Chapter 2:
The slayers were getting their gear together to start off everything right. They had to be prepared for whatever the Dead Blooders would have set for them. Even though the group was well-known, there was not much that their Leader Tenachi could tell them. The only thing they knew was that the leader was an ancient Egyptian pharoah and the members of the group were piled in throughout the years.
They had to work hard and always stick together to destroy this group. If they did not, neither of them might never see another sunrise. But if they were successful, they would be the only Slayer team to ever survive going up against these malicious, vile and egotistical vampires that have rampaged and savagely murdered innocents for several centuries and millenia.
To be able to come out alive in this, well, the girls were gonna make sure all the Dead Blooders were gone whether the girls survived or died during the process. To make this group non-existent would be a slayer's dream come true.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was set in the backwoods of the city of Tokyo where no one dared to set foot unless they were looking to become a meal for the Dead Blooders. Their lair was set upon a flat foundation upon a gigantic hill where a 20 foot metal fence was placed and a gate closing off the entrance to the mansion. The mansion was at least 4 stories high not including the attic or the basement. Several rooms lay inside all these floors, each one the same except for each Dead Blooder whose tastes all differed and clashed with one anothers.
In a darkened study where several dusty volumes of books are shelved and a desk and chair were set in front of an archway window sat Yami, the leader of the Dead Blooders. Their name had originated from him and his first members of the group Marik and Bakura when they were still in Egyptian times. They had attacked, maimed, killed, tortured, bondaged, and raped the innocents of the villages that lay across the vast Egyptian desert plains. So, of course because of all this, they shed so much blood and they were dead thus came Dead Blooders. And Yami stuck with it, although he had considered changing it to something else, but the group was already so well- known why change it now? The name was on the tongue and mind tip of every other creature of the night, demon, human and slayer alike. The Dead Blooders were the most notorious vampire group ever known and the longest running to boot. Not to mention they seemed to hold a type of record for killing the most humans. But the group never sired any new members unless they proved themselves worthy to become a part of the group. Yes there were the fledglings and minions they had put together over the years, who had always remained loyal to the Dead Blooders. But as of late, no new members had been sired or born. None at all. He figured he should have more since the Slayers were on his ass almost all the time. He remembered thousands of years ago when the slayers were then men. The men had no experience, no flexibility, no challenge, no emotion, no passion, no desire or fire of being a slayer. Thus came a group of women who were taught in the ways of destroying the creatures of the night. They had proven to be the most vacuous choices to extinct the demonic energies built up around the world.
Of the many slayers lost, at least half were killed by the Dead Blooders themselves. Not one of the slayers had survived attacking them. Even during the day time, they were no match for this vile and pure evil group. Thinking of all this death and blood made him remember the first time he had become a vampire while he was the Pharoah of Egypt....
-------------------5,000 Years Ago---------------------
Across the desert plains, where no shadow was cooled or buildings were complete, there was the kingdom of the Pharoah of Egypt. Torn apart from the peasants and slaves of the Egyptian royal family, they were spread out across the entire kingdom. The heat was deadly and water was in somewhat short supply, although the Nile River was flowing steadily down a little ways from the Pharoah's place.
It was pretty cool one heated day and the royal Pharoah was relaxing under the shade of a building with slaves waving feathery fans around him to help keep him cool still. He watched as shadows danced across the kingdom where the slaves and peasants were working building pyramids to earn some sort of a living to help feed their families. The Pharoah's Priests were standing around him as usual, keeping him company. Pharoah Atem looked to his right to his priest Mahado was staring straight out into the kingdom. He then looked to his left at Seto who was doing the same.
It was not until the sun began to fall down to the horizon that Mana, the Pharoah's childhood friend and Mahado's apprentice came storming up the steps of the Pharoah's building in a hurry. She was out of breath and fell to the her knees trying to catch it.
"My Pharoah!" She began but was continuing to catch her breath.
Mahado leaned down next to her. "Mana, what is wrong?"
She looked up at Mahado in deep worry. "The villages are being pillaged and attacked. And...some of the pillagers are....biting the people."
"Biting?" The Pharoah was confused. What kind of sick people would bite somebody? "What do you mean biting?"
She finally caught her breath and stood up. "My Pharoah, they were biting the villagers' necks with very sharp teeth. A-A-And their eyes were as though blood runs through them."
"Red eyes?" Atem asked.
"Yes. Red eyes."
"Mana, I will come with you! Mahado, Seto, you come as well! The theif Bakura is most likely behind all this!"
