other wolf that was near-mauling Seto on the ground. Yami had never seen Ahmose in any form BUT human, so while this was very... interesting, he did NOT want his first sight of wolf-Ahmose to be the snarling beast tackling another, which was just what Ahmose was doing. He tackled Marik off of Seto, and the pair rolled, snarling and snapping at each other.

Yami watched wide eyed as the wolves fought, and hurried over to help Seto up. "Good gods are you ok?!" he asked looking over Seto's wounds. "You should see the nurse right away!" he added grabbing Seto's books and bag away while Ahmose and Marik fought. "Lets get out of here before they both turn on us!" he added. He knew Ahmose would never turn on him, but it'd be best to let Seto think that black wolf was just angry at the other...

"Screw the campus Quack Shack!!!" Seto groaned. "Call a fuckin' ambulance!!! And some task force to put those beasts down!!!" There was a yelp and Ahmose backed away from Marik, holding his left paw off of the ground completely. But after a moment, he limped towards Marik again, snarling, hackles raised. Marik watched him for a moment, then lowered himself to the ground submissively, and after a moment, both bolted and disappeared.

"Oh don’t be a big baby." Yami said rolling his eyes. "That's hardly an ambulance wound, and the wolves have taken care of themselves. You hardly would have needed a task force for them anyway. Gods, drama queen." Yami said dully. "Now lets go see that 'quack shack' before you get an infection or something." Yami added pulling Seto's good arm. "And dont be overdramatic. I've suffered worse from a woman than you got from that wolf."

Seto snorted and they went to the school infirmiry. They took one look at Seto's arm and called an ambulance. Seto turned and glared at Yami. "Drama queen, huh?"

"Yeah. Drama queen. They call ambulances for broken toes too, but then they laugh you right out of the hospital. Grandpa knows that one personally."

Seto blinked, then laughed.

"Well, we are NOT equipped to handle this kind of injury." The campus physician said. "Off with you, the ambulance is out front!!!" Seto sighed and walked out front, his jacket wrapped around his mangled arm. Ahmose appeared out from behind the ambulance and walked over to Yami, glancing at Seto.

Yami watched the ambulance go calmly. "What happened?"

Ahmose sighed. "I dunno. Marik ran off. I went and changed and got dressed and then came to find you." He said, prodding a new bruise on his cheek, and there was a cut above his right eye. "As for your earlier question, no, Seto will not be... one of my kind. He wasn't bitten under the moon."

Yami nodded slowly. "Ah...ok." he said slowly. "Well that's good, so when we end up together for real, we can add biting to things legal to do in bed." he snickered softly.

Ahmose slowly turned and looked at Yami. "... Only you, Yami..." He sighed with a deep sigh, shaking his head and heading for the cafe. "Only you..."

Yami chuckled following. "It's why we're such good friends." he said calmly. "Besides, if I didn't say that kinda stuff sometimes, what would you do? Live a dull life staring at textbooks."

"And getting beat up by my father? And running through the woods as a wolf at night? And hunt rabbits? And plot to overthrow my father?" Ahmose asked, snickering. "My life is far from all textbooks, Yami."

"Textbook case of kid hates daddy." Yami cooed. "I didn't see the hot animal sex in there either."

Ahmose rolled his eyes, but chuckled, then turned and shoved Yami up against the wall. Yami's eyes widened when Ahmose began to change right before his eyes, growing sharp teeth, claws, pointed ears and even showing a bit of fur.

"You wanna try some hot animal sex?" He growled in a deep throaty tone.

Yami looked thoughtful. "....got a bag?" he asked after a moment. "Because I can’t focus on fucking you mad if you've got a furry face."

Ahmose immediately returned to normal, laughing and shaking his head. "How about if I have a tail?" He asked, looking very tickled... especially for Ahmose.

Yami smirked. "You've always had a tail."

Ahmose rolled his eyes and shook his head, then turned around and looked down towards his own ass, and Yami found himself staring at a bushy black tail. "I rather like my tail." Ahmose said. "Don't you?"

Yami grabbed it and pulled it, and Ahmose's hips (which he'd grabbed as well) against himself. "Watch it tail boy, or you're going to have issues with daddy when you get home..." he hissed smirking.

Ahmose sighed and once again smiled and shook his head. "Honestly, at this moment, I really don't give a damn..." He said, chuckling at himself in disbeleif, and his tail started wagging.

Yami snorted softly. "Boys locker room it is." he cooed dragging Ahmose roughly off. So much for THAT break up

Ahmose's eyes widened. "WHAT?!" He yelped, the tail disappearing. "Yami!!! I have cracked ribs and a sprained wrist!!! And we have class in fifteen minutes and STILL haven't eaten lunch!!!" He whined. "AND I NEVER HAD BREAKFAST!!!

"Your own fault on the food, screw class, I'm screwing you." he hissed. "I'll be gentle."

