Field Trip
Disclaimer: Characters of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX do not belong to me. If they did…well, let’s just say this would be a preview of how the show would really go! ;)
Title: More than Words
Pairing: (main) Kaiser/Ryo (Zane) and Judai (Jaden) (appearances by: Kaiba/Jou)
Other Characters: Sho (Syrus), Hayato (Chumley), Asuka (Alexis), Manjyome (Chazz), Cronos-sensei (Dr. Crowler), Misawa (Bastion), and some characters from the original series
Warnings: Yaoi, somewhat of an Alternate Universe
Setting: Duel Academy (main) and various places in Domino City
Misc: This is my very first fic involving GX characters. So bear with me and wish me well!
Chapter 4: Field Trip
It’s another boring day in Cronos-sensei’s Advanced Duel Tactics class. I think he’s talking about counter spells…or something like that. Heh, he should have used one when Yuki defeated him.
“Attention class! The annual school field trip is coming up!” announces Cronos-sensei.
Oh great, another boring trip to a card store. Why do we even go there when Kaiba-sama sends the best cards here?
“This year’s trip is special. We are going to Domino City.”
Domino City? Domino City, Japan?! The home of the best duelists, including the King of Games!
“Graduating seniors get first dibs on seats. After that, it’s first come, first serve.”
That’s good. I do have a guaranteed seat. I wonder will Judai and Sho be able to go. I hope so. Or, I can always pull some strings.
After class I go straight to the Duel Arena where registration is. Of course there are a hoard of students lined up, hoping to get a seat.
I wait in the stands as the line seems to get longer and longer.
“Kaiser! What are you doing up there?!”
I look at ground level and see Asuka and Manjyome.
Asuka ascends the steps and stands next to me.
“What are you doing up here instead of in line?” she asks.
“I didn’t want to wait in that long line. I can wait until it dies down.”
“By then, there may not be any seats available.”
“Cronos-sensei said that graduating seniors get first dibs on seats. So, even if I’m the last one to sign up, I still have a seat.”
“Ohh, I see. If he said that, I’m pretty sure that all Obelisks have seats also.”
“I wouldn’t take that risk, Asuka.”
“You spoil-sport.” She says as she gets up and gets in line.
I continue to watch as students fill out the registration form.
“Yuki…” I find myself mutter as I watch him, Sho, and Hayato walk in and get in line.
“Aniki! We may be too late!” Sho says to him.
“Nah, don’t worry about it Sho. I bet this is like a gambling game where only certain numbers are chosen to go.” Yuki replies.
“What do you mean?” asks Hayato.
“For instance, they may have already pre-chosen who will go to Domino City and everyone else is wasting their time registering. Or every certain number student who registers gets to go.”
“There are only 100 seats and 25 are already reserved for the graduating Obelisks. There are only 75 seats available to a student body of well over 200.” Whines Sho.
“Sho, any chance is better than none.” Judai says as he reaches the front of the line and begins to fill out the form.
After the three of them leave, the crowd quickly dies down. I go and register and leave for my room.
…..Next day….
Another night filled with sweet dreams of Yuki and me. I wish he would just accept his feelings for me. I love him with all of my heart.
*knock knock*
I hop out of bed and as I walk to the door, I grab my robe from the desk chair and put it on, making sure to tie it around my naked body.
*knock knock*
I open the door and the guy hands me an envelope.
“Who is this from?” I ask noticing there’s no return address.
“It’s from the school. I have a few more of these to deliver Kaiser-san.”
“Ok…” I say shutting the door and locking it.
I sit on the bed and open the long envelope. I dump the contents next to me and pick up the letter with the official school stationery imprinted on it.
‘Marufuji Ryo,
This letter is to inform you of the field trip to Domino City. You will be staying 7
days and 7 nights at Kaiba Hotel. All expenses are paid, courtesy of Kaiba Corporation.
The only money you will need is for souvenirs. Included in this trip will be a tour of
Domino City, KaibaCorp, and a few surprise locations. Included in this envelope is a
tentative schedule of the week and a brochure of Domino City.
We will depart Duel Academy Island two days from now at 8am from the pier.