"Yes, my Pharoah!" Seto said.
"The rest of you gather the guards and head toward the villages to stop this madness! Come, Mana!" The Pharoah grabbed Mana's hand and ran down the steps as fast as he could, dragging her along for the ride. Unfortunately, he did not know what lay ahead in his future if he went to that village. Neither did Mana.
-------------------------
Atem and Mana rode through the village and saw several dead bodies lying on the ground. 'My people...' The pharoah felt like he was going to weep, but instead anger brewed within his very heart. He jumped down from his horse and walked around the village. Same as Mana. She covered her mouth, tears beginning to well up in her eyes.
"Who would do such a horrible thing, Atem?"
Atem shook his head. "I do not know. But whoever did this will die by my hands." He looked around completely in shock at the scene that lay before him of the bodies of the peasants and slaves, men, women children, all dead. Not a single one alive. Or so they thought.
A small cough was heard nearby and Mana turned abruptly. "Pharoah, there is somebody alive!"
Atem followed Mana toward a small child who was lifting her head up weakily and smiled. "My Pharoah..." She coughed harshly and blood came out of her mouth. Atem leaned down next to her and pulled her into his lap as he turned her over. He held her gently.
"What happened?" Mana asked sitting next to Atem.
The girl was breathing very short breaths. "Killers...They were outsiders that we greeted into town the night before. They slept all day and was out at night." She latched a hand onto Atem's robes. "Pharoah, they killed everybody in the village."
"You are still alive. And we will get you help."
The little girl just shook her head. "If the gods will it so, I will heal, but if they wish I die, I will die. The gods are my masters. I will obey their command."
As soon as the little girl smiled up at him once more, he smiled back, but she died before she could receive it. Her head became heavyweight and drooped to the right of her where Atem looked down seeing two puncture wounds in her small neck. 'Killers that drink blood....Vampires....'
"Atem?" Mana was very concerned now. He had a scared look on his face.
"Vampires."
"Pharoah!" Seto called as he and Mahado rode up on their horses. They saw the act of evil all around them. "What did this?"
"If I am correct, as what I have learned, we have vampires roaming our villages."
Mahado blinked. "Vampires? But they are only a myth."
The pharoah shook his head. "Not anymore."
----------------------------
It was fully night now, and a full moon rose high over the desert lighting the ground upon which the Pharoah was standing upon alone. Which he should not have been doing. Especially when it was late in the night and there was the situation of the vampires tha thave killed most of the villagers in his kingdom. Those vampires who had done this evil deed were certianly going to pay for it with their deaths at the pharoah's hands. He would cut off their heads and hang them up on his wall. Or maybe he'll remove their teeth from their mouths, melt them down and create a memorable object of his victory over these undead creatures. His thoughts were so deep he did not notice a figure creeping up behind him, latching its hand on the pharoah's throat and mouth and biting savagely into his neck until it was too late.
------------Present-------------
That was so long ago. Over 5000 years to be exact. And many things have changed since he was turned into one of the creatures of the night. He never did find out who had changed him into a vampire so many milleniums ago. He vowed to one day find the one who did and kill him. While he was a vampire, he still ached and seeked revenge for those who had killed his people. At least, the ones who did it before him.
A couple years after the Pharoah was turned, he had changed his name to Yami and had changed the grave-robber Bakura and the Tomb-Keeper Marik into his underlings who the first two members of their group. They had many fun years together with just the three of them. And they had found others they changed into minions as part of the group in a way, but were not considered members of the Dead Blooders. After 5 millenia, they felt new members were needed and so spent some of the nights after they fed, to seek out those worthy to be apart of their group.
The first one Yami had found was a boy named Yugi who looked like him when he was a little kid. The boy was sweet and kind and yes, very innocent. But in a way, this Yugi kid seemed to remind him of himself. He was melted around his unbeating heart a little for the kid and wanted him to stay around for a while. So, as casually as he could, had made friends with the kid Yugi who was surprised that there was a man who looked somewhat like him.
"Wow, you remind me of when I was a young boy, Yugi." Yami said as he sat down next to Yugi on the bench in the park.
Yugi just smiled. "Really? Gosh, thanks, Yami. You kind of remind me of a brother in a way. We do sort of look alike."
Yami chuckled. "I guess we do."
