This story is going to be sixteen chapters long, and for those who like the Seto and Joey there will be a few more, but are anguish, but you have to read to find out.

CHAP 14

Marik and Bakura walked into the house and were met by Seto and Joey who were in a ready to kill each other mode and Yami lent on the wall with a smirk highly amused, and Shadi looked on with shock as the pair continued to bicker.

“You ass hole I don’t now how many times I have to tell you that I’m not a DOG!” Joey throws his shoe at Seto who ducked and it hit Yami in the head sending him to the floor.

“Well I always thought that dogs are good natured, but you proved me wrong with that bad temper,” Seto smirked “do I need to get you a muzzle, and perhaps some training?”

“No but you need that stick removed, and a new personality” Joey threw his other shoe hitting Shadi in the face.

“I just don’t see where this is my fault” Seto growled growing angrier changing the subject.

“Since I met you I have never hated someone more then I do you,” Joey crossed his arms over his chest, Seto was taken back by the words.

“Do you hate me that much Jo?” Seto asked, his tone voided of any sarcasm, or annoyance.

“What do you think?” Joey said missing how hurt Seto looked right then, or was it that he wasn’t paying attention.

“What did I expect, a dog like you needs a master, but being a stray what did I expect” Seto said smugly just knowing how to get at the other, but the hurt was still there, but this was all it was just to get at the other.

“Maybe if you weren’t so caught up in your self loving that you could see past your own nose, and see me for what I really am and not some dog that needs a master, you so like to call me so much” Joey snapped again, throwing his bag at Seto which only hit Yami who was just getting up from the last object that had hit him, Joey was a bad shot.

“Well next time you get jumped by some freak then you’re on your own” Seto straightened himself up giving Joey his cold stare.

“News flash Kaiba, I’m already on my own, I don’t need you to save me every time that I’m in trouble, I can take care of myself” Joey glared he didn’t like to fight with the other but the dog thing always got to him, and Seto seemed to enjoy it a little to much for his liking.

“Oh and what a fine job you did of it to, almost getting your head bitten off” he narrowed his eyes into slits, this was the first time that Joey had called him by that name, not that it worried him he just didn’t like to hear it coming from him.

“I was just doing” he was cut off.

“HEY!” Marik shouted, both Seto and Joey turned and looked at them, “did you find out anything.”

“Yes you have a guest,” Shadi said as he walked over to them rubbing his face.

“Really, well let’s go play, we wouldn’t want to keep him bored now.” Bakura said as he walked off to the basement.

“Well I’m going home” Joey had tears in his eyes their little fight had hit home, he didn’t know why it hurt but it did and it seemed that Seto didn’t really care for him anyway, he was alone in this world, he opened the front door and slammed it closed behind him.
“Don’t leave me Joey” Seto said in a quite voice as the door shut, his heart sank to the bottom of his stomach, this was much harder then he thought it would be.

They had been down there for a while, and came up for a break, they gasped as Malik came in the room.

“Malik what happened to you?” Bakura rushed over caught him as he stumbled forward a bit.

Malik ignored him “did you get someone?” Malik stood up but swayed a bit, his injures were worse then before.

“Yes…. his in the basement… but I think you” Marik was cut off by Malik as he walked past them and down the basement.

He found their prisoner and punched him in the face, sending him across the room, Malik followed and pulled him up to eye level and whispered something in his ear, and then put him down again.

“Okay, I’ll tell you” the vampire said in fear.

Marik and Bakura were shocked as they watched Malik. Malik growled at the vamp, who shrieked, “I don’t know what they’re going to do, but I know were there hideout is,” he looked at the two at the door and then back at Malik.

Malik raised an eyebrow and the vamp continued, “their hideout is in the mountains, to the east of here, you can only get in during the day, it guarded by witches.”
Malik turned to leave Marik and Bakura grabbed his arm, “Malik you need to rest now” Marik said censored for his young mate.

“Back off Marik I didn’t ask you,” he snapped, shaking them off, as he stormed up the stairs, Marik and Bakura were dumfounded by Malik’s outburst and followed him.


They grabbed Malik at the door as Seto and Yami came in to see the three fight, they looked on with wide eyes, as they had never seen Malik in a full fight like this before particularly with Bakura and Marik.

