I do hope
he italics work this time-I’m so fed up with always having to add those stupid
*, to switch scenes.

Ok, This
chappie is basically an argument between Kanashimi and Katsuya-yes you read
right, an argument-enjoy!^^

Hiroto Honda
watched his best friend in concern.

At the moment,
the blond was seated at his usual table in class, just like everybody else, trying
to come up with the results for the math test spread in front of him.

His wiggling,
mumbling and counting under his breath could be considered rather normal, but
not the fact that his eyes were shifting from purple to gold and back again.

And that he was
obviously having a heated conversation with himself.

Sighing
inwardly, Honda returned to the task at hand, namely his test, hoping against
all hopes, that it was not what he supposed it to be.

It had nearly
destroyed Katsuya the last time, and he wasn’t sure, the blond would be able to
collect himself and walk away from it that easily ever again.

“Fuck it, I’m sick and tired of y’ always
interfering in my life! I don’t give a shit if you’re me, or my dark part, or
whatever, I just want y’ gone!”

Kanashimi sighed in exasperation.

“This discussion is completely pointless.
How often do I have to tell you, that we are one? I am you. You are I. It’s
that simple. You can’t get rid of me.”

Jou snorted.

“Really? Care to tell me, where spent the
past four years, then? Sides, I think I managed life rather well without y’,
thank you very much!”

A few moments, Kanashimi regarded Jou
with a look of cool indiference, before he stated:

“In all honesty, I am surprised you lived
to see sweet sixteen. Considering how weak you are, it’s a wonder you’re still
alive at all.”

There was that
look again.

The one that
sent shivers up and down Honda’s spine.

His heart gave
an almost painful thump, when the brunet realized, that Jou was about to turn
into that..
thing style='font-style:normal'>again.

“What do y’ meaeak?eak? I might not be
the toughest guy on the planet, but I sure as hell can pull my ass out of the
fire-“

“Into the frying pan, yes. For every
hazardous situation you manage to evade, you stumble headalong into two even
worse ones. When will you finally stop acting like the blond ditz everyone
takes you for, and start using that head of yours? It’s not like you’re stupid
or anything.”

Kaiba finished
the last two questions on his test, absent-mindedly dotting down the correct
answers before letting his blue eyes drift over to his
blond-rival?lover?bedmate?sex-friend?all of them and none of those?

He wasn’t sure
how to refer to him, all he knew was, that Jou was highly addictive.

Seto craved the
blond’s bodre tre than anything else-and nothing else but Jou’s body.

At least,
that’s what he wanted to believe.

“I want you to apologize. And then I want
you gone. Permanent.”

Kanashimi frowned, then an almost tender
smirk, but a smirk nonetheless, appeared on his face.

Jou just kept staring at his alter ego,
jaw set, body in a semi-relaxed stance, ready to attack at the slightest
inkling. Kanashimi nodded in approvement.

“You’re right. You have grown stronger
over those past few years. Yet,” he closed the distance between them in the
wink of an eye, “it still doesn’t seem you’re any smarter than before. 18.”

“Nani?” asked Katsuya in confusion.
Kanashimi rolled his eyes.

“Number seven. x=18. And question seven
equals 48, not 46. See what I mean? You’re too easily distracted.”

“Yeah, well, perhaps I could focus better
if I didn’t haveta keep a certain someone in check all the time. It’s kinda
hard, always having t‘ concentrate on keeping the portal shut, so y’ can’t
escape. Just so I can keep my friends save from harm.”

Minutes passed in eerie silence, while
Jounouchi concentrated back on his test. I the middle of the last logarythm,
Kanashimi mused aloud:

“Ironic, isn’t it? That your sense of
friendship, your..loyalty for your friends, is the very reason I managed to
escape.”

Katsuya didn’t even feign interest, as he
tried to solve the final riddle. Not like his dark half cared.

“The place you banned me to is called the
Crimson Vast. It’s a world built of blood and pain, with oceans of tears to
wash ashore the souls and minds of those unlucky enough to be cast there. Each
soul has it’s very own path leading to this reality, to freedom and salvation,
but the door can only be opened and closed from this side. Most of the damned
perish, before they get a chance to return.”

Jou gave him a half-lidded glare.

“What’s that gotta do with my friends?”

Kanashimi flashed him a grin, that was
supposed to be sweet, but was both distgusting and scary.

“Your meddling with the Shadow Realm.
Every time you came into contact with it, the seal was breached a little more.
When you died, the spell was broken. All I needed was another shock to coax the
protal open, an emotional hailstrom strong enough to rattle the fundaments of
your soul. Which Tokunaga provided so kindly.”

Katsuya’s golden eyes were dark and cold,
void of any emotion.

“And you thanked him his favor by killing
him.”