Ahmose planted his feet on the ground. "NOT IN THE LOCKER ROOM!!!" He hissed, tugging Yami in the opposite direction. But Yami fixed a determined look onto Ahmose's face, and the taller boy sighed. "Fine... but NOT in the locker room, come on..." And he dragged Yami in the direction of the parking lot. "Let's get off of the campus for gods' sakes..."

Yami smirked. "Alright. Somewhere with a shower though, so you can wash off. Don’t want your dad smackin you around again..." he said softly.

Ahmose blinked. "Your place?" He asked with a smile.

Yami nodded. "fine..." he cooed as they got in his car. "Drive or I'll start foolin around in here."

Ahmose slowly grinned, and Yami could see a sharp canine. Ah... a rare occurance had happened; the wolf was in the mood, and was gonna play hooky to get it...

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Ryou was in the middle of giving the house a good thorough cleaning when the phone rang. He scurried over to answer it, chirping a cheerful hello.

"Ryou? It's Seto." Seto said.

Ryou smiled slightly. "Hello, it's nice to hear from you." Ryou said softly. "What's up?"

Seto sighed. "I'm in the hospital. Just got about two hundred stitches in my arm."

Ryou's eyes widened. "Oh my goodness! What happened?" he squeaked in shock.

There was a lengthy pause. "I was attacked out of nowhere in the middle of the college campus by your dog."

Ryou whimpered softly. "He's not my dog..." he pouted. "I'm so sorry... I-is there anything I can do for you?"

Seto sighed. "Just... don't let him near you again... he's dangerous, Ryou..."

Ryou sighed softly. "A-alright..." he said after a moment. "He hasn't been around in a few days... I'll try to avoid him..."

"Okay... I'll drop by as soon as I'm discharged, okay?" Seto said.

Ryou nodded. "I'm so sorry... I never would have imagined that he'd do that to you..." Ryou said shaking his head. "I... I'll bake you a get-well cake."

Seto chuckled. "That sounds great. See you in a bit." And he hung up.

Ryou sighed softly and shook his head. "I cannot believe..." he said furiously. "That horrid... horrid!" he was at a loss for words. Livid was a good explanation of his mood. The very idea that Marik had attacked Seto just to get back at him for breaking off their ties infuriated him! He'd only done it to save them both grief!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Days passed slowly for the once again lonesome desert wolf. With the full moon drawing ever closer even Bakura felt bad for him and would bring him things to cheer him up.

Ryou however, was equally downtrodden. Even in his visits to Seto he wasn't his usual happy self. He missed his dog...

Malik and Bakura and Ishizu sat around talking, finally deciding that the news had to be broken. They went to Marik's room, and walked in. Marik, as he had been for the last week, was curled up on his bed in half form. He opened one eye and looked at them.

"Marik..." Malik said softly. "You... haven't come to run with the pack in a month..."

"I don't want to run with the pack." Marik muttered. Malik sighed.

"There's a meeting tonight." He said.

"I'm not going." Marik mumbled. Malik looked at Ishizu and Bakura, then sighed.

"You have to... Takeru finally found out about you attacking Seto Kaiba... the meeting is about you. You have to face the Alpha..." Malik said in a very worried tone. Marik frowned.

Ishizu sighed. "Come on Marik..." She said softly. "It's time to get over things...and get back to your life." she gently scratched his ears, something he tended to enjoy. "You've had your time to mourn...but it's over now."

Bakura nodded, looking sad. "I'm sorry I teased you..." he said after a moment. An apology from Bakura was a rare occurance. "I didn't realize..." he sighed. "C'mon Marik... you gotta come to the meeting..."

"What, so that bastard we call Alpha can throw a pissy fit and rip me a new one?"

"Pretty much..." Malik mumbled with a shrug.

"Gods... I wish Ahmose would fuckin' kill that ass and take over already!!!" Marik spat.

Ishizu glared at them both. "I don’t want that talk in my house." She said once more. "Marik... it's better to go to the meeting than to not, and have him come to YOU." she said softly.

"Yeah yeah..." Marik grumbled, and got up. He changed to wolf form, as did the others, and they slipped out of the house and headed for the woods on the edge of town. They got there in half an hour. The place was swarming with wolves, at least fifty of them. They all grew silent and watched the Ishtars approach. They headed for four large black wolves; The wolf sitting up on the fallen log was Takeru, glaring at Marik, and laying at the base of the log was Mikado, next to Otogi, and off to the side a bit, Ahmose.

Ishizu sat down near a tree, Malik sitting next to her.

Bakura gave Marik a worried look, and sat near him. 'It'll be ok...' his tail wagged softly. He gave him a half hopeful look.

Takeru growled, and the wolves slowly changed to their half forms.

"Bakura. Unless you were involved in the reckless attack, step aside!!!" He ordered.

Bakura glared but backed away as he was told.

Takeru hopped off of the log, and walked towards Marik, who crouched, submissively.

"My son tells me that he had to stop an attack on Seto Kaiba. An attack that you launched in broad daylight in front of DOZENS of witnesses!!!" And the black wolf backhanded Marik.

Bakura winced and gave Ahmose an upset look. He knew Ahmose didn't tell on purpose... but still...