“Malik, what’s gotten into you?” Bakura said as he was thrown across the room and hit the wall on the other side, he growled.

“I told you I have somewhere to go” he throws off Marik and he landed near Bakura, who lunged at Malik pinning him to the wall.

“You’re not going anywhere Malik, not like that, and not to the vamps hideout, you’ll get yourself killed” Bakura growled hoping to talk some sense into him.

“Stop treating me like a child” Malik yelled at them as he struggled to get free, flapping his black feather wings as if they would aid him to escape them, he didn’t want to tell them that he had lost Ryou to the vampires, in his moment of stupidity leaving Ryou alone “you don’t understand I have to go” Malik said as he stopped his struggling, he realized that he couldn’t get away from them, tears ran down his face as he fell to his knees.

He couldn’t keep this from them, they would find out, Bakura knelt down with him, and Marik walked over as well and pulled him up and into his arms.

“Tells us Malik so we can help you?” Marik whispered into his ear that made Malik sob into Marik’s shoulder.
“They got Ryou, they took him we have two days or their going to turn him, Yugi too” Malik shakily pushed them away, “Mai was there and she took them, I was there but I couldn’t stop her, so now I’m going to kill the lot of them” his voice broke by the sobs as he turned to leave.

Seto stepped in front of Malik blocking his way, he waved a hand just over Malik’s face, his eyes slid shut as Malik fell forward into Seto’s waiting arms.

“What did you do?” Bakura growled at Seto as he and Marik took Malik from Seto.

“Bring him to my room, I’ll heal him so we can make a new plan” he walked off to his room as the others followed him.

Ryou rolled over and came face to face with a sleeping Yugi, he sat up and looked around the room, frowning he got off the bed and walked over to the door and tried the handle to find that it was locked.

He sighed and walked back to the bed, the door swung open causing Yugi to jump up looking around.

As a young girl placed some food on the floor, Ryou noticed the marks on her neck, swallowing the lump in his throat “where are we?”

The girl looked up and gave him a sad look, Ryou cringed at her eyes, they were lifelessly dull with no spark, which a young girl of her age should have “You… should leave as soon as you can” she looked at the door then back to Ryou “the master will show you no mercy…. he will kill what life you have and make you a slave” she bowed her head.

“How long have you been here?” Ryou asked her, what information he could get he would and it just might help him to get out.

“I have forgotten, and the outside world, the master keeps me here and I can never leave” a few tears fell as she looked at him.

“So you can’t leave, do you have family out there?” Ryou saw the tears fall from her eyes but she made no attempt to wipe them away.

“I have a brother, but he thinks I’m dead, but I’m not sure, I have to go” she turned to leave.

“What is your name?” he asked her as she was at the door, she stopped and turned to look at Ryou, with a confused look upon her face as if she had forgotten something, she looked at Ryou as if he was talking in another language.

“He calls me…Kitten…” she shrugged, the name didn’t bother her at all for some strange reason.

“No, not what he calls you, your real name before he brought you here?” he moved closer to her.

“Serenity I think, I’m not sure” she said as the door closed, leaving Ryou and Yugi alone in the room.

“I think I know who her brother is,” Yugi said from the bed.

“You do?” Ryou cocked a brow at Yugi.

“Yeah she’s Joey’s little sister I think” Yugi looked thoughtful for a minute.

“Come on, help me look for away out of here, before this master guy comes” Ryou walked over to the window.

As Ryou pulled open the window “that was easy” he looked back at Yugi who was at the door.

“She left the door unlocked” Yugi said as he pulled open the door, he jumped back in fright as a tall man stood in the doorway.

“I’m happy to see you up” he walked into the room.

“What do you want from us?” Ryou stepped in front of Yugi and narrowed his eyes.

“You,” he waved a hand and Ryou found himself in his grasp, and looking into blue eyes, “and to think that I could be condemning myself for what I’m about to do to such an angel” he wiped away some hair that was in Ryou’s eyes and neck.

Ryou growled and punched him in the face, anger had built up inside at the sight of this man and he just snapped, the guy only slapped him across the face Ryou cried out, but was pulled back to eye contacted.

“You will be joining us, so I’m going to turn you into a vampire, your friends would be here sooner then I thought” he bit down on Ryou’s neck painfully, Ryou screamed out but only to have it die in his throat and tears fell from his eyes at the thought of Malik, Bakura and Marik, his life force left his body, after a while he went limp, and his breath was shallow.

