Ch 8: What's On Your Mind?
I’m trying to update much faster now so here is another installment… Even as I’m writing this fic… it’s changing by itself as I write it out… hehehe XD

Hold Me Down
Chapter 8: What’s on Your Mind?
*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*PREVIOUSLY...*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
A silent figure loomed over a sleeping figure and softly caressed the sleeping, smaller boy’s cheeks with a gloved hand. The shadow, disappointed that he couldn’t feel the other’s skin, took his gloves off and started to caress the other sleeping figure once again. After quite a while the shadow became bolder and decided to unbutton the few top buttons of the other’s shirt to caress the skin beneath them, but his plans were hindered as the sleeping figured stirred in his sleep. The shadow, wanting to take no more chances, vacated the room in time to see the boy’s friend down the hall on the way to the bluenette’s room.
“Soon you will be mine…” thought the shadow as he walked on with a smile that frightened those whom he passed by.

*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* AND NOW... *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
“I wonder what Sy is doing?” thought Jaden to himself as he spent yet another day in this stuffy but comfortable hospital bed. His foot still feels sore and its numbness is now up to his lower leg. The doctor who looked over him told him it’ll be fine after a few weeks but that didn’t stop him from missing his friends and his supposed ‘boyfriend.’ The only good outcome of this little (okay… not so little) incident is that the kid he has saved is doing a lot better and was let out of the hospital the day after the accident. However, this didn’t stop the kid from visiting him every day and trying to cheer him up for being bedridden… much like … now.
“Hello my lord!” shouted the kid gleefully. The kid had started calling him all kinds of honorifics all because he was saved by Jaden. Lord, Master, Ruler, Emperor… everything that the kid could think up, Jaden had been called by. Although Jaden didn’t mind it a bit that he was being honored, he still couldn’t get over the fact that this kid, who was practically a stranger, would do anything he asked of him.
“Ryo (1), stop with the nicknames and just call me Jaden. I appreciate it but it’s not needed,” said Jaden in a soft, calming voice.
“Oh! But I can’t I owe you my life and it’s my fault crossing without looking to get my ball.”
“It’s fine really, after all I’m alive too aren’t I?”
“That’s true but I still will do anything for you, my lord.” Jaden chuckled a bit but this kid reminded him of Syrus and he couldn’t help but utter his infatuation’s name underneath his breath but the other occupant of the room caught on and had promptly asked him, “Who’s Syrus?”
“Huh? You heard that?... well, he and I are friends…” Ryo, knowing that there seems to be something to be missing from Jaden’s story decided to pester the older boy until he gave up the information, but Jaden wouldn’t tell him anything more until he accidentally hit something right.
“You know… people who talk fondly someone usually are more than friends. I mean, I know my two dads weren’t always forthcoming with their relationship either before I came into their lives,” explained Ryo.
“Two dads?” asked Jaden in a confused tone. Surely he had seen the boy’s mother that day that he got in that accident… hadn’t he?
“Yap and I love them with all my heart too! Sometimes my mommy doesn’t like it if people find out because he thinks that people would use me against my dad.”
“You call one of your dads, mommy?”
“Hehehe… he doesn’t like it either but he says he doesn’t mind because even if I’m adopted, I could have very well just have come from him… he tells me all the time that I’m just as reckless as he was,” said Ryo with a slight chuckle.
“I see,” Jaden started, “to be truthful, I still don’t know whether me and Syrus are considered as boyfriends but I would most certainly like that… hold on, why is it that you can sound so wise and yet where was that wisdom when you were crossing the street?” implied Jaden in a slightly mocking tone. As the two chatted animatedly, in another part of town, Syrus and Hassleberry arrived to the mainland (Domino City) via a ferry from Duel Island.

“Where do we go from here now?” asked Hassleberry.
“We could go by my house and drop off our stuff before we head over to Jaden’s.” answered Syrus.
“Alright… Did Crowler mention if he was at home yet from the hospital?”
“Nope, all he said was to deliver the schoolwork at the house, and to go back in a couple of days.”
“But I really don’t want to go back yet.”
“I know what you mean, school is nice and all but it’s soooooooo boring most of the time!”
“Come on! You know you have Jaden 24/7 on that blue-haired head of yours!”
“You’re one to talk! You and Jim have been humping like bunnies and I didn’t even know anything about it… hehehe,” Hassleberry couldn’t help but blush a bit as Syrus teased him with his not so secret liaison any longer.
“Bah! You and Jaden aren’t far off from doing the same things! Hahahaha!” This time, Syrus couldn’t help but feel flushed as thoughts of him and Jaden in compromising positions flashed before him.
“We should get going now!” was all Syrus could say before stalking off in his house’s direction.

(1) I took the kid from Digimon… from the Tamers season he’s the one partnered with cyberdramon and digivolves to justimon. I’ve always liked this character… simple yet refined…
