The previous night’s events-
It was Yugi’s birthday, he was finally of age like the rest of the group. They had chosen a place that they could have all to themselves, but would still serve them the alcohol they wanted. Yugi wasn’t exactly thrilled by the idea of getting drunk, but everyone else felt it was necessary.

To force Yugi into drinking, Jou and Honda decided to modify a game they had played when they were younger. The original game was meant to give a guest a party a present, and as such there were a list of words that if they said the present was to be passes to a new person. Modifying it to fit Yugi, the plan was that if he talked about school, he’d have to drink and if he talked about duel monsters everyone else had to drink. The trick being that Yugi wasn’t allowed to know this.

Honda went around telling everyone what the secret subjects were to make sure people knew when to drink. At first Yugi didn’t understand why he was forced to take a shot, when he’d asked Jou how school had been going. Knowing the innocent Yugi, school was a natural topic that saved him if the room was quiet. Soon Yugi had drunken more than enough that he expanded his topics from school to Duel monsters, he just couldn’t help but to bring it up. People were pretty lax on their shots that they should have been taking, but they weren’t sure if an extended hour long discussion of Dual Monsters counted as one shot or more.

Jou hadn’t really paid attention to Yugi’s words and just chose to drink when he felt like it. He too had had more than enough. Jou was wondering aimlessly through the group to find people to talk to . He wobbled his movements and jumbled his words, but was content with it.

Jou found himself wondering over to Kaiba, who had been sitting in a corner since Mokuba left with the families. The Kaiba brothers had been invited to come, Mokuba fairly excited to join. Being underage though Mokuba was made to go home when the party changed from Family to Adults, although had insisted that Seto stay.

“Why aren’t you drinking, Kaiba?” Jou asked as he stood over Kaiba.
“Just didn’t feel like it, Mutt,” He responded looking away from Jou.
“You shouldn’t call me that….” Jou said unhappily, ”I think you need some thing to drink.” Jou drunkenly decided to force the drink into Kaiba’s mouth, by putting some in his own then kissing Kaiba. Kaiba resisted as long as he could, til he knew Jou wouldn’t stop, and he gave in.

Kaiba wasn’t one to react well to liquor, he would maybe have half a scotch glass on bad days, and take 3 hours to even drink that much. The amount that Jou had given him went straight through him. As he got lightheaded almost immediately.

Jou decided to sit in Kaiba’s lap, finding this all very intriguing. When he turned around to look at Kaiba’s face he saw his cheeks pink and a hand over his eyes. Jou moved the hand as he cupped Kaiba’s face in his hands. Jou kissed Kaiba once again, with no resistance this time.