"Care to explain yourself?" Takeru growled. "Because of YOUR recklessness, we may have to leave this city!!!" And he backhanded Marik again. Marik was silent and didn't say a word. Takeru narrowed his eyes, laid his ears back, and growled.

Ishizu frowned and laid her ears back in worry. "If it's not too bold to say... the authorities didn't seem to upset over it. They've just boosted animal control watch." she said submissivly, not wanting to draw anger on herself. "If he lays low, it may blow over..."

Takeru whirled and glared at her. "He is YOUR responsibility..." He hissed. "If this happens again, it is YOUR pelt, Ishizu!!!" He turned back to Marik. "And he IS going to lay low. Until I say otherwise, Marik, you are GROUNDED!!!"

"What?!" Marik yelped, turning and facing Takeru, but he was thrown to the ground.

Ishizu jumped slightly at that. "Marik listen to Takeru." she warned. "It's not as if you were going anywhere anyway. You were just curled up in your bed for nearly two weeks."

Takeru circled Marik. "As I said. You are grounded. If you leave your house, you will be with a member of the pack. You are never to be left alone in the house."

"But my job!!!" Marik cried.

"Bakura goes to work half an hour after you. He will escort you to work." Takeru said calmly. "And you will report home immediately afterwards." He looked at Ishizu. "If he is ONE MINUTE late, you will call me. And I will deal with him. Is that understood?"

Ishizu nodded. "Crystal." She said softly.

Takeru looked around. "No one is to go out in their fur within the city alone until my say so!!! We are wolves! We travel in packs!!! And that is now a rule!!! Is that CLEAR?!"

The wolves all nodded calmly, and murmurs of agreement were heard.

Takeru nodded, then turned. "And you two." Mikado and Ahmose both lowered their heads and lay their ears back. "Come here." After a moment's hesitation, Mikado stood and Ahmose struggled to his feet, and limped towards his father, Mikado by his side. They stopped before him. Takeru looked back and forth between his grown pups, then snarled and slapped them both. Ahmose closed his eyes as his head whipped to the side, and he clenched his teeth and fists, but did nothing.

"You will BOTH sever your ties with your human friends. IMMEDIATELY!!!" Takeru roared.

"But dad--" Mikado began to protest, only to be slapped again.

"You will sever your ties with your human friends immediately." Takeru hissed, and he looked around. "That goes for all of you pups!!! Until you can learn how to associate with humans properly, you will not mingle with them. I expect you parents to keep a very close eye on your pups and see that no one gets too friendly! Is that CLEAR?!" He turned and fixed a look on Ishizu, as Malik shrunk down behind her.

Ishizu nodded slowly, letting Malik hide behind her. "Anything else?" she asked softly. "If it's all the same I'd like to get home as soon as possible..." she said calmly. "The night air is bothering me tonight..."

Takeru narrowed his eyes at her. "You leave when I say you can leave, bitch." Malik and Marik both growled. Takeru whirled and kicked Marik. The golden wolf yelped and rolled away, whining and clutching his side. Well... now he knew how Ahmose received all of his busted ribs... "Don't you DARE growl at me!!!" Takeru shouted, moving after Marik. "You're in enough trouble as it is!!"

"Dad..." Ahmose gasped, grabbing his father's shoulder. Takeru whirled and backhanded Ahmose to the ground. "YOU REMEMBER YOUR PLACE, PUP!!!"

Ishizu pulled Marik to her and cooed to him. "Shh...just let him finish. We'll go home when he's done." she said softly. "Don’t get in any more trouble."

Marik whined and whimpered, but winced when Takeru slammed his foot down on Ahmose's stomach. The wolf on the ground gave a strangled yelp.

"You're lucky I let you keep going to school..." Takeru snarled, watching his son gag. "You are also grounded." He said after a moment. "You will only leave the house to take your brother to and from school, and to attend your classes. And I will give you both a thorough scent search, and if I find any evidence that you've been hanging out with humans, well... I don't think you'll want to face the consequences..."

Bakura glared harshly at Takeru and winced when he kicked Ahmose away. "Anything else?" he asked, trying not to growl.

Takeru glared around at the pack, many of whom looked angry at his abuse of the nearly grown pups, but none who would dare object. "Everyone stay inside for the next week. No going out in your fur under ANY circumstances. Now get the hell home."

Ishizu went back to her wolf form, and nudged Malik and Marik. 'come on.' she huffed nipping them and they began their walk home. Bakura followed closely behind. Once they were back inside Ishizu nudged the door closed and trotted off. She came back dressed a moment later. "At least that's over with." She said rubbing her temples.

Malik and Bakura, who were sitting in the living room in their boxers, said nothing. Marik was once again in his room.

Ishizu sighed softly noticing this and deciding to check on Marik. "Marik?" she called softly, before entering his room. "Are you ok?"

"Go away." Marik grumbled.

Ishizu sighed and sat next to him and hugged him. "Marik...I'm sorry." She said softly.

Marik growled loudly. "I said go away." He snarled, laying his ears back.

