CHAPTER 5

His friends did not like the idea of him getting 2 people killed but he made them promise to take care of his other special friend. So here he was walking to his high school to kill the principle but he had a question

“Yami. How come he left me so suddenly? I wasn’t looking so I figured you did something. Did you?”

“yes I did I made his body paralysed. Then you ran out and I came after you. The effects should of worn off now if not. You might have to change your plan a bit”
Yugi nodded already thinking of another way. Soon they reached the school entrance he was scared but he knew he had to do this, a friend was in danger. He walked up to the secretary and asked

“excuse me. Is the principle still in his office?”
She nodded then went to get up but he said

“that’s okay no need to get up. He’s expecting me so I‘ll let myself in”
She sat down and began typing again Yugi said in his mind

/ok get ready. I don’t think it’s worn off yet. Cause he never left/
He walked into the office a little to see the principle on the floor watching him

/k get in here Yami/

*ok I’m coming in*

“well looks like your still paralysed. Good it will make it easier to kill you for threatening my friend and I. Oh here is your executioner now”
Yami fazed through the glass and stepped up to beside Yugi who looked at him then Yami asked

“should we make this a quick or slow death little one?”

“No we’ll quick for him because it’s school time. But after we use his head as bait we’ll make the bad cop have a slow death. Well I don’t want to see it but tell me when your done so I can scream after you leave”
The principle looked at him with pleading eyes but Yugi just said

“Sorry but your getting what you deserve. You only had to threaten me but now you threaten my friend who can’t even defend herself. Good bye”
Yami walked over and kneeled beside the man and in one quick move snapped his neck with a sickening CRACK and in another move sliced through his neck taking the head in his hands Yami told Yugi he was done then quickly left before Yugi screamed. Slowly Yugi turned around and was shocked of the amount of blood coming from the shoulders, this would be easy to scream because he wanted to

“Ok big breath and”

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”
Then he bolted out of the office skidding and then falling on the ground crashing into a garbage can the lady looked shocked at Yugi and he returned the looked but he had lost all color to his face he started moving his lips like his grandpa had down then stuttered

“You need to call the cops and tell them we need a coroner here. NOW!”
She jumped at his tone and quickly dailed 911 and he took off like a bat out of hell from the school. He ran to his destination which was a park with a creek and found Yami at the waters edge moving something in the water and looked up to Yugi

“Damn you scream loud I could hear you from here”

“Tell me about I think I made myself deaf. I wonder if the secretary will be stupid enough to go in there. But I made quiet the performance saying she needed to phone the cops and the coroner. I think I gave her enough of a heart attack as well as the whole school. Man that made the throat hurt”
Yami laughed a little at him and pulled the head out of the water

“I have an idea Yami. Why don’t we see if the lady cop will want to help us get her ex-partner. Oh but wait she doesn’t remember. What to do? Hm”

“Well I can heal her brain and let her remember then we can ask her. But she might be on life support or something. He did say she almost died”

“Can we see her now then?”

“Of course let’s go. After I put this head away”

“Yeah eww I can’t believe how much blood came up from his shoulders. That made my scream more real was the sight of his body. Eww”
Yami chuckled and in a snap was gone leaving Yugi in wonder then he returned in a poof making Yugi screech in surprise and almost fall on his butt before he caught himself so he only stumbled

“GOD NEXT TIME WARN ME WOULD YA!”
Yami yelped and covered his ears then retorted

“Ahh same to you that hurt the ears”
Yugi laughed at him and nodded then asked

“Well. Can we get going then?”
Yami nodded and held Yugi’s hand then there were some weird colors around them and when the color left he saw that they were at the hospital. He looked at Yami, who shrugged

“I can transport any where I want to”

“Oh ok then. Let’s go find her”
They walked into the hospital Yugi started walking to the receptionist but Yami stopped him. He looked curiously at Yami who answered

