Welcome to the 16th Chapter of this story. I truly hope that each
and every one of you are enjoying this.
Chapter 16: Just Visiting
Yami wakes up early to see Yugi missing.
'Where is he?!' e loe looks around the room and sees Yugi's legs still propped up next
to the desk chair.
'Where'd he go?!'
Yami jumps out the bed and hears the toilet flush. He goes to the
bathroom to see Yugi standing on a foot rest, washing his hands. Yugi
turns to see Yami standing in the door.
"What? I didn't want to wake you up."
Yami laughs then picks up Yugi and carries him to the
"What are we going to do today?" Yami asks.
"Can we go and see everyone? I want to get out the house today." replies
Yugi.
"Ok. We can do that."
They take a bath and put their clothes on. They go downstairs and
eat breakfast.
"Ready to go aibou?" Yami asks.
"Yes. Let's go." Yugi says as he walks out the back door.
"You know this isn't going to last." Mrs. Mutou says.
"Unfortunately I know that." Yami replies as he walks out the
door into the garage.
"Come on mou hitori no boku! For someone with real legs, you
walk slow!" Yugi says teasingly.
"The doors are unlocked aibou." Yami says unlocking the door to
his Jaguar.
Yugi shakes his head.
"I want to walk. Ever since I got out the hospital, I've been almost
babied around to say that I'm 25 years old. And you and okaa-san
don't even let me walk to get the mail. Today, I'm walking." Yugi says
going out the garage door.
Yami sighs then follows. He notices Yugi has stopped at the edge of
the driveway.
"What's wrong aibou?" Yami asks.
"Which way?" Yugi asks.
Yami laughs. "Come on. Let's go left to Honda and Otogi's. They're
closest.
"Ok." Yugi says.
They walk to Honda and Otogi's apartment in D. Square Complex.
Yugi knocks on the door and Honda opens it. They go in and go into
the living room.
"Hey guys! How are you?" Otogi says to them.
"Doing great." replies Yugi.
"I didn't see the Jag outside, so, how'd the two of you get here?" asks
Honda.
"We walked." Yami replies.
"Yugi?! How are your legs?!" Honda asks.
"They're fine. Don't have a monkey. I've been walking with these for
over a year."
Otogi and Yami laugh at the monkey joke, as they remember what happened
to Honda during the Noa fiasco. Honda growls.
"Did I miss the joke?" Yugi asks.
"No. You didn't. It's just when we were dueling against Noa, Honda's
body got stolen and his soul was trapped in a monkey." Otogi says trying
to hold back hysteric laughter.
They stay for a while longer then leave.
"Where to next?" Yugi asks.
"Hmm. It's still early, so it's best that we head to Malik and Marik's."
"Why do you say it like that?"
"At night...it gets kind of dangerous to be there."
"What do you mean??"
"Marik and Kura love ot have Yami no Games. They feel it's best to do them
at night when it's scariest."
"Scariest?"
"I care not to disclose the details of their games." Yami says shuddering.
They reach the Ishtar residence and Ishizu opens the door.
"Well, hello there Pharaoh, Yugi." She says, inviting them in.
They go into the den where Ri and Kura are arguing. Of course Malik
and Ryou are wasting their time trying to stop them from getting
into a Yami no Game.
"Will the two of you stop it already!" Ishizu says to them.
They look up to see Yugi and Yami looking at them.
"Oh, hello Pharaoh. Sorry about that." Kura says.
"Yea. Sorry." Ri says.
They sit down and watch a Capsule Monster Chess Tourney on TV.
"Well Ryou, Kura, I'm glad that the two of you are here. That's
one less stop we have to make." says Yami.
"Are you leaving?" Malik asks looking desperately at the two.
"Yep. We have to go now. Need to go by Kaiba Manor." Yami replies.
"Why can't you stay until the two of them goes to sleep. Or put a sleeping
spell on them." Ryou says.
Yami shakes his head.
"Don't worry, I'll handle them two." Ishizu says.
"Yea...we don't do Yami no Games while Nee-san is here anyways." Ri
says annoyingly.
They leave and go to Kaiba Manor. Izono opens the door for them.
"Yugi-sama, Yami-sama, I'm sorry, but Kaiba-sama and Jou-sama
are not here." he says.
"Oh, it's ok Izono-kun. We were just stopping by for a visit. Nothing
important." Yami says.
"I can tell them that you stopped by."
"Don't worry. It's no biggie."
They leave and go home.
"So, how was your day Yugi?" Mrs. Mutou asks as he sits on the s nex next to her.
Yami sits on the recliner."It "It was great. Everyone kept saying that I don't need to walk so far. I
don't agree cause I feel great!" Yugi says laughing.
"Well, I have some great news for the two of you." she says.
"What is it Mutou-san?"
"Grandpa is coming home tomorrow. We're going to get him around 5pm."
"So, he's fully recovered after the bone disease?" Yami asks.
"Yes. He's back to his old self. I'm just wandering how closely will
he follow the diet his doctor gave him."
"Don't worry. He's going to be great!" Yugi says.

I know it's not an 'jump-out-and-bite-you-in-the-ass' chapter, but it's