Ishizu sighed once more and got up. "I'll be here...when you decide to see me..." she mumbled walking to the door. "You'll always have your family."

Marik curled up tighter and took on his wolf form, hiding his face in his tail.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Yami groaned as he was woken by the phone. After fumbling around a bit, he picked it up and gave a mumbled greeting.

"Yami?" Ahmose whispered in a raspy voice.

Yami blinked a bit. "Hnnn Ahmose?" he mumbled. "Why are you calling? Isn't it a little late?"

"I... I can't take you and Yugi to school anymore..." Ahmose said softly. "Dad is... well..." He sighed. "I can't see you anymore... just... in class and lunch break... Dad is really laying down the law, now... And... Gods, I just..."

Yami blinked and nodded. "It's fine Ahmose." he said softly. "What matters right now is staying safe." Yami cooed. "Just take it easy. Yugi and I can get around without you. There's nothing to apologize about."

"I'm sorry..." Ahmose whispered anyway. "Marik really fucked things up. Not just for us, but for the whole pack..."

"It's ok Ahmose." Yami said once more. "Things will be ok. Just go rest. You sound like you've gotten your own little hell. We'll talk at lunch." he said softly.

Ahmose sighed. "Yeah..." He finally said after a moment. "Okay... See you then, but... no physical contact, Yami. He's... giving me thorough smelling over from now on... He doesn't want to smell humans on me..."

"I understand." Yami said sighing. "Seeya tomorrow?"

".... Yeah..." Ahmose whispered. "... see ya..." And he hung up with a soft click.

Yami sighed and hung up as well.

The next day he met with Ahmose at lunch, sitting casually across from him. "You look like hell.." he said softly.

Ahmose sighed and rubbed the new bruising on his face, and slashes from his father's claws. "I feel like hell..." He mumbled, poking at his food. He kept one arm wrapped around his middle.

"So... why did Marik attack Seto? did he ever say?" Yami asked after a moment. "What'd I miss?"

Ahmose shrugged. "I don't know. He won't talk to anyone. But... from what I hear... Marik has a thing for Ryou. And so does Seto Kaiba. And Ryou seems to prefer Seto..."

Yami sighed. "Figures. Does...Ryou KNOW?" he asked after a moment.

Ahmose blinked. "Know what? That Marik likes him? I think so."

"I mean, about...you know..." Yami said after a moment. "Did Marik tell him?"

Ahmose blinked. "I... don't know." He said softly.

Yami shook his head. "I hope he didn't tell...I mean...not that Ryou's the type to blab about things like that...but...I dunno..." he sighed. "I cant believe he did that."

Ahmose shook his head. "All I know is that Marik is now holed up in his room and won't come out. He's even saying that he's gonna quit his job. And that's bad because that's the only time he's allowed out of the house until dad says otherwise..."

Yami frowned. "maybe I should talk to Ryou..." he said after a moment. "Maybe if I can talk him into visiting Marik at work....he might perk up a little..." he offered weakly. "I'm not sure what else can be done..."

Ahmose sighed and shrugged. "Sure... if Marik even GOES to work..."

"Maybe you could talk to him..." Yami said. "I cant believe he's taking it so hard...I thought he was proud of being such a single guy. He used to brag about it.."

"I... I can't." Ahmose said. "I'm grounded, too."

Yami chuckled softly and shook his head. "Telephone?"

Ahmose blinked. "Oh yeah..." He mused thoughtfully.

"I think I know how to force them to talk..." Yami said after a moment. "Ryou's too curteous to ever refuse a friend a favor. I could order something from the butcher shop...and ask Ryou to pick it up." Yami chuckled softly.

Ahmose chuckled. "But how do we make sure Marik goes to work?"

"That's where you come in. You tell him I want something. Hell I dont care what, and ask him to make sure I get the best he's got. Tell him it's important he goes to work, because I have to talk to him about something." Yami said calmly. "Then I'll send Ryou."

Ahmose sighed. "I think I'll just talk to his sister and she'll bully him into going..." he said with a chuckle.

"Lazy." Yami laughed. "That works. Well..it's almost time for class..." he said sighing. "I'll...seeya later?" he offered looking sad to be seperated from his lover.

Ahmose sighed and nodded, smiling. "Yeah..." He said, also looking very sad and depressed. "See ya..."

That night Ishizu recieved the call from Ahmose, while Yami met with Ryou.

"Marik...it's time for work." She said walking into his room.

Marik groaned and curled up tighter. "Noooooo... I'm sleepinggg..."

"Marik Ishtar, it's time to get up and go to work. Yami ordered four thickly cut top sirloin steaks and he wants to talk to you right away. Now get off your furry ass and go to work!" Ishizu said harshly.

"I quit!!!" Marik barked, squirming under his covers.

"Like hell you do." She said yanking the covers off. "If you dont get your ass out that door and to work, I'll call Takeru to kick your ass until you do." she growled

"I think Takeru would prefer it if I quit. After all... then I won't go out at all and I won't have to deal with HUMANS all day long!!!" Marik shouted.