“No need to ask I can smell her. This way”
Yami pointed to the left and began to walk with Yugi tailing beside him. They came room 108 but Yugi still insisted on knocking with no answer they quietly went inside. There she was lying on the bed very pale looking, Yugi carefully went over to the bed and took her hand gently. Then she woke up and saw Yugi standing at her bed holding her hand and had unshed tears, which Yami could smell but left it alone for now. He just stood against the wall watching them she whispered

“hello little one, who are you?”
He chocked out

“Yugi mouto”

“oh you’re the boy we were supposed to see. Because of the night you went missing for a bit”

“um you did see me after you left I ran off and oh never mind”
He turned his head so they wouldn’t see the tears falling he felt so guilty. Fortunately Yami came in to speak

“long story short your partner saw him in a park and threatened him I got him by the throat you said to leave and you would make sure he had his badge taken but looks like they got you first. Hush Yugi it will be ok”

“but if I hadn’t have ran off this wouldn’t have happened! It’s my fault!”
He cried into Yami who rubbed his shoulders. The lady looked very confused and disbelieving so Yami said

“if you trust me I can heal your brain. So you can remember”
She nodded at him without a second thought Yami sat Yugi in the chair beside the bed and put his right hand on her head. Then a glow started coming from his hand the lady felt very warm not enough to be uncomfortable. After a minute Yami took back his hand the lady looked immediately at Yugi

“oh Yugi it’s not your fault. This would have happened no matter if you came along or not he would have threatened another. And by the way my names Ann”
Yugi smiled a little at her and said

“Ann… that’s a pretty name”
She giggled and said

“thank you Yugi. Now I have to figure out what to do. A lot of the police there are corrupt and if I even hint that I remember they’ll come finish me off. My body is too weak for me to even put up a fight. Hmm?”

“I’m not one to usually suggest this. But since you helped Yugi who is my mate now. Well I could turn you into one of my kind if you want too that is”
She seemed thoughtful for a moment then replied

“so you’re the one who took him that night. I hope you didn’t hurt him”

“ok off the subject but no I didn’t I have only marked him to protect him from the ones that wouldn’t take no for an answer and his powers are coming out now”
Yugi was in the chair blushing he still didn’t like this kind of talk so he shook his head. Both laughed at him and Yami said

“ok I’ll stop talking about it now. Well Ann I will give you some time to think and we will watch you till you can decide”
Yugi piped up

“oh Ann I’m sorry to tell you this but we are going to kill your ex-partner we have taken the principle of my school life cause he was in league with him. Your ex-partner was going to let him do anything to me before he handed me over then the bad cop was going to have his fun with me then kill me”
She looked mad and thoughtful again she then turned to Yami

“well I don’t have much and now that I know Keith was going to do that. I’ve made my mind up. I would like to be turned”
Yami looked right in the eyes

“are you sure? That was a quick decision”

“yes and I want my revenge on Keith so that makes me more sure”
Yami nodded then turned to Yugi

“ok Yugi I need you to watch the door for me please”
He looked nervous then nodded and left out the door to close it again. Yami looked over to Ann, who was shaking a bit. He casually walked over to her left side

“ok then let’s get more comfortable and if you have any questions or doubts say them now”
Yami was waiting for Ann’s questions he knew were there then she did ask

“well umm will it hurt? and will I be able to be out in the sun like you or is that just a myth?”
He genuinely smiled at her and answered

“no it doesn’t have to hurt I can numb the spot and yes it’s only the kings that can’t go out in the sun but with Yugi’s blood I can”
Ann nodded at him in confirmation and he returned it he gently braced her shoulders and lifted her into a sitting position with him behind her, he leaned her against him and touched the spot he was going to bite. Again a glow came from his hand he poked it and asked

“ok did you feel that?”
She shook her head as best as she could then he asked

“then are you ready”

“yes”
He quickly bit her neck and started to drink her blood also recite an incantation that would help turn her into a vampire. Soon it was done and he laid her back down she was very tired but she looked him in question

“you will need to rest for a few hours. When you feel energized come find me. Here is where you can find me we will wait till your ready to get Keith”
She nodded and closed her eyes but not before she said

