Forever, My Puppy

Joey sat alone in the room he shared with his lover. The stereo played music, but Joey wasn't listening. He heard his sister wailing outside. Their mother and her had always been close and the news of her death had come as a compleate shock. Seto had gone with her to identify the body, but they had returned. Footstepsthe the stairs sounded then the door opened. Serenity came in and looked at her brother. She winked at him, and advanced the cd to a song then paused it with the remote. She slipped out with the remote in hand hid on the balcony. Seto stepped in the door and looked at Joey. He made a late show of hiding a small black velvet box behind his back. The remote sailed through the air as the music filled the room

* Seto's POV*
No more talk of darkness
Forget these wide-eyed fears
I am here, nothing can harm you
My words will warm you and calm you

I smiled and took Joey in my arms. The past few weeks have been rough for him, and I only wish to make it much easier for him. Serenity cried to see the shape their mother was in, and I don't think Joey could have handled seeing neither one of his parents in the shape they were in. I felt his hands feeling my pockets in search of the box. I moved just his fingers hit it.

"No, No, my love. You must wait for this." The only responce he gave me was a soft, puppy-like growl.

Let daylight dry your tears

This song is my favorite from the Phantom of the Opera. It speaks of love, true and sweet, just like I feel for Joey. This song will be the one we get Married with.. and one more surprise.

* Joey's POV *
Then say you love me every waking moment
Turn my head with talk of summertime

Promise me that all you say is true

I froze when the woman began to sing. All the time I lived with my father, I was in total darkness and never realized it. He tried to keep me away from my friends there at the end. With Seto, life is like a vacation every day. Serenity and I never have to work a day in our lives, it will always be summer for us. I want to see whats in that in the box. Seto has a surprise for me, I know now. Serenity staying with us was not the surprise, but the slip up Serenity said yesterday to Catherine. That made me realize that something was up.

*Seto's POV*
Let me me be your shelter
Let me be your light
You are safe, no one will find you
Your fears are far behind you

I want to drop to one knee befor him, but not too soon. I give up, and drop. Holding the box in my hands, hidden by my fingers, I see tears form in Joey's eyes. The moment is now.

* Joey's POV*

Oh my GOD!! He's really going to ask.. can I be imagining things

Seto looks deeply in my eyes and opens the box.

*Normal POV*

The music played on, as the two teens stared at each other. The diamond sparkled in the light. The setting was no where near feminine, but was quite masculine. Joey stared at it as tears formed in his eyes as he watched Seto mouth the words to the song.

"Share each day with me, each night, each morning
Say you feel the way I do
That's all I ask of you
Anywhere you go, let me go too
Love me, that's all I ask of you"

Joey allowed the tears to fall from his eyes freely. He watched as Seto smile as the music faded.

"Seto.. YES!!! I love you!! Yes, I'll marry you!"