"Get out!" Ishizu growled. "Get out and work!"

"NO!!" Marik shouted.

Ishizu bared her teeth, which had grown large canines before grabbing Marik by his ear and dragging him from the bed. "You're going whether you want to or NOT!" She howled, smacking him with each step she took. "So help me I'll kick your ass myself!" And she opened the door and did just that, kicked his ass out, where Marik tumbled onto the steps and at Bakura's feet, just in time to hear the door slam shut and lock

Marik blinked and sat there in his boxers, confused.

A moment later clothes rained down on his head from the second story window. "GO TO WORK!"

"Hey!!" Marik yelped, covering his head with his arms when he found himself being pelted with shoes.

Bakura snickered. "Looks like she's sending you a message Marik." he said helping gather up the clothes. "C'mon then...lets go before we're late..."

Marik scowled and stood, bitching as he dressed. "I don't give a damn if I'm late." He snapped.

"Oh pardon me. I give a damn if I'M late." Bakura said rolling his eyes.

Marik snorted and shook his head, but walked down the street with Bakura, glaring at the floor.

Bakura sighed. "Are you still pouting over that human...?" he asked softly after a moment.

"Shut up." Marik growled, baring sharp teeth.

Bakura sighed. "Marik...you'll find someone else..." he said softly. "He's not the only fish in the sea."

Marik snorted. "But he's the best catch I could have ever made..."

"How so?" Bakura said after a moment. "How could he have possibly been the best?"

"How is MALIK the best, huh? And if you can TELL me why... well, then... he's not the best for you. Cuz when you find the best, you can't put it into words." Marik said, walking faster and moving away from Bakura.

"Well I can tell you why that kid ISN'T the best for you." Bakura said shaking his head. "He's not a werewolf."

"He's lucky." Marik snorted. "I wish I shared that luck."

"Luck like a rock. He's not a friend anymore." Bakura said calmly. "He's open game for Takeru again."

Marik frowned. "Well... Ryou made his choice." He said, reaching the butcher. "He knew what was on the line."

"Another reason why he wasn't the best. If he was, he would have chosen you." Bakura said calmly. "Think about that." he said continuing on to his own job, which was only a couple of buildings away.

Marik sighed and walked into the butcher, preparing for work under his boss's shouts.

Said boss left shortly after chewing Marik out, leaving the wolf to tend to the butcher shop until closing time. It was nearing sunset and closing time, before the soft tinkle of the bell on the door caught Marik's attention from his closing preparations.

"Hey there, can I help you?" He asked, then turned around.

Ryou bit his lip and forced himself not to look up from his small paper. "I... I'm picking up something..." he said softly.

“… Why here?” Marik asked in a monotone voice. “I’m sure there are a couple of grocery stores with butchers in them closer to you.”

"Certainly not because I wanted to." Ryou said handing the paper to Marik. "Yami asked me to pick up his order."

Marik blinked and took it. "Oh. I see. Okay, then... I'll, uh... get it for you." And he turned and began preparing the meat.

Ryou waited patiently, not saying a word, not even looking at Marik.

Marik did the same, just working with the meat, preparing it, weighing it, pricing it, and wrapping it up. "Twenty three fifty." He said, telling Ryou the total and putting the meat into a bag.

Ryou presented his credit card once more. "Thanks." he said waiting for Marik to finish with it.

Marik swiped it, waited for it to clear, then presented the receipt to Ryou for his signature.

Ryou signed it and gave it back to Marik, taking his card and picking up the bag. "Thank you." He said turning and heading towards the door.

Marik tucked the store's copy of the receipt into the register, and picked up a disinfectant wipe, cleaning off the surface he had just trimmed the meat on, not saying a word, and not even looking at Ryou.

Ryou opened the door and paused for a moment, not looking back. "You have a lot of nerve attacking Seto like that." he said before walking out.

Marik blinked and looked after Ryou, then narrowed his eyes and snarled. "Yeah..." He hissed. "And next time I'll fuckin' kill 'im... and damn the consequences..."

Ryou glared back at Marik. "You hurt him again, and I'll tell." he said warningly. "I'll force you out of this town."

Marik snorted. "You act as though I give a damn." He sneered. "And besides... who would beleive you? Not to mention, one word from me and Takeru will slaughter you. Not like he's... not on the hunt again already. You're not safe anymore. He's going to be hunting you again."

"I don’t care." Ryou said back. "Perhaps if I die that'll make you stop being such an ass to Seto. If you want to get back at me for sending you away, then get back at ME. Don’t take your pitiful jealousy out on Seto!" Ryou said coldly. "You're just a jealous scraggly old MUTT! I cant believe I even let you into my house, you're nothing but a vicious stupid wild animal!"

Before Ryou knew it, Marik had hurtled the counter, seized Ryou and slammed him up against the wall. Not only that, but Marik was in his halfway form, ear back and teeth bared. "You don't know the MEANING of vicious wild animal, human!!!" He roared. "But I can show you..."