“oh my a bit of blood on my bed”
He chuckled then waved while walking out. Yugi looked up at him he went a little pale which made him raise an eyebrow Yugi pretended to wipe his face, telling Yami had blood on his face that needed to be cleaned before going anywhere. Finally he understood and wiped his mouth then grinned at Yugi but he just grimaced making Yami frown and put a hand to his shoulder telling him to start walking. Yugi looked at the floor the entire way out of the hospital. Finally Yami spoke breaking Yugi out of his trance

“Yugi she is ok she just needs to rest for a few hours. She wants to help us with Keith so we’ll wait till later. For now lets get you home”
Yugi nodded and waited for anything when Yami picked him up and suddenly jumped sky high he was scared but then he got used to it so he relaxed. Yami came to the corner of his shop and put him down, still Yugi looked at the ground he sighed and asked

“Yugi what’s wrong?”

“hmm what? oh um nothing”
Yami crossed his arms and frowned at him Yugi looked defeated then watched the shop while saying

“I guess the killing some one and Ann getting hurt. Now still going to kill one more has finally caught up with me”
Yami leaned down and looked him in the eye

“Yugi would you like to forget all this then?”
He thought about it for a moment and answered

“yeah I would like to forget about it but I want to remember Ann and that she’s turned now”
Yami chuckled then put his right hand to Yugi’s head once again a glow came and then was gone. Yugi looked around for a minute then to Yami he blink at him Yami spoke

“go home for tonight Yugi I’ll see you after I am done with something”
Slowly he nodded and began to walk away but quickly turned around and hugged Yami, who was a little stunned but returned the hug and let go as Yugi pulled away he asked

“what was that for Yugi”
Yugi shrugged

“I’m not sure but I felt like I should”

“thank you now run along and have a fun night with your grandpa”
He smiled brightly then trotted to his home then inside. Then Yami walked off to his home.
Inside the shop.

“hi grandpa how’s it going”
Yugi beamed his grandpa looked at him in shocked then like he was crazy

“why the face grandpa?”

“Yugi why did the principle want to see you today?”
He had to think for a minute somehow he remember the incident and Yami’s vice saying he was there and after he got away from the principle Yami was going to get him Yugi answered with

“I don’t want to talk about it. And how did you know?”

“because he phoned me before he called you down. But wouldn’t tell me why. What happened?”
Even though he couldn’t remember after Yami saying he was going to deal with him and the bad cop Yugi smirked evilly at his grandpa

“bad principle went bye-bye that’s what happened just like bad cop will”

“what are you talking about young man?”
Yugi put tears in his eyes and looked at him

“he threatened me in the worse way possible he was going to do it right at school before he handed me to the bad cop who was gonna do the same then kill me. He was even going to go after her when I was dead and she can’t even defend herself. But I had a protector that stopped the principle before he did anything and got rid of him for me just like he will bad cop with help from Ann”
His grandpa looked totally pale then slowly walked to him and put his hands on his shoulders he looked him up and down and quietly asked

“so your ok then, they didn’t get to hurt you. And who is Ann?”
Yugi smiled slightly at his grandpa and answered

“no they didn’t get to hurt me and Ann is the lady cop from the other morning she’s in the hospital because of her bad cop ex-partner but she is going to get him then the rest of the bad cops”
Solomon looked relieved and smiled at him then he went to the shop door and put it to close he turned back to see Yugi looking at him in question

“ok how bout we go to a movie or perhaps dinner. Would you like that”
Yugi whole face lit up in a smile and nodded vigorously which made Solomon laugh

“alright then just let me grab my wallet”
When he came back into the shop Yugi was bouncing in excitement and looked like he couldn’t wait to get going this made Solomon laugh more at him. Once outside Solomon brought his jacket closer to himself

“burr I think I’m becoming a wyous in my old age”
Yugi full out laughed at his grandpa making him say sarcastically

