The Fall
Just so you know, this might be a bit different writing style from before, because it's been about 3 years between that and this.

They often went on dates together, just simple places enough that people would recognize that the were “going out” together. Nobody was more annoyed that Honda who didn’t understand why Kaiba had been chosen over him.
Kaiba, although usually emotionless, had begun laughing around Jou. And Jou became more relaxed about being around someone. Both secretly liking the other, but not knowing whether it was worth telling each other.
One night while they were studying the two began being very physically close. Jou was confused on something from their math class, and Kaiba was working to explain it too him. Jou looked up as Kaiba looked at him, words ceased as they continued to stare at each other. They moved their heads close, and their lips closer, but before they could touch Jou jerked away and excused himself to the restroom.
Jou splashed his face with water, so unsure of himself after that moment. He stayed in the restroom, longer than he’d planned, and it got him noticed by Kaiba. It was obvious to Jou when he got back that Kaiba was angry.
Kaiba sat there with his arms crossed and his eyes shuffling around the room. ”Kaiba…” Jou questioned tentatively, “I still need help with the problem” He finished in hopes of distracting the other. It worked, or so it seemed as they both went back to studying, but it was obvious that the homework wasn’t what was on Kaiba’s mind.
“Why’d you pull away,” Kaiba asked bluntly after having finished explaining the problem.
“Ummm…well I mean, it’s not like we’re really in a relationship,” Jou mumbled out pretending to do the problem.
“Yeah, but sooner or later if we don’t kiss, what will people think,” Kaiba said, words spilling from his mouth unlike ever before.
“I…umm, I guess I really didn’t think that part through.” Jou said sadly as he gave up on pretending with his homework, “Well I mean…isn’t it not really appropriate to kiss in public?” Jou said, stubling over his words.
“We’re in High School, regardless of what’s appropriate, it’ll be wanted as proof eventually,”
“Yeah,” Jou murmured as he began putting away his stuff, “I need to get home…we can talk more about this later…” Jou finished as he picked up his bag and headed to the door.
“Hey,” Kaiba grabbed Jou’s arm inches from the front door, “Someone can take you home.”
“Nah, I’ll be fine.” Jou said, giving a classic grin to Kaiba, “Besides, I like the fresh air.”
“Okay,” Kaiba said skeptically, “Be careful, I’ll see you in the morning,” He stared calculating as Jou walked away from the mansion. As soon as he couldn’t see his figure anymore, Kaiba shut the door.

I just wanted to say thank you to Ibelen for your review, although I can't promise much of what you talked about in you review for this one, although I will work harder on it in the future. I wanted to put in another chapter before this one to get in some of what you were saying, but it just wouldn't happen...It also made me realize how I tend to focus on Seto's silent side more than on his witty remark side.
This is a really short story that is probably fairly OOC, but I hope it's cute/random enough that you can forgive me that ;P