Ryou was absolutely terrified, but he still gave Marik a strong look. "Do it, then you'll be a vicious wild animal, and a liar." he said coldly.

"A liar?!" Marik demanded.

"You promised never to hurt me." Ryou said smartly. "Dumb brute."

Marik froze and stopped snarling, and slowly, his grip on Ryou loosened, and he lowered the boy to the floor. By the time Ryou's feet had hit the floor, Marik was back in his human body again. He released his grip, and stepped away, looking shocked.

Ryou picked up his bag, which had been dropped in the scuffle.

Marik looked at him, then sighed and turned, picking up the broom and beginning to push it across the floor, his eyes downcast.

Ryou looked away. "You're nothing but a brute..." he scolded. "Did you think attacking him would make things better? You must have thought it would be so funny to get back at me by hurting him."

"... I... wasn't thinking about... you. And it wasn't to get back at you..." Marik said, softly. "I'm sorry..."

Ryou glared. "What were you thinking then? What could have gone through your head that made it seem OK to attack someone!?" Ryou shouted furiously. "I've never been so furious with someone in my whole life!"

Marik sighed. "I was... jealous. Because... he... he was... dammit..." Marik braced his hands on the counter and hung his head. "... I'm sorry...

"Because he was what?!" Ryou scolded. "Do share the reasonings of a beast!"

Marik sighed. "It's just... in my culture... our people... when two males compete for a mate, they... fight. Sometimes to the death... and... I guess I... he's competition... and I dunno... I guess that I just got it into my head that if I eliminated the competition, you would..." He threw his hands up. "I don't know. I was thinking crazy."

Ryou glared. "Well in MY culture, if two people are competing for someone the quickest way to lose is to act like a complete JACKASS." he howled.

"I... I know..." Marik said softly. "Which is why you were right... we can't see each other. You're human and I'm... just a beast." And he began sweeping again.

Ryou shook his head. "And if you're right, and I'm being hunted again...I accept that." Ryou said calming down. "I didn't send you away because of what you are. I sent you away because I didn't want to cause YOU trouble. The fact that you did that afterward infuriates me. I thought you were better than that."

"I thought I was too. And I'm sorry... You are in danger again, and that's my fault... Ryou..." He sighed and turned. "I understand if you can't ever love me, but... Just remember. Don't go out at night alone after dark. And if you ever think you're in trouble... call me and I'll be by your side as fast as I can. I won't let Takeru hurt you if I can help it."

"Don’t make anymore promises you cant keep." Ryou said softly.

Marik looked at Ryou. "What promises have I made that I haven't kept?" He asked in an equally soft tone.

"That you'd never hurt me...and you've hurt me." Ryou said looking away. "Not physically. Don’t make me anymore promises..."

Marik winced, then looked down, and slowly nodded. "Fine... no more promises..." He said.

Ryou shook his head sadly and turned back to the door. "I only sent you away to make sure you wouldn't be in trouble..." he mumbled wiping tears from his eyes. "I meant what I said...I did love you..." he left this time, and the soft tinkle of the bells was all that was left of Ryou's visit.

Marik walked to the door and watched Ryou go, then flipped the sign over to 'CLOSED'. Then he began to close up, three hours early, and left a note of resignation on the counter for his boss before locking up and leaving. He was halfway home when he finally said 'fuck it'. He went into some bushes, changed to his wolf form, and took off. And three hours later, Ishizu was pacing the kitchen and watching the clock, praying that Marik showed in the next five minutes... if he didn't, she was required to call Takeru.

"Where is he?" She said worriedly. "Gods..." She paced more. "It's just like him to pull a stunt like this when he's already in trouble..." She paced more. After a few more minutes she paused to look at the clock. If Marik didn't show in the next two minutes...she had a call to make...

Malik and Bakura looked at each other. Bakura sighed.

"I didn't tell you this before..." He said. "But... The store was closed up when I walked by." Malik's eyes widened.

"What?! So... Marik's been off for over an hour?! It only takes him fifteen minutes to get home!!!" The boy yelped.

Ishizu sighed. "It doesn't matter...he's late now...I have to call Takeru..." She said hanging her head and picking up the phone, calling said asshole...erm...pack leader.

"Hello?" Mikado answered, pausing his video game.

"It's Ishizu...Marik's gone." she said softly. "Can you tell your father that?"

Mikado's eyes widened, and then he closed them. "Oh no... already? Ishizu, what the hell is wrong with him?! Dad's gonna KILL him for this!!!"

"I'm gonna kill who for what?" Takeru asked, walking into the room. Mikado's eyes widened and he gulped.

"Oh... Um... Dad... M-Marik is... gone... didn't come home from work..." The boy squeaked, and in a flash, his father was gone, his clothes on the floor, and Mikado watched the black wolf dart out through the doggy door. Mikado sighed. "Dad's out looking for him, Ishizu..." He said softly, glancing at Ahmose in the doorway.

Ishizu sighed. "I know..." She shook her head. "He closed up an hour early...he's been missing for over an hour...he knew he was breaking the rules before he started..."