“I’m glad I can amuse you with me becoming a popsicle”
He made a pouting face and turned his head from Yugi which only made Yugi laugh harder Solomon looked at him from the corner of his eye then slowly turned back to him and burst out laughing also. They laughed as they walked causing everyone on the street and in cars to look at them after they stopped laughing due to having no air in their lungs Solomon asked

“ok where to first dinner or movie?”
Yugi put a finger to his chin and tapped it in thought but his stomach made up his mind by putting in a growling making him blush and his grandpa laugh then he remembered he hadn’t eaten lunch after Solomon was done laughing he said

“I guess your stomach says dinner. So where would you like to eat?”
Looking around on the block they were at Yugi spotted a pizza place and pointed to it Solomon teased

“are you trying to give me an early heart attack with that junk”
Yugi thought he wasn’t joking and put his head in shame so Solomon had to say

“Yugi lighten up I was joking. Yes we can eat there its been a while since we’ve had pizza anyway”
He looked up at his grandpa and rubbed the back of neck while giggling. So they walked across the street and inside the pizza place they order a hawiin pizza which came fairly quick. After they were done eating they went back outside as they walked Solomon asked

“so movie or something else? Ah Yugi your bleeding!”

“where?”

“there on your neck!”
Yugi put a hand to his mark and brought it back there on his hand was fresh blood

“danger”
He whispered for only them to hear

“what?”
His grandpa gasped in shock he didn’t explain he grabbed Solomon’s wrist and started pulling but his grandpa wouldn’t budge

“grandpa please we have to get out of here”
Just as Solomon was starting to move he screamed when Yugi turned his head to see what freaked Solomon out he was hit in the jaw causing him to fall on his side in his mind he was shouting

“YAMI! IF YOU CAN HEAR ME! WE NEED HELP! I GOT HIT IN THE JAW!”
On the other side of town Yami stopped in his tracks Ann had found him and they started hunting for Keith Ann asked

“what’s wrong Yami?”
He didn’t answer and had his eyes closed then opened them he screamed

“YUGI!”
Then grabbed Ann’s arm and teleported to an alley close Yugi and saw him on the ground yelling for his grandpa and in his head for Yami. Ann had lost her balance from the sudden teleport but then she saw Yugi. Both Yami and Ann were growling when they came out of the alley making everyone stop and look at them Ann ground out

“two of Keith’s lackies I should have known”
She lundged at the one closest to her which was by Yugi’s grandpa slicing his head almost clean off she looked at the man for a moment, who was pale and in shock luckily he only had only got a kick to his stomach. Meanwhile Yami went after the that had attacked Yugi but he decided that one needed to send a message back to Keith

“tell your boss he is next like your friend there then it will be you for hurting Yugi”
Yami spat and drop kicked the man. After the man had run away Yami turned to Yugi and kneeled down to look at his face he healed Yugi and asked

“are you ok Yugi”
He nodded slowly and said one word

“grandpa?”
Yugi tried to get up but couldn’t so Yami picked him up and walked over to Ann and Solomon who looked very confused but when he saw Yami holding his grandson he went into defense mode

“put my grandson down who ever you are”
Yami quirked an eyebrow and Yugi giggled

“it’s alright grandpa he’s my protector. Now another thing. Are you ok grandpa?”

“I think so he only kick me in the stomach. What about you?”
Instead of answering he asked

“Yami can you heal grandpa to? Please”
Yami nodded and gently put him down then walked over to Solomon who scooted away he chuckled a little while Yugi said

“grandpa he heals let him make you better like he did me. See look no mark and no pain”
He pointed to where he got hit showing that nothing was there Solomon blinked at his jaw then Yami asked

“where in the stomach did they kick you?”
Solomon pointed to the area of where the ribs join Yami nodded and put his hand there carefully so not to cause more pain and healed it after that Solomon said

“that felt strange but it doesn’t hurt any more. Yugi I think we should get home”
Yugi nodded and help his grandpa up then Yami said

“just a second”
Everyone looked at him, in his mind he called Bakura and Marik then in a poof that scared everyone but him then he continued

