The Truth, Told
No More Us
Welcome to the 12th Chapter. Thanks for reading this far. I really
hope that everyone is enjoying it.
Chapter 12: The Truth, Told
After another few hours of partying and dancing, the crowd eventually
dies down to Jou, Kaiba, Honda, and Otogi.
"Why do we have to stay Dicey? I wanna go and have fun too." whi Hon Honda.
"You was the one that volunteered us to clean up. Not me." Otogi replies,
handing Honda a broom.
Kaiba and Jou clean up the kitchen while Honda and Otogi clean up the
living room.
Yugi curls up on the sofa and falls asleep.
"I hate to leave you all down here, but Yugi's sleepy. Thanks for the
great party guys." Yami says.
"No problem. I just hate that it didn't do anything to jump start his
memories." Honda says.
'I'm glad it didn't. I'm glad to have aibou like this once again.'
Yami picks up Yugi and carries him upstairs to their bedroom. He
lays him in the bed and removes his synthetic legs. Yami takes off
Yugi's cls ans and puts on his PJs. He looks at Yugi as he sleeps
soundly.
'I wish we can stay like this forever...'
Yami takes a shower and curls up next to Yugi. He kisses him on
the forehead.
'Goodnight, aibou. I love you.'
~~Next Morning~~
Yami awakens to Yugi tapping him. Yami turns and looks at Yugi,
who is now shaking.
"What's wrong aibou?" Yami asks as he sits up.
"I gotta go..." Yugi innocently says.
Yami hops out of bed and carries Yugi to the bathroom to do
his business. He then brings him back to the bed.
"I would have went myself, but I couldn't find my legs." Yugi
says.
"No problem, aibou." Yami says smiling. "Ready for your bath?"
Yugi nods. Yami goes into the bathroom and runs some bathwater. By
the time he comes back into the room to get Yugi,s als already naked
and sitting in the doorway.
"Can't wait for the bath can you?" Yami says teasingly.
"No. It took you too long. Did you put the salts in? They help to
ease the pain from the surgery."
"I put some in. Exactly one cup." Yami says as he picks up Yugi
from the doorway and eases him into the tub. "Call me when you're
finished."
Yami stands to walk out..."Yami? Can you stay in here with me?"
"Sure." he replies then lets the toilet seat down and sits on it.
'I remember when he used to ask me to keep him company during
baths. Sometimes he would ask me to bathe with him. But those
days are long gone now.'
"Yami? What's wrong?" Yugi asks as he notices a tear escape
Yami's eye.
"Nothing. It's nothing to be worried about. I was thinking about
when the doctor said that you would make a full recovery."
"It looks more like a sad tear Yami."
Yami smiles.
'Still can tell the difference when I'm happy and sad.'
"Yami? Can you tell me what I was like before I lost my memories?
Before the accident?"
"You...were the best person in the world. When you were 5, your
grandpa gave you a puzzle. It took you 8 years to complete it. You
worked on that puzzle day and night. When you finished, my
conscious was reborn inside of you."
"Huh?! Wait a minute...so you were inside of me?! Did I know?!"
"At first no. I would only show to play Yami no Games with people
who picked on you or any of our friends."
Yami continued to tell Yugi about them, up to the point before they
started dating.
"So...what happened Yami? Why did you pause? What happened
the day after I graduated high school?" Yugi asks.
Yami picks Yugi out the tub and takes him back into the room to
dry off.
"I asked you a question."
"What kind of question? Why are you so nervous all of a sudden?"
"I saw you writing in a journal a week or so before graduation. You
wrote how you really felt about me."
"What does that mean? I...I love guys?"
Yami nods. "You loved me. After graduation, I asked you out on
a date and you agreed. We had our 1st kiss, and then a few months
later..we started having sex."
"Sounds like we had an awesome relationship."
"It was...until..."
"My accident?"
"No. I started working at Kaiba Corp.""Tha"That's Kaiba's company?"
"Yes."
"What so bad about that Yami? He's such a great guy."
"The conditions I was hired under. I'm Chief Executive of
Gaming, which isn't bad. It's just the addition job I have to
do."
"What's that?" Yugi says as he attaches his synthetic legs.
"I'm required to have sex with Kaiba whenever he wanted
to."
Yugi said nothing for a minute. Yami was getting worried.
"It's all in the past now. So, why should I care. Besides, you're just
telling me this just to see what I would say." Yugi says laughing.
'I wish you would believe me. It's the h.' h.'
"I want to see what you do at Kaiba Corp. You've been off work
for over a year because of me. Maybe I can help you do
something."
'Even after I tell him all that, he can still smile at life, like
nothing ever happened.'
"Ok. We can go there after breakfast."
"Yay!" Yugi says jumping up auttiutting his shirt on.
They go downstairs and sit at the table while Mrs. Mutou fixes
them something to eat. They sit and talk and eat.
"Come on. Let's go Yami." Yugi says cheerfully then walks out
the back door.
Yami glimpses at Mrs. Mutou who just shakes her head at
him.
"He's going to get his memories back you know." she says to him.
Yami smiles then grabs his keys. He gets in his car and drives off.
