CHAPTER 4

Soon the game shop was in sight Yami could sense Yugi’s nervousness and apprehension but every time Yugi would stop he would push him on. Finally the front door was in sight and Yami went into the shadows then telling Yugi to go in. He took a big breath and walked inside and up the stairs

“YUGI! WHY DID YOU TAKE OFF LIKE THAT? AND WHERE DID YOU GO! NO ONE SAW YOU!”

“nowhere in particular just a couple parks. I had too go to another one. That stupid guy cop from earlier”

“why did you have to after the cop”

“oh I almost got to see him get killed but his partner stopped it from happening then she told me to leave but I went to another park instead of coming back here”
He said in a matter-fact way and almost seemed regretful of not being able to see it his grandpa looked shocked beyond life and went pale he was trying to talk but couldn’t. Some how Yugi knew his question so answered

“oh you want to know why. Huh? Well he threatened to shoot me with a stun gun and some one came out of the shadows to help me. He said it was my choice what happened to the man but that lady interrupted my thinking”
And nodded his head with a crazy smile on his face that gave his grandpa the willies he didn’t know if Yugi was possessed or some deep down evil came to the surface and frankly he was scared of him. Yugi saw the look he was giving him so he gave up the act in case he gave him a heart attack with a silly wave of his hand he said

“haha don’t mind me grandpa. I’m not possessed and no deep down evil is coming out. Yet. Good night grandpa I’m gonna turn in early”
He skipped away leaving his grandpa to flop onto the sofa wondering how Yugi knew what he was thinking Yami was outside watching the whole thing he chuckled softly thinking about how crazy Yugi could act when he wanted to and if he realized he read his grandpa’s mind he might have to start training him sooner then he had first thought.
The next day was school for Yugi and Yami secretly followed unknown to everyone except Yugi but he soon forgot about Yami and went on to have fun until

“Yugi Mouto. Please go to the principle‘s office. Yugi Mouto”
Everyone in the cafeteria looked at him and it made him annoyed. So he quickly stood up and walked away ignoring the stares. He then went to the principle’s office and knocked on it, he heard a come in and slowly opened the door to peek his head through

“ah Yugi Mouto please have a seat”
The man motioned to a chair in front of a desk, which he took immediately and waited for the principle to speak

“its come to my attention that you are in trouble with the police. Am I correct?”
Yugi shook his head and replied

“no it’s not. I am not in trouble with them. My grandpa had called them because I went missing mysteriously all he found was the groceries. The rest is none of your concern. I was found back safe at my step”

“I am not talking about that. I am talking about you almost killing a policeman”
Yugi paled and stood up to leave turning towards him

“I did not almost kill a police officer. He had threatened me because I would not answer him. I can’t help that a man came out and had him by the throat and that it was my choice what too do to him I only made him think I would say to kill him. It’s none of your business, besides his partner was going to make sure his badge was taken for threatening me”
Yugi heard him chuckle dryly and respond

“his partner has meet with her almost end and is in the hospital. With no memory of what happened”
He looked a little over his shoulder at him but the principle quickly covered his mouth and pinned him to the wall. Looking up he saw the man grinning evilly and lean close to his ear

“letting you know I’m that mans friend. He says I can do anything I want to you before I deliver you to him so he can have some fun with you, then kill you”
Yugi’s eyes went wide and he tried to get out of the man grip but to no avail. The mans body was near inches from his own then he heard

“hm I think that when your gone I’ll go after your special needs friend that will be fun. But now it’s you I have so let the fun begin”
He started moving his hand to Yugi’s stomach, all he could do was say in his mind

/god someone get this guy off me please anyone/
No soon had he thought that, that he heard a response

*no worries little one. I’m here for you*
Suddenly the man moved away and Yugi didn’t risk the chance of that happening again so he ran out of the office with tears in his eyes. He noticed when a hand went on his shoulder he punched at the person and took off in a full run he only vaguely heard his name being called and stamping of feet after him, he heard one yell

“guys stop! he’ll just keep running!”
Then there were no sounds around him and he slowed down to walking pace. Suddenly he felt arms around his waist, his first reaction was to scream then he started kicking and punching with all his might, in his mind he heard something but didn’t acknowledge it then he heard out loud

“little one! Calm down! It’s just me Yami”
He stopped when he heard the name and slowly looked up to lock eyes with crimson then tears again came to his eyes and he tightly hugged Yami, who started rubbing his shoulders then he heard familiar voices scream

“YUGI!”

“GET AWAY FROM HIM CREEP!”
They both were sideways on the sidewalk so the people approaching saw both their faces and half of their bodies, then a fist swung at Yami’s head but he jumped out off the way still holding Yugi, who looked down and saw the faces of his friends, then heard a growling and looked up to see Yami baring his fangs at them as well as his growling all his friends gasped and took unconscious steps back but Joey picked up a rock and threw it at Yami’s head again saying

“LET HIM GO! YOU FREAK THING YOU!”
Yugi answered for Yami yelling down to his friends

“I WOULDN’T DO THAT JOEY! HE’S ONLY PROTECTING ME! Yami these are my friends and are fine once they know that I’m ok. Come on let’s go down please”
Yami nodded and in one jump was on the ground and had sent Joey onto his butt in shock Yami had Yugi held to his torso Yugi giggled at their identical faces and asked

“hey Jo you ok?”
Joey only nodded his head then asked back

“yeah I’m ok. But are you? What was that office stuff about? And you coming out crying. Then we see this guy come out of nowhere and you freak?”
Yugi looked down to the pavement and bit his trembling lip, in a shaky voice he answered

“well he found out about an incident with a cop that threatened to shoot me with a stun gun his partner had cuffed him to a swing set that’s the last I heard from them. Now I find out that she is almost dead and can’t remember about what happened. The principle is the guy’s friend he said he could do anything to me before he handed me over to the bad cop who was gonna have fun with me then kill me. Oh I feel so bad about the lady, Yami can we see her”

“yes we can. But at the moment we have or I should deal with the two men threatening my little chosen one. Or would you like to pick how they will die”
After blushing Yugi gave a crazy smile and looked to his friends who all took a step away from him

“no I’ll help. First let’s get the closest one. The one who threatened to go after my special needs friend after I was dead. Then we’ll use his head as a bait to the bad cop, k.”
His replies were gasps and a dark chuckle

“he threatened her? Yug”
He nodded his head at Joey

“very well little one I like your thinking. But how will we get that principle man?”

“simple he wants me. So I’ll be the bait to get him out of the school or to an abandoned room and you can finish him off”
He sighed and looked over to his friends because he unknowingly read their mind and answered all the questions going through their minds

“no I’m not possessed and I’m not evil. They just messed with my friends and I. Now they will pay… I’m doing a good job of bring crazy right… Tristan. Why are you all looking at me like that? QUIT IT! NOW”
Tea came forward a bit from the group

“um Yugi how did you know that? we didn’t talk out loud”
He paled and almost forgot how to breathe until
“relax little one. It’s another of your powers coming to life. I must really start training you”
He did relax a little then he suddenly left Yami’s embrace and started away towards the school, he had a mission and he intended to fulfill it.