“ok you two watch Yugi’s house for any sign of danger while Ann and I go hunt for Keith”
Bakura looked at Yugi who hid behind his grandpa

“Bakura stop scareing Yugi you did that enough when you took his blood”

“WHAT!”
Solomon screamed making them cover their hurting ears, Yugi groaned

“way to go Yami this was not hiw I wanted him to find out”
Yami chuckled

“sorry little one”
Yugi interrupted
“just go get Keith and the other ones so we can go out without being attacked”
Marik laughed

“sorry but when your with the king your always be in danger”
For that comment he got hit upside the head from Bakura, and evilly glared at by Yami now Yugi was in a bad mood

“can we just get going now I’d like to get home in the next decade”
Solomon added

“then you can explain to me what’s going on”
Yugi slapped his face and dragged his hand down

“grrrreat. This is going to be a fun night”
He expounded making Yami and Ann laugh he glared at them and stuck his tounge out childishly causing the to laugh harder he just walked away with his grandpa close behind he looked over his shoulder seeing Bakura and Marik still standing there so he yelled

“hey freak boys get moving I want to get home some time tonight”
Bakura looked to Yami

“mood change much”
Yami chuckled

“that’s nothing he can act very crazy it even gives me the willies”
Bakura smirked and took off with Marik in two jumps they were behind a very startled grandpa. When they got home Bakura stood in front of the game shop door and Marik at the back door to Yugi’s home as soon as they were seated Solomon said

“so are you going to tell me about all this”
Yugi meantally groaned

/oh yes a very fun night indeed/
And began telling his grandpa everything he remembered

On the bad side of the city where Ann knew Keith hung out Yami chuckled so lightly that Ann almost didn’t hear it even with her 100 times better hearing and looked at Yami like he was crazy for laughing to himself he said

“sorry I can hear Yugi’s thoughts he is very funny in his head I really must tell him I can hear what he’s thinking”

“gee you think”
Ann replied sarcastically Yami added

“oh I forgot about the principles head we were going to use it as bait because Keith brought him in on hurting Yugi and a friend of his that can’t defend herself. Do you still want to use it?”
Ann smirked just as evilly as Yugi had when he came up with the plan and answered

“yes we should still use it and maybe a change in wardrobe for me to fit along with the severed head and I got just the place”
She began to walk off to her destination when Yami said

“first let me tell you how to teleport there it’s much faster. All you have too do is think of the place and what it looks like then in your head say teleport. Ok? Then I’ll meet you back here in 10 or 15 minutes”
She nodded then did as she was instructed and teleported to the shop she had chose, Yami had teleported right after her it only took him a minute to return with the head so he waited for Ann now
Back at Yugi’s he had just finished telling his grandpa everything from Bakura taking his blood to now he had to admit Solomon was taking it easy but was pale he wanted his grandpa to say something so asked

“grandpa please say something your creeping me out staring like that”
Solomon shook his head to clear it then answered

“there’s nothing much to say I just hope you’ll be alright”
Yugi sighed

“ok then well let’s go to bed”
Once he was in his room he said mentally

/I hope I’ll be alright I mean he says he won’t force me but he almost did when we meet and I don’t know him that well to know if he’ll keep what he says plus look at all that’s been happening I don’t want grandpa a target too oh I am really hating my life right now/
He laid right down instead of doing his bedtime rutine.

It had nearly been ten minutes that Yami had been waiting but then he heard Yugi’s thoughts and felt really bad he began thinking that maybe he should show Yugi what he was like that way it’ll be like he’d known Yami all his life. Suddenly Ann teleported back and stood beside him waiting for him to look up at her. When Yami looked up to agknowledge her his jaw dropped. She was in tight blood red leather pants and her shirt was bearly even that, it was like a piece of leather the height of her boobs and a space about a palm width between her boobs that was held in place by thin lace it was black with tints of blood red at the bottom like flames. She smirked wickedly and said

“see I said I knew just the place to fit with the head. And what had you looking like that before I got here?”
Once he closed his mouth he let out a sigh