The conversation had continued but before Yugi was able to say good bye to Yami for the evening, the vampiric instincts kicked in, wanting to dive in for the blood of the young man who he needed to have in his life and apart of his group. Yami controled himself for as long as he could before he grabbed Yugi, pulled him to him and bit him. After that, Yugi was a member of the Dead Blooders, although not happy at first, but learned how to adjust.
Seto was the next one that Yami had found. He was vile, mean, strict, complained all the time and had a lot of money and resources that Yami and the Dead Blooders might be able to use in the near future. With the company at their hands, there would be no stopping the Dead Blooders at all. Seto, though was also fancied by Marik who looked at him, ready to pounce and teach the boy who was gonna be his sire, but Yami stopped him and backhanded him, sending Marik flying across the room. That taught Marik to stay away from the ones that Yami fancied himself. Although Seto, he was completely unaware that Yami was a vampire, but kind of felt this odd feeling that he might be, well, gay, in his own way. Everytime Yami stepped close, he'd back away. Then Seto was completely pinned against his desk.
"What the hell are you doing? Get away from me! Or I'll call Security!" Seto snarled.
Yami smirked. "Oh, Seto, you are the perfect member of the Dead Blooders."
Seto's eyebrows knitted together. "What the hell are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about becoming apart of the biggest vampiric group for centuries."
His eyes widened slightly. "Centuries? Vampire? What the hell? You must be a crazy fucking bastard! I'm calling security if you do not leave these premises at this moment!"
The vampire smirked again and stepped closer to Seto grabbing Seto's chin and turning his head to the side. "Trust me. You'll enjoy being apart of my group. We're....to die for."
And that was when he bit and sired the member of the Dead Blooders Seto. Yami just chuckled at the experience. 'Who would have thought that Seto Kaiba would be so scared of another person? That was why I chose him in the first place. He's perfect.'
And then the last one to join their group by far was Joey Wheeler. Yami and the rest of the group were not going to accept him at first until they had met him and knew what he was like. Would he be a perfect member of the group? Would he bring something in that was never there before? He did have something. Something that Seto saw in him. Yami could not really remember though what it was but whatever it was, it was certainly bringing alot of entertainment into the group with many arguments and quarrels between Seto and his sired.
As Seto had told him about the time he sired Joey, Joey had been walking down the street, heading home from work when Seto's limo pulled up next to him. The driver of the limo got out, grabbed Joey and threw him in the backseat.
"What the hell is going on here, Kaiba? How many times do I have to say no!" Joey complained.
Seto just smirked. "Oh, Wheeler, come on. It'll be fun. Besides, Yami said it was all right and plus, whatever I want, I get."
"Kaiba, never thought you were the kinda man who was gay. Although, I guess there were some doubts in my mind that you would ever get a woman. So I guess this works perfectly for ya." Joey smirked.
"Funny, Wheeler." Seto looked at Joey while licking his lips.
"Hey, Kaiba, I was just joking."
Seto moved from his place and sat down next to Joey. "You're going to be my sired whether you like it or not, Wheeler." He brought a hand up running his fingers through Joey's blond hair.
He hit Seto's hand away. "Cut it out, Kaiba. I'm not gay."
"You don't have to be gay to enjoy this..." He ran his hand up Joey's thigh, moving it up his side and to his throat. "See?" Joey shivered.
'Ah, man, what's wrong with me? I can't be doing this. Although, I hate to admit, but it feels kinda good...' He closed his eyes.
"Now, I know you like it, Wheeler."
"Don't ruin the mood, Kaiba."
He chuckled. "All right." Seto leaned in sniffing Joey. "Your blood is just pumping away in that body of yours. Waiting to be released into my mouth. It's hot and steaming, ready to burst." He grabbed Joey's hair roughly and pulled his head down to the right. "Ready to burst...for me..." He sank his fangs into Joey's throat, and Joey screamed at the top of lungs.
Who would have thought Joey would be an honorary member of the group.
Yami looked at his clock. It was almost midnight. There was somebody lurking around the mansion outside the gates. 'The Slayers have come out to play once more....this should be interesting....'
--------------------------SLAYER CENTRAL----------------------------
The girls were getting ready to leave. They hugged Tenachi promising they would destroy the group Dead Blooders and hopefully, make it out alive.
"Good luck, girls. I hope I do see you again."
Rebecca winked. "Don't worry, Tenachi. We'll be fine."
Serenity smiled. "Yeah, Tenachi. We're rough and tough. Who has ever taken us down?"
Tenachi smiled and chuckled. "The best of luck."
That said, the girls were gone.
