chap 3
OK i do not own the Yu-Gi-Oh names but the story is all mine
CHAPTER 3
Next morning Yugi in his own room in his favourite pj’s he looked around but everything looked ok. Slowly he crawled out of bed and to the bathroom because he had to go badly. After Yugi went, he walked to living room to find his grandpa on the phone
“oh! Here he is now! Got to go bye!”
Yugi raised his eyebrow in question Solomon answered him
“it was the police! They wanted to know if you were awake yet! They are coming over now and be here in a minute! So sit down on the couch!”
He didn’t like the idea of talking to the police, but did what he was told too. 30 seconds later there was a knock on the door and Solomon went to answer it, Yugi just sighed and leaned back in the couch. Grandpa led the police in
“hello! Yugi is it! We came to talk about last night!”
A woman said at the mention of that Yugi shivered and brought his legs closer to his chest then put his elbows on them and rub his arms. Everyone saw him do that the lady officer sensed his uneasiness so put in
“if that’s ok with you!”
Finally Yugi spoke
“I’m sorry if I scared everyone! But I’m ok!”
He very lightly whispered ‘for now that is’ to himself but the lady heard it so walked over to him and put a hand on his shoulder. Of course Yugi flinched away but that was why she did it, to see his reaction she leaned down to face him but he looked away
“what happened Yugi! Did they hurt you?”
Yugi shook his head he almost told them but something was telling him not to talk about it that and it was his problem he might tell grandpa but not cops
“I’m fine! Really I am!”
He just wanted them to leave he was feeling uneasy about them being here. Finally they said they were going and Solomon walked the out but he could here them talking to his grandpa about him. Telling him to keep trying and keep an eye on him and any one around him. Yugi made a face because of them, why wouldn’t they leave him be about it, he really was ok worried but ok. Then grandpa came back in the room and saw the face he was making
“Yugi why the face!”
“why won’t you all believe me! I’m fine! Forget about what the cops say! About getting me to talk and keep an eye on me and everyone around me! Argh it’s really irritating! Grandpa why are you looking at me that way?”
He looked shocked and almost pale to Yugi, which worried him
“Yugi did you come and listen to us?”
“No I stayed right here! Why?”
“Because I was talking to them in whispers! Down in the shop!”
This time it was Yugi looked shocked and went pale, suddenly the house was to stuffy he needed out. He shot up fast and bolted down the steps and out the shop door without even thinking or listening to grandpa screaming his name. Solomon just stood there at the shop door watching Yugi’s form disappear he hung his head and sighed then went inside to phone all his friends to be on the look out for him. Yugi ran for five minutes straight till he arrived at a park he stopped, went to a swing and sat down he began thinking. Then he heard his whole name he looked around and saw the male cop from the house coming towards him and the car with the woman parked nearby
“well what are you doing out here! You should be at your house resting!”
Yugi made a mad face at the officer and turned his head away from him
“I’d turn around and answer my question young man! I have a stun gun! My partner won’t be able to see if I shot you! Just you falling to the ground”
Yugi heard in his head
*little one I’m right here*
He spotted a form in the shadows and felt the tingle at his mark so knowing it was Yami he turned his head to the officer with a wicked smile
“I wouldn’t threaten me if I were you You’ll find yourself in a heap of trouble. So leave now!”
“why you little brat! Ahhh what the?”
Yami came out from the shadows his crimson eyes staring warningly at the man
“like I said before leave now! Or you’ll be sorry!”
The man began to walk backwards slowly
“After I get backup. I‘ll be back for you Yugi”
“ooh wrong choice of words. Now your in for it”
Before he could comprehend what Yugi meant Yami had him by the throat
“you dare threaten my mate! I should break your neck right now! But it’s his choice what happens! ..Well little one?”