I set the letter aside and pick up the schedule, looking at it. I notice that ‘Surprise Activity’ appears a few times throughout the week. I then look at the brochure and look at the pictures. Kaiba Hotel…Kaiba Land…Domino Museum…Domino Pier…Kaiba Corporation…Kame Game Shop? I wonder why this is on…wait, that’s where Yugi-sama stays!
I wonder if one of the surprise activities is a trip to Kame Game Shop. I wonder if Yugi-sama will be there.
Leaving the contents on the bed, I go into my private bath and turn the shower on. On the way back into my room, I hear screaming. As I glance through the blinds, I see Yuki with a piece of paper in his hand, running towards the Ra Yellow dorms. So, I guess he’s going too.
“This trip may not be so bad after all.”
I grab a towel and go back into the bathroom and shower then put my uniform on.
I wonder did Sho get a letter also.
*Knock knock*
I open the door to see Asuka on the opposite side, holding her letter.
“I see you got one also.” I say as she walks past me and sits on my bed.
“Yea. I’m excited. Judai, Sho, Misawa, Hayato, and Manjyome got one also.”
“Oh.” I say sarcastically. The only one I’m glad that has a letter is Yuki.
“It’s just what you always wanted; a week full of lower-classmen.” She replies sarcastically.
“They don’t bother me Asuka.”
She picks up the copy of my brochure.
“Did you see that we are going to go by Kame Game Shop! Maybe we can meet the King of Games himself!! Or maybe Jounouchi-sama! He’s so cute! I bet he would fall madly in love with me at first sight!”
Oh if she only knew what I know, that would be the last thing to come out of her mouth.
“From what I heard, Jounouchi-sama is in the KC Pro-League. He may not have time to settle down. Besides, if the rumors from Battle City are true, then his love interest is Kujaku Mai-san.”
“She has no chance against me!”
And neither do you Asuka…
“Come on Asuka. Let’s go to breakfast.”
She looks at me and smiles as we get up and leave the room. We go to the 5th floor kitchen and get something to eat. I wish that I could bring Yuki here to eat with me. Unfortunately, he has to settle for that slop they serve at Osiris.
“Your mind seems pre-occupied Kaiser.”
“I’m ok.” I say after a sip of orange juice. “I’m just thinking about the field trip.”
“Yea, what about it?”
“Nothing. I was just thinking about Kame Game Shop. After the KC Grand Prix, Yugi-sama has literally disappeared from the public eye. I mean, could he still be there with his jii-chan? Or in college? Or maybe he could be in a Pro-League.”
“Pro-League, Kaiser? I highly doubt that.”
“Yea, you’re right.”
We finish eating and go to class.
(Two days later, Duel Academy Pier, 7:50am)
It’s about that time that we leave to go back to the mainland. Duel Academy Island is an island about a hundred miles off the coast of eastern Japan. It was bought by Seto Kaiba-sama and turned into what we have here today.
“Has anyone seen Judai Yuki!!!” yells Cronos-sama into the bullhorn. “For all I care, we can leave the Dropout-boy right here! Who even approved of him going?! I know I didn’t!”
He walks past me, still yelling about Yuki, as I continue to look off the side of the luxury liner towards Osiris Red.
Hurry up, Yuki.
“What are you staring at Kaiser?”
Asuka’s voice startles me a bit; as I’m interrupted from the daydream I’m in.
“I’m just looking.”
“There’s a better view on the other side. You can see the ocean.”
“I’m fine right here Asuka.”
“You see this island everyday Kaiser. What’s so special about it now?”
‘Wait for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!’ I hear a voice yelling from the direction I’m looking in.
Yuki…
He runs up the ramp onto the ship.
“It’s about time you got here!” scolds Cronos-sensei. “If it wasn’t for a higher power, I would have left you.”
“Sorry Cronos-sensei. I had to finish packing.”
“Cronos-sensei, it is 8:01.” The captain says to him.
“Yes, we can leave now.” He says.
The captain leaves and a slight pull is felt as the ship departs from Duel Academy Island. Hopefully Yuki, it is at Domino City, where we will become more than friends.

Ok, don’t shoot me yet. The good stuff is coming. We just have to get to Domino first!!! I think there’s going to be some sour stuff in the next chapter, so stay tuned for that! Don’t forget to review. They are well appreciated!
