DISCLAIMER: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh. Some very clever people in Japan do (though if you believe the TV series, Pegasus owns it...). I do, however, own Toby (one of the OCs in this fic) cos he is me!, but I don't own the sword :(, wish I did tho...
Chapter 2: Everyone arrives, and the fun begins.
Yami was cleaning up a little bit at his house, as several of his mates (to recap: Toby, Yugi, Joey, Seto and Mokuba if he couldnt find a babysitter, Ryou, Bakura, Jono and Amiya) were coming for a sleepover. The food was all ready (mainly a selection of things like crisps, sweets, chocolate, KFC and chips), the drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) was all set out, the sleeping arrangements had been prepared, the bottle was ready for "Spin the Bottle", the films they were gonna watch were all ready, his parents were gone, and the doorbell was fixed. The doorbell went off, making Yami jump. He sprinted for the door and opened it, finding Yugi and Toby standing there.
"Cool place, Yami! Your parents must be loaded to have a house this big!" said Toby in astonishment.
"Yeah, well..." said Yami, slightly embarassed. He never talked much about his parents' inherited wealth.
"Are we just gonna stand here talking or are you gonna let us in? It's freezing out here!!!" said Yugi.
"Oh yeah, sure" said Yami quickly, moving so they could get in. Just as Yami shut the door, the doorbell went off again.
"Hi Yami!" Joey said when Yami opened the door.
"Hey Yami." said Seto calmly. He obviously wasnt fazed by the size of the house.
"Hiya Yami!!!!" said Mokuba.
"Sorry about Mokuba." Seto whispered to Yami "We couldn't find him a babysitter. All the ones we asked were too scared of him... I can see why."
"Ahh, no worries, I planned for it" Yami replied.
"Hmmmm....."
Just as Yami shut the door again, the doorbell went off.
"HI!!!!!!! Can I come in?"
"NO TEA!!!!!!!! NOW GO AWAY!!!!!!"
Yami slammed the door shut when, yep you guessed it, the doorbell went off again.
"Wat?"
"Hey, that aint no way to talk to a member of the TIS!"
"Sorry Jono I thought you were Tea."
"Tea?! Now thats an insult! Anyway, Amiya's here too."
"Hi Amiya"
"Hey Yami"
"Who's Amiyaaa....?" Mokuba trailed off on seeing Amiya, it was pretty clear that he was smitten, but no-one saw this, because Yami was closing the door, Jono and Amiya were saying "Hi" to everyone present, and Toby and Joey were finishing an eating contest, with Seto judging. Yami shut the front door and was just about to sit in his armchair, when, yep, the doorbell went off again.
"Geez, I hope this is the last time this happens..."
"Hello Yami, are we late?"
"Oh hey Ryou, hey Bakura, come in, everyone's here now!"
"Oh good, we're not late." said Ryou.
In the front room, Seto and Joey were now doing their two-man comedy act, or should I say, one man and his dog act.
"Sit Joey sit!" said Seto. Joey promtly sat on the floor like a dog.
"Good boy!" said Seto, rubbing the top of Joey's head.
"WOOF!" barked Joey. Mokuba was alternating between laughing and stuffing his face, Toby was laughing his characteristic (i.e. loud. Very loud.) laugh, Ryou was politely laughing whilst Bakura was trying to make him laugh more, and Yugi was giggling away in the corner.
"He looks so sweet when he's laughing..." Yami thought, "Later. Later you'll have your chance, away from prying eyes..." Yami looked around at everyone laughing and giggled himself, but then he spotted Mokuba. He was staring straight at Amiya, rapt and misty-eyed.
"Hmmm...." Yami thought "Mokuba and Amiya... they might actually make a good couple... doesn't seem like Amiya's interested though...". Considering Amiya had noticed Mokuba staring, and waved her hand in front of his eyes, this was probably true. However, Mokuba didn't seem to notice, as he started up a conversation with Amiya, mainly small talk from what he could hear, but whether Mokuba would take it further... who knew?
Yami looked round again, only to notice Toby had disappeared, and so had the plate of chocolates, which had been swapped for an ordinary plate which Yami had set in a pile for everyone to use to hold the food. Yami laughed out loud: he had expected nothing less from the guy who held all the school records for the eating contests (he had even eaten what was left from the girls' competition). Still, he wondered where Toby was when he appeared with a bottle saying:
"Anyone up for Spin the Bottle?"
So, wadda think people? Ickle Mokuba got a crush!!! Hehehe... R&R please!!!!! AND NO FLAMES!!!!!