Yugi bit the guy on the arm to make him let go of Ryou but he was pushed away and held by Serenity who looked away and told Yugi to do the same, as Ryou would be no longer be himself but something darker, she had seen it done so many times before.

The guy cut his wrist with his fingernail and put it to Ryou’s mouth and let the blood run in, Ryou coughed most of it up, but enough had been swallowed.

The man dropped an unconscious Ryou to the floor carelessly “he will turn in a few hours”

“But that woman said that we had two days” Yugi said as he looked over Ryou and tried to stop the bleeding on Ryou’s neck.

“As for your Yami, he gave me the order to have you here as a slave” he clicked his fingers, as Serenity let go of Yugi, walking up to her master and handed him a collar.

“Yami wouldn’t do that” Yugi bit his lip as tears filled his eyes, he wasn’t sure any more from what he had seen, and he was unsure of himself.

“What you think the lord of demons would love a food source to their kind” he raised an eyebrow, he grabbed Yugi roughly putting the collar around Yugi’s neck, then letting him go.

“Kitten will fill you in, since you won’t be leaving anytime soon” with that he left the room.

The girl and Yugi put Ryou on the bed, Ryou opened his eyes “Yugi, you get out of here save yourself” he said weakly.

“No you’ll be coming with me” Yugi lent his head on Ryou’s chest, “Malik, Bakura and Marik would be worried about you”

Ryou choked back a sob “they wouldn’t want me now” Ryou cried out and clutched his chest in pain and past out again.

“What’s wrong with him?” Yugi looked at the girl, tears running down his face as he gave the collar a tug that was around his neck.

“He is changing and it is painful, I have some thing that will help him” she pulled out a green leaf from her jacket pocket, placing it in Ryou’s mouth, “it will melt, and make him fell better”

They watched Ryou sleep hoping that there was some way they could help him and escape this place together.

Later on that night, Joey kicked open the front door to his apartment and closed and locked the door behind him, mumbling under his breath as he walked to his bathroom.

He turned on the water, and pulled off his clothes and stepped in the hot water as he let the water run over his body he sank to the bottom of the shower as the words flowed through his head “you’re on your own” he closed his eyes as the tears fell mixing with the water, he had never felt more alone before now, but when Seto had held him earlier that night he felt safe and wanted but he knew that wasn’t true the other hated him, and would be nothing more then enemies of hated words for each other.

Then something caught his eyes, there in the corner of the shower on a little shelf was all his answers that he need and he could end the pain of loneliness as he reached out his hand “News flash Seto I’m already on my own, I don’t need you” taking hold of the razor, he stood up.

He hadn’t meant for the words that he said to Seto and how cruel they were, but every time they were in a room together the words would fly, and he would be the one that was hurt every time.

He had fallen for the tall brunet, and he had fallen hard, but couldn’t tell him that, Seto already hated him as it was, and if he had told him he would be laughed at and rejected and he couldn’t handle it not coming from him. He put the razor to his wrist but stopped a few inches above the vain that held his very life, maybe he should leave a note to Yugi and Ryou, so that they would understand why he did it and not be so upset, “but they wouldn’t understand” he said to the empty room.

It just seemed so funny that even Ryou the quite and withdrawn had found someone, actually three someone’s to be exact, and Yugi as well had found someone, and he came across the one person that he fell for, he never meant too it just happened, and he can’t stand him at the same time.

His hand started to shake, he had been thinking of doing this for some time now, he had nobody anyway, but he always failed every time, but this time he would do it determination set in.

He pushed down on his wrist with the razor, moving it across he hissed at the pain and the tears fell again, but he did the same to the other one. He slumped to the bottom of the shower dropping the razor with a clinking sound, as the blood and water mixed turning the water to a pink as it ran down the drain with his life.

Wondering how long it would take, what Yugi and Ryou would think, if they would miss him at all, the tears fell more freely, yes that was it free, he would be free from his pain, and the hurtful words of the one secret love he had keep inside, as his world swirled and blurred he grew weak and closed his eyes, he had never felt so tired before.

I do like Joey for a laugh so I wouldn’t do to much to hurt him. (Looks around back and forth) wait I’ll go get Seto (runs off) SEETOOO!!!!!!