Mikado sighed. "Well... good luck to him..." And he hung up.

Ishizu hung up as well. "Takeru's hunting Marik down... I... I don’t think we're going to see him again..." she sighed.

Malik's eyes widened. "You... you don't REALLY think Takeru will..." Malik stopped, unable to voice it.

"Mikado thinks so... and at this point... I wouldn't be surprised." She said softly.

Malik stared at his sister, then turned and buried his face into Bakura's shoulder, crying in fear.

Ishizu shook her head looking a bit upset as well. "Go to bed... I'll wait up and see if Takeru brings him back..." She cooed softly.

"Go to bed?!" Malik cried. "How the hell do you expect me to sleep knowing that... that Marik..."

"I don’t expect you to sleep, I expect you to go to your room..." She said softly. "In case Takeru comes. He'll have words to say to me too I'm sure."

Malik shook his head. "No way..." He said, rubbing his nose. "We're a family, and we'll face this as a family..."

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Takeru trotted through the woods outside of the town, Rex slightly behind him. Both had their noses to the ground as they tracked Marik down. They reached the creek bed, and finally found their renegade member. Marik was laying on a rock, staring down into the water.

Rex smirked and his tail lashed he growled softly, looking forward to tearing Marik a new one. 'Can we tear him up?' he let out a soft whine. 'c'mon! He deserves it! He hangs with a stinking human!'

Takeru narrowed his eyes and changed to his half form, stalking towards Marik on all fours. "Not even twenty four hours and you've already dug your own grave..." He rumbled. Marik's ears swivelled back, and he picked up his head and turned, looking at the Alpha. He stared for a moment, then rested his chin on his paws and stared back into the water again. Takeru blinked, confused. He was expecting Marik to jump and yelp and immediately flatten himself to the ground and expose his belly and start kissing major ass.

Rex trotted forward, full wolf and growled at Marik. 'What the hell's wrong with you!' he snarled. 'Don’t you ignore him!' he lunged forward and bit Marik's side.

Marik yelped and topped off of his rock. Takeru sat down with a chuckle to watch the boys... play. "Now really, Marik... you know better than to go against my orders... You knew what the result would be..."

Rex shook his head around the hunk of Marik's flesh in his mouth, tearing him up as much as he could while he had the chance. 'God you stink like a human.' he growled slamming Marik into the water.

Marik whined and floundered to the edge of the creek, changing to his halfway form. "What do you expect you jackass?!" He growled at Rex. "I only work in a store that they come to every fuckin' day!!"

Rex changed as well and slapped Marik. "You're such a fuckin pussy! Hanging around with them like they're something special!" he snarled.

"It's a fuckin' JOB!!! We all have one!!!" Marik shouted back, holding his side.

"Yes..." Takeru drawled, getting up. "But everyone also has their orders. And you are the only one who disobeyed them..."

Rex growled and punched Marik in the side he'd bitten. "Dumbass."

Marik yelped and dropped to his knees.

"You're endangering the whole pack." Takeru snarled. "I can't allow that..."

Rex growled as well. "We should just kill his sorry ass..." he grumbled. "He's nothin but a whiner."

Takeru snorted. "Perhaps we should..." Takeru said. "But I beleive in... giving second chances..." He smirked and advanced on Marik. "But that doesn't mean you're off the hook..." And the pair fell on the golden wolf with bloodthirsty howls.

It wasn't for hours that Takeru finally dragged a battered and bloodied Marik back to his house, and tossed him at Ishizu. She picked him up and sighed. "Marik...Why did you do that?" She asked softly, helping him to the bathroom to get him cleaned up.

Marik whined, hardly able to walk. Takeru smirked. "He doesn't leave this house, Ishizu." He said from the bathroom door. "Marik here volunteered the information that he left a lovely letter of resignation at his job, so he no longer has any reason to go out. And you will make sure of that, or it will be him cleaning YOU up in the bathroom... Got it?"

Ishizu nodded. "As clear as always." She said looking back.

Takeru smirked. "Good." He turned to leave, but stopped, and turned back. "Actually... I think it will be MALIK who will be cleaning you up in the bathroom. Because if there is a next time... I will not spare Marik's life." And he turned and left.

She snorted once he was gone and went into the bathroom, running Marik a bath. "Why did you do that Marik?"

Marik didn't speak, he just coughed and gagged and shook his head. Malik and Bakura were immediately in the doorway, nosey as ever.

Ishizu sighed and helped Marik into the tub, beginning to wash him off. "Marik....WHY did you run off like that. You knew what would happen...Please. We're family..."

"... Because I didn't give a damn..." Marik finally gasped out, clutching his side. "... Still don't.”

"Are you insane?! Marik you could have been killed!" She said sternly. "And not only that, you're putting our FAMILY in danger over your hard headedness!" she said sighing. "You have to do what Takeru says..."

"Takeru can fuck himself!!!" Marik snapped, then winced.

Ishizu sighed and clunked Marik on the head. "Shut up." she groaned. "Even after a beating you're still a dumbass."