“it was Yugi what he said in his thoughts makes me feel real bad I did this to him plus he said he was really hating his life now and that makes it worse”

“but didn’t you do this so you could protect him?”
He scuffed

“right protect look at how well I’ve been doing that, sure I can heal him but he remembers and he doesn’t want his grandpa a target. He doesn’t even know if I’ll keep what I said of not forcing him because when we meet I did try to force him and turn him. What I was thinking of when you came was maybe if he‘ll let me I‘ll show him my memories so it would be like he had known me his whole life and that I keep my word”
Ann put a hand on his shoulder and smiled sincerely

“I think that would be a good idea and once we get rid of Keith you can be around him always”
He nodded and stood up then began sniffing the air Ann followed his example and caught keith’s scent she growled lightly causing Yami to look at her from the corner of his eye he thought

*only been a vamperess for 4 hours and she’s already gotten the hang of it but I can’t forget she has her own reasons to get Keith*
He lifted his hand to get her attention when he did motioned ‘let’s go’ and they did they hopped onto the roofs and began jumping across them finally when he spotted Keith he spoke in her head

*ok I’ll draw him away from the crowd then we can freak him out before we make our move. Sound good?*
She nodded so he jumped from the roof to the alley below then walked across the street into another one closest to Keith and found his Mind then he chanted

*Keith.. Keith.. Come find us at the park we have a gift for you*
Keith looked around causing the people to look at him, he turned to one that Yami assumed was his friend and asked him if he heard anyone say his name but the man shook his head, Yami tried again

*Keith… Keith.. Don’t you want your gift, it’s at the park*
He just grunted making everyone back away from him then Yami got an idea

*Kieth one of your goons are dead the other will be running to you or away and your principle friend.. Well he’s the gift come get him*
Keith let out

“WHAT THE HELL! WHO’S THERE?!”

*come find out we’ll be waiting in the park*

“FINE! I WILL!”
Then stalked off down the road, Yami didn’t bother to watch the peoples reaction to Keith’s outburst he had to get to the park. He didn’t have to call Ann she was just ahead of him jumping on the roofs. Two jumps later and they came to the park clearing Yami talked in her mind

*ok let’s wait in the shadows of the trees then when he comes you can stalk out of the shadows like I did… oh by the way you can pick your eye color while we’re waiting, just picture the color in your head then open your eyes*
She nodded and closed her eyes while they were closed a light could be seen behind the lids. When she opened them they were an ice-blue, he smirked and gave a thumbs-up which she returned. Minutes later Keith could be seen at the entrance to the park she looked to Yami who shook his head, after a minute Keith was closer and Yami nodded at Ann. She grabbed the principle’s head and stepped into the light Keith was looking around and saw her he screamed

“ANN! WHAT? YOUR SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE HOSPITAL! YOU WERE CLOSE TO DEATH! HOW CAN YOU BE OUT HERE? AND WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?!”
First sh threw the head at him, it landed a foot away then rolled till it stopped at Keith’s feet he looked down and once it sunk in that it was a severed head he blew his supper she laughed at him

“it turns out that the one protecting Yugi is a vampire and once he healed my memory he gave me the choice of turning. So I did and now we’re going to get you then I’m going after the rest of the crocked cops that put me in that bed. Plus it was him that killed bad Mr.prinicple here do you like his gift. Your fate will be much more painful then his was”
Keith was totally white, he started backing away from Ann with a draft of wind Yami was behind him stopping his retreat but he didn’t know that so ran into Yami’s chest with an uff. Looking behind him Keith screamed when seeing it was Yami started to run and like the principle Yami paralysed him both standing over a immobile Keith Ann turned to Yami

“perhaps we should bring him to your place. That way people wouldn’t be able to hear his screams as much or at all”
Smiling a fanged mouth at her then Keith, Yami nodded and grabbed Keith’s wrist and gently took Ann hand then he teleported them to a room in his house. Where Keith’s punishment would begin.
