Knowing too Much
No More Us
Welcome to Chapter 17. Thanks for all the support. The finale is coming
soon. Hope you enjoy everything in-between. The thing with grandpa being
in a recovery home is in the original..don't remember exactly where, but it's
in there. ;) Anyways...it's just another filler...or is it?
Chapter 17: Knowing too Much
~~Next Day Around 4:30pm~~
Yami, Yugi, and Mrs. Mutou are in the minivan on their way to Domino
Recovery Home. They get out and go in.
"Hi. How may I help you?" the receptionist says.
She notices Yugi.
"Hey. I remember you. You're Mutou Sugoroku's grandson." she says.
Yugi nods.
"He can't wait to get home and challenge you and Yami to Duel
Monsters." she says to them.
She gets a folder and hands a clipboard to Mrs. Mutou.
"Miss, how are you related to Mutou-san?" she asks.
"I'm his yome." (AN: Daughter-In-Law)
She takes the clipboard and fills out the release papers. About 10 minutes
later, Sugoroku walks out, carrying his bags.
"But Mutou-san, you don't need to carry those!" A nurse says.
"Nonsense! I feel like I'm 21 again!" he says.
"That's grandpa for you..." Yami says as his face twitches.
"80 years old and still thinks he's a teenager." Mrs. Mutou says
laughing nervously.
"I heard that Sakana. I'ly 7ly 79. I will be 80 next year." He says
dropping his bags next to Yugi.
He stands in front of Yugi and gives him a hug.
"I missed you Yugi." he says.
"Me...too..." Yugi says.
"Ahh...I almost forgot." grandpa says pulling away. "You still have
amnesia don't you?"
Yugi nods.
"Don't worry. You'll have your memories back in no time."
Yami looks at grandpa nervously.
'Don't do that...not now.'
Mrs. Mutou finishes the paperwork and Yugi and Yami grabs the
bags and loads them in the vehicle. They all get in and Mrs. Mutou
drives home. Mrs. Mutou, Yugi, and Yami get grandpa's bags and
take them to his room. He goes in his room and goes to bed.
"I'm going to bed too. Goodnight." Yugi says going upstairs. Yami followehinehind him.
He helps Yugi get ready for bed and they get in. Yami makes sure that
Yugi's asleep then goes downstairs and sits next to Mrs. Mutou.
"Been almost 2 years since the accident." Mrs. Mutou says.
"I know."
"He can get his memories back any time you know."
"I know."
"He could bump his head on anything or something can come up to
jar his memory."
"I know."
"So that's why you've been so close to him, especially these past
two years."
"No. Despite what went on between Yugi and I, I still love him. I
will always love him."
"But looks at what you did to him. What you drove him to do is
inexcusable."
"Don't you think that my heart breaks each and every time something
happens between me and Kaiba?!"
"Well, I seem to differ. If you hated it so much, why didn't you just
quit or asked to be moved?"
"I got addicted to him."
"Still now, your body lusts for Kaiba-kun? Doesn't it."
"I don't know what my body wants. One part is telling me to go back
to Kaiba Corp and leave Yugi really for good. The other part is telling
me to continue to take advantage of the situation and love Yugi the
way I never got a chance to do before."
"So you're hoping that when the amnesia finally wears off, so will
Yugi's hate towards you?"
"He doesn't hate me." Yugi says clenching his fists. "He loves me. He
says so himself."
"Yami, ask yourself this."
"What is it?" He says nervously.
"How much do you love Yugi? How much do you just lust after him?"
Yami couldn't respond.
'Do I love or lust Yugi? I don't know...'
"What is your heart telling you Yami?"
'To be...free, continue seeing Kaiba at work...to stay with aibou...'
"Listen, I don't want to see my son hurt again. So please, take
care of him, Atem."
He nods.
"I know what he did in response, making out with Katsuya-san, is
inexcusable also...but one day, fate for the two of you will show."
'Unfortunately...it will.'
She goes to the kitchen to grab something to drink.
Little to either one's knowledge, they had a 'spy' at the top of a
certain stairwell, listening and listening well to their conversation.