Marik didn't answer, he just grumbled and rubbed his head where Ishizu had smacked him, but after a moment he said "Gods dammit, woman! I just got the beating of a lifetime and you have to go and add to it?!"

"You had it coming." she scolded. "I keep warning you I dont want that talk in MY house." she glared. "This time I warned you with my fist."

Marik glared. "Why?! Are you just going to sit around and let that TYRANT rule this pack with an iron fist?! A fist filled with CLAWS that he USES on his own PUPS?!"

"It's not our place." She said calmly. "Ahmose will take over when he's ready and not until." She said shaking her head. "That's HIS job as heir."

Marik rolled his eyes. "Oh, give it up, Ishizu. There are no HEIRS in a wolf pack. The Alpha is the one who overthrows the leader and asserts his dominance over the whole pack. And Takeru has his supporters. We both know that when Ahmose makes his move to be Alpha, he'll be fighting more than just his father. He's gonna have to fight other males who will be looking at his move as a chance to take leadership themselves. Takeru did. But he had supporters ready to fight for him."

"So does Ahmose." Malik said from the doorway. "Come on... we all know that if other males turn on Ahmose to try and take the leadership, Mikado will be right there with his brother. And we know that we will support Ahmose too. Right?"

"Of course." Ishizu said calmly. "But it's not any of OUR rights to try and assert dominance over Takeru. That is Ahmose's place." She said softly. "Now no more of this talk. One of these times someone's going to hear."

"So?" Malik asked. "Ishizu, everyone has been talking it about for the past two years!!! Ever since Ahmose turned eighteen they've been wondering when he'd make his move to overthrow Takeru. Even Takeru knows Ahmose will try it. He just doesn't think it will be in near future."

"It's a good thing, too." Bakura agreed, nodding. "If Takeru knew that Ahmose is planning to make his move when he turns twenty one, he would have had Ahmose killed by now."

"Exactly!" Ishizu said glaring. "And if someone HEARS you talking about it, what do you think will happen because of it!?" she scolded.

Marik rolled his eyes and looked at Malik and Bakura. "Okay boys, apparently Freedom of Speech doesn't apply to werewolves."

WHACK. "NOT in this house it doesn't." Ishizu growled, glaring at Marik. "And if you mention it again, I'll toss you out myself and let Takeru have you!"

Marik snorted and slumped back into the tub. "Maybe that would be the KIND thing to do..."

Ishizu sighed. "I wish you'd just get over it and perk up." she grumbled dumping water on his head. "You cant change the past."

Marik sighed. "I know..." He whispered after a bit, and began struggling to stand.

Ishizu sighed and helped him up, handing him a towel. "The only thing you can do, is learn from it, and move on." She said shaking her head. "You'll find someone else. Someone better for you."

"And how the hell am I supposed to do that, huh?!" Marik asked, suddenly turning on his sister viciously. "When that bastard tyrant Takeru won't let us associate with anyone outside of the pack?! There is NO ONE in the pack that I want to be with!!! NO ONE!!!"

"There are other packs Marik. He doesn't want us associating with humans, he'd care a LOT less about associating with other werewolves!" Ishizu argued.

Bakura frowned. "Ishizu, you know it's not that easy... Marik could get killed if he tries to take someone from another pack..."

It was well known that packs were very territorial, and did not often welcome strangers, especially males from other packs seeking a mate to take back with them. Many males who went searching for a mate in other packs were never seen again.

"It's not any less safe than what Marik was trying." Ishizu said shaking her head. "He'd get himself killed, AND the human."

Marik sighed. "Maybe I should just... leave..."

"Oh, come on, Marik!" Malik scoffed. "Even YOU aren't cut out to be a Lone Wolf."

"Malik's right. If you broke away from the pack, where would you go?" Ishizu said worriedly.

"The only place Loners CAN go..." Malik snorted. "To a small town with no other werewolves, or the wilderness..."

"And do what?! Sulk in your loneliness?" Bakura said crossing his arms. "Marik that's the most ass thing you've said in a while!"

"Fuck you." Marik grumbled, wrapping the towel around his waist as Ishizu looked over his injuries, hoping he wouldn't need stitches.

Ishizu got out the first aid kit and began bandaging Marik where needed. "Gods you're lucky you don’t need stitches..." she grumbled. "Bakura don’t provoke him, he's already lost his mind, we don’t want him going berzerk."

Marik growled softly, but said nothing, and Malik elbowed Bakura in the ribs.

"I just wanna go to bed and sleep for the next five years..." Marik grumbled.

"The Harvest Moon is coming up..." Ishizu said softly. "Even if you don’t have a mate, I doubt Takeru would make you stay inside for it... we always have a big meal and a little celebration..."

Malik frowned. "The Harvest moon is a month away..." He said softly.

"And by then, I'm sure Takeru will have cooled down." She said shaking her head.

"We can HOPE." Marik snorted. "Stupid asshole... Why doesn't the PACK just rise up against him?!"

Whack. "Shut up."

Marik whined.