He looked thoughtful for a moment but he was interrupted by the lady officer
“let my partner go! You whatever you are! Yugi come on let‘s get you away from here! It‘s too dangerous”
Yugi just looked at her and started swinging then began humming and in a creepy tone said
“the only danger is your partner. He threatened me. The one holding his neck is only looking out for me”
The woman looked beyond shocked but had a thoughtful face on
“if so then what did he threaten you about?”
“bad mister cop there said you wouldn’t see if he shot me with a ‘st-st un gun. What ever that is? So that is why he’s being held. It’s my choice what to do with him and I was just thinking about that before you interrupted us”
Now the lady looked mad she turned her eyes to her partner ignoring Yami then she took out some handcuffs and put one on his wrist and started pulling him towards Yugi that’s when Yami stopped moving and lowly growling the lady calmly stated
“let him go I am cuffing him to the swing set”
So he let go but walked with her to the swing set so he could be nearby Yugi if the man tried anything she quickly cuffed the officer and turned to Yugi
“I suggest you leave now. You’ve seen enough of us today. Don’t worry I’ll make sure he loses his badge for this. What were you thinking! You could have put him in a coma or worse have killed him! He is still a kid for christsake!”
Yugi made a face at being called a kid and got off the swing leaving the opposite way he came in he heard her yell
“where are you going! You grandpa is already worried about you! At least let him know you’re ok. Will you!”
He just gave her a wave while walking away he could tell Yami was following him. After a block he came to another park and went to the swings, for some reason he liked swinging it made him feel better. Then Yami was there leaning against the pole watching him he sighed
“I don’t like being stared at! So quit it!”
Yami chuckled
“in a wee bit of a mood are we?”
“hmph! Whatever”
He began swinging not paying attention to Yami until
“little one! We must talk!”
He sighed and stopped swinging by dragging his feet on the ground and looked to him taking that as a signal he began
“first off! You must realize your hearing has improved right?”
He nodded thinking about what caused him to go running off from home
“well you’re getting traits from my mark! Since I saw the incident at home with your grandpa and police. Your hearing is one. But many more will surface in time and me if you hadn‘t noticed I am out in the sun”
Yugi looked above into the sky and sure enough it was gorgeous out. Then he looked at his clock it was only 1:03.
“thanks to your blood I’m able to be out”
Again Yugi made a face and turned his head but couldn’t stop the shudder that went through out his body, Yami chuckled again then said
“not a pleasant memory. Huh?”
“Hardly If you call some unknown guy crawling onto the bed with you then someone grabbing you and covering your mouth not to scream and the other slices your wrist and takes blood into a canister then doing some weird healy bit making your wrist good as new and then mysteriously falling asleep and not waking easy like usual. A good memory. Then your crazier then I thought”
Yami looked unreadable for a moment. Then he burst out laughing so hard he was holding his stomach and Yugi couldn’t help but giggle with him. Finally he calmed down and looked to Yugi, who raised his eyebrow in question
“what you said lastly was funny. Especially how you said it. Sorry but I couldn’t help myself”
Yugi shrugged and began swinging again still continuing swinging when Yami asked
“why did you go straight to a park and its swings?”
“because it makes me feel better that’s why”
Yami nodded in understanding then spoke again
“that lady is right. You should let your grandpa know you’re alright. He near had a heart attack last night when seeing you against the wall unconscious”
Again Yugi sighed and stopped swinging
“alright, but if you expect me to tell him right off the bat about you and all that other crap. Think again!”
He began to walk away when a hand on his shoulder stopped him he looked back to Yami who looked a little saddened
“I am sorry about what I did to you. But like I said before others want you and wouldn’t take no as an answer this way you can do everything when your ready... And I can protect you from things like the policeman from earlier.. Again I am sorry for causing you any pain or trouble”
“why would anyone want me?”
Yami smiled at him and answered with
“because of your hidden power that flows through you. Now lets get going and it‘s your choice if you don‘t want to tell him about me”
Then they both left towards the game shop and Yugi’s worried grandpa.

CHAPTER 3
