Chapter 2: Kiss and Tell

"I'm in Obelisk Blue Sy! which dorm are you in?"
"Obelisk Blue! Oh my! Guess who I'm rooming with?"
"Who?" At that time, Syrus failed to notice Jaden approaching as he yelled out...
"JADEN!!!"
*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* AND NOW... *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
"You called?" Jaden answered with a sudden interest in Syrus' outburst.
"Ummm, well I was just surprised that ummm... you see, well... it's like this, well-"
"What he's trying to say is that he's rooming with you."
"Yeah! What he said!" Syrus confirmed while his head nodded up and down. "So who are you rooming with Hassleberry?" Syrus asked quickly to try and change the subject and redirect the line of questioning.
"Ummm, I think it says something Princeton, so who's this Princeton?"
"Well, that's Chazz, but he likes to room alone so you'll probably end up in it alone," explains Jaden.
"What? Why do you get a singles, I want one too!" exclaimed Syrus in a whining attempt to change the inevitable.
"Are you saying that you don't want to room with me Sy?" Jaden asked with a mock pouting face.
"NO! It's not that! It's just that-"
"I'm just kidding! Don't think about it so hard, besides I gotta show you around our dorm then, you too Hassleberry, so let's get moving!" Jaden proclaimed in an excited voice that would have sent warning vibes to anyone who actually knew Jaden and his incredible energy and stamina, but the two merely shrugged it off as Jaden being Jaden. "Let's go!"
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*At the Obelisk Dorm*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
For the past 3 and a half hours, Jaden has been dragging Syrus and Hassleberry to every part of the Obelisk dorm from their cafeteria, laundry rooms, and every room in the whole building (all 300 rooms). By now, Syrus and Hassleberry are dragging their feet in an attempt to keep up with Jaden's sugar induced energy.
"Jaden! Can we stop now or just slow down! Me and Hassleberry are tired-" At that moment, Syrus' stomach decided to make its presence known.
"Well then, march us right into your cafeteria instead so my private and I could get something to eat as well."
"Okay, Okay. Are you sure coz I think that we still have about a hundred more rooms to go to." Jaden asked as if it was the most natural thing in the world. Both Syrus and Hassleberry nodded having lost words to ask whether Jaden is for real or if he's just playing them. Then again, nobody could act like that in a regular basis, could they? So they headed off to the cafeteria but somehow got side-tracked as Jaden crossed paths with Alexis and Atticus.
"Yo Jay!" Atticus called out.
"Oh hi guys! We were just headed to the cafeteria to grab a bite to eat, wanna come?"
"Jaden, you seriously haven't changed a bit, introduce us dork!" Alexis states in an even voice, but if you listen close enough, you would be able to sense a bit of a sneer in its tone.
"Oops! Sorry, Atticus, Alexis this is Syrus and Hassleberry." As Jaden introduced them to each other, Syrus's stomach made its presence known once more so they hurriedly said their goodbyes and parted ways. As they left, Syrus caught a slightly hurt look in her eyes, but it quickly changed to a blank look as she sees Syrus looking intently at her.
"What are you looking at?" Alexis remarked in a cold, uneven tone.
"N-n-nothing!" With that, Syrus sprints forward without looking and bumps onto a good-looking blue-eyed, bluish-white haired gentleman. With the sudden impact, they both got thrown across from each other and onto their behinds.
“I'm so sorry!" Syrus yells as he gets back up to his feet and helps the other guy up.
"No worries, just watch out next time. Umm, by the way have you seen someone named Atticus pass by, he's probably with his sister named Alexis and he-"
"Oh yeah! I just met them and they went that way right after we parted."
"Really? Thanks!" So the young man rushes off, "By the way, the name is Aster."
"I'm Syrus!" However, the guy was long gone by now and Syrus resumes heading towards the cafeteria.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Cafeteria*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"Sy! What took you so long, I was getting kinda worried," says Hassleberry as he eats his food.
"Sorry… Hey, you guys started without me!" Syrus whines a bit more before Jaden and Hassleberry gave up the pretense that they didn't care and showed that they had already gotten Syrus' food after they had realized that Syrus was probably lost looking for them.
"We didn't forget you soldier! Here ya go and eat it all up!"
"Thanks Sarge!"
"Don't thank me, it was Jaden's idea coz I forgot about you as soon as I saw the food but I did order your favorites though and-" As Hassleberry kept on talking trying to make Syrus forgive him for not remembering, but he doesn't notice that Syrus and Jaden are suddenly in their own warped world.
"Did you really order this for me?"
"Yeah, I figured that you'd want to eat as soon as you get here so I ordered for you and I remembered that I didn't know what you liked so I asked him."
"Well, thanks." Syrus says as he starts to eat his food barely concealing the blush threatening to spread throughout his entire face. Coming out of his own world, Hassleberry senses that something seemed to have changed around him and he notices a silently blushing Syrus, and an elated Jaden.
"Did something just happen that I completely missed?" Hassleberry asks in his confused state. Both parties said no but the blush threatening to come out of Syrus' face told him that maybe he'll just have to wait until Syrus wants to tell him.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*At the Obelisk Pool*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The hours passed by with the three getting to know each other a little better, but it ended up with a three-way duel and naturally Jaden won, but surprisingly Syrus won a close second with Hassleberry losing at the second round. So Jaden called it a day, but Syrus and Hassleberry had other plans and went to the obelisk dorm's private pool.
"So what do you think of Jaden?" Syrus asked his best friend a little timidly.
"Is that what that blushing was all about private?"
"Yeah...*sigh* I can’t get himi out of my head anymore, it’s like… *sigh* I don’t know…"
"Well, I know that he's single," Hassleberrry provided without a single thought.
"Really? How?!" asked Syrus a little too excited about this neweset piece of information.
"Coz he asked me out back in the cafeteria," says Hassleberry in a straight face before he cracked up seeing the shocked, hurt, gaping look on Syrus' face.
"That's not funny! But seriously, how?"
"Well, I asked him who those two we met first and one thing led to another and he told me that him and that girl used to go out, but she dumped him for some other guy."
"Really?" Syrus couldn't help but feel bad about ever seeing Jaden sad so he made a silent vow that he'll try and chase everything bad in Jaden's life to retain that happy, cheery smile that Jaden always seem to have. With that the two swam a few laps and ended up in a competition which then led to two very exhausted boys. Since Syrus was so tired and his room is still across the building in the east wing,(he's on the west wing and the pool is closer to the west wing of the building) he decided to bunk in Hassleberry's bed just like old times. With both of them used to it since they grew up, they couldn't foresee the near future coming up.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Early that morning*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Though it may seem to be natural for the both of them, it seemed a bit weird for two boys claiming to be just friends to sleep in the same bed in nothing but their boxers spooned up in each other’s arms covered in nothing but a thin blanket draped across their lean and defined half-naked bodies. This is the exact scene that Chazz finds them as he walks through the door with Jaden and Chumley in tow.
“HASSLEBERRY!? SYRUS!?” Jaden yells in shock as he sees the two curled up without a care in the world. Deep down, Jaden couldn't help but feel aroused seeing Syrus so vulnerable, but also, his heart felt like breaking in two with the scene displayed in view. With Syrus slowly waking up, He bolts upright grabbing the blanket to cover himself hiding away from what he thought was a lustful and angered look on Jaden's eyes.
"I can explain!" Syrus says.
