Chapter 10: Day Five
Yesterday left me with more questions than anything. Who is this Yuki that mysteriously shows up everywhere we go? What is his true relationship between him and Jou-sama? But, what about the Pharaoh? Who is this friend that he misses so much?
I lay back and pull the covers over my head. It’s early. About 7am. I really should be getting up. Breakfast is at 8.
Yuki and I came back to the hotel instead of going to Kaiba Land. We had a nice and very satisfying oral fest between the two of us. Jou-sama was right; I bet Yuki does want to bury himself within me. The reverse goes also. I would love to go deep inside the caverns of my love.
I finally manage to roll out the bed and take a shower and put my Obelisk uniform on. Afterwards, I pick up the tentative schedule and look at it.
Day 5: 8am breakfast, 10am: Domino High School, Noon: Lunch, 2pm: Surprise.
So, I guess after the surprise, we’re free to do whatever. Most likely everyone is going back to Kaiba Land Theme Park.
I go downstairs to the cafeteria and eat breakfast with everyone else before our tourists for the day show up.
“Hi! I’m Hiroto Honda and this is Bakura Ryou.” Begins Honda-sama.
Honda-sama has on a blue school uniform with an unzipped jacket. His t-shirt is a simple white button-down shirt that he doesn’t wear tucked in his pants. Ryou-sama on the other hand kind of sticks out in a crowd. He has long, silver hair that is styled very similar to mine…well, my hair is similar to his. He has on a similar blue uniform, except it’s buttoned up and actually worn properly.
“Today we will be your tour guides through Domino High School.” Says Honda.
After a few more moments of meaningless chatter by the two on some of the history and background of Domino High, we follow them to the school.
Like most schools, it’s surrounded by a gate. On the bricks that surround the opening of the gates, the name of the school is written in Katakana and Kanji. We walk through the gates to the large courtyard of the infamous school. Domino High has three-stories and a roof-top hangout place for both students and faculty alike.
Honda-sama and Ryou-sama hold the doors open and we walk into the school and into the shoe room.
“Kaiba-kun has provided each of you with shoes to wear during your tour of the school grounds. I’m guessing since none of you have attended a regular high school, this is going to be kind of awkward for you. So look for the locker with your name. The names are in alphabetical order by family name.” says Honda-sama.
Everyone finds their locker and changes shoes. Afterwards, we are divided into four groups. One group goes with Ryou-sama, one group goes with Honda-sama, the third group goes with Anzu-san, and the fourth group, the group I’m in goes with Otogi-sama. Also in my group, is Yuki, Sho, Hayato, Asuka, Misawa, and Manjyome.
“The reason Kaiba-sama wants you to come here is because this is the high school we all graduated from, 5 years ago. My class consisted of some of my best friends, who are still my best friends to this day.” We walk down the 1st and 2nd years hallway before moving upstairs to the 2nd floor which is the 3rd years floor. “It is here where I first met Yugi, Jou, Honda, and Anzu.”
We stop in front of class 3-B and look in.
“We were 3rd years, juniors here at Domino High School. Being CEO of Black Crown, I had already known of Kaiba-kun at gaming CEO meetings. But I was excited to learn that he attended here, along with some of the best gamers and duelists in the city. So, I decided to transfer here from Domino Academy.”
“Do you know why Kaiba-sama came here instead of going to Domino Academy?” asks Manjyome.
“No one knows. During high school, Kaiba-kun acted as if he constantly had something stuck up too deep inside him. He was quiet, but very stuck up and obnoxious, especially when it came to Duel Monsters. We all tried to befriend him during that time, but it didn’t happen. About a year after graduation, Anzu, Jou, Honda, Yugi, and I decided to meet up and have a little reunion of some sorts. Little did we know that Kaiba-kun would come also. He was laughing and talking with us like he had been doing it all his life. Ever since, we’ve all been good friends.”
“Okay… So, what was a typical day for you in a regular high school? As you know Duel Academy focuses more on dueling and we have to take a lot of classes on the basics of dueling. We do take a lot of other classes such as English, Math, and Science, but in the end, they all relate to the game of Duel Monsters.” Asks Asuka.
“Good question Asuka-san. We started at 9:00am with lineups and morning announcements. Afterwards, we went to our classes where we stayed for our morning classes. During my Senior year, my morning classes were Science, and English. Then was lunch. We could eat inside the classroom, or go to the courtyard, or even eat on the roof of the school. After that were the afternoon classes. Mine were Math and then Club meeting. I was in the Art Club because I love to draw.”
We go up to the roof and walk around looking at the different views of Domino City.
“So, I figure that the ‘Hiro’ we met a couple days ago is Hiroto Honda.” A voice says from behind.
“Same here, Yuki.”
“It makes me wonder, why is Duel Academy set up the way it is? Did Kaiba-sama want to forget about his high school days? From the way things are set up, I wish Duel Academy was set up the same way.”
“Who knows, Yuki. This may send some students into second thoughts about attending Duel Academy after today.”
“Nah. If you really love dueling, then you wouldn’t care about a regular high school! If they didn’t want to attend here in the first place, then they wouldn’t have studied so hard to be accepted!”
“Oh, unlike some people I know…”
He laughs nervously. “It’s funny you mention that. I love dueling and attending Duel Academy is a dream come true! Also, I didn’t know that I would find the love of my life.” He says shyly.
“It was meant for you to attend Duel Academy.”
“You too, Ryo.”
We stand and look toward Kaiba Corp.
“So, do you have any idea about today’s surprise location?” I ask.
“Nope. Not the slightest idea. I wish I did know. That way I could have gotten a brochure or map of the place to scope out potential make-out spots. Or there is the option of going back to the hotel.”
“I agree with you on that one.”
Over the next 5 minutes or so, the other three groups join us on the roof of the school.
“Today’s surprise location is one of my favorite places in Domino City.” Begins Honda-sama. “Domino Arcade!”
Everyone cheers at the thought of going to a gaming arcade.
“The arcade holds a place in my heart. It is where my dream of someday becoming a famous dancer became more of a goal for me.” Says Anzu-san. “Also, it is here where Yugi used to spend his weekends, using up all the money he had left over from the week trying to master every game in the place. To this day, some of his high scores still remain. If you’re lucky, then you may see him in there, trying to top his own score.”
“Man that ‘King of Games’ title literally means the king of all games.” Yuki says jokingly.
“Yea, how can we ever compete with that?!” asks Sho.
“I don’t know. But ‘King of Duelists’ sounds good enough for me.” Says Misawa.
“Don’t you mean ‘Queen of Duelists’? Of course, that title is mine.” Adds Asuka.
“Well, you can have your ‘King of Duelists’ and ‘Queen of Duelists’ titles! I’m going to go to that arcade and knock off every high score the King of Games has in there and then when I defeat him in Duel Monsters, I will be the official King of Games!” Manjyome says with a suspicious evil laugh.
Honda, Anzu, Ryo, and Otogi escort us to Domino Arcade. I thought about how 100 students would fit into an arcade, but now that I’m here and inside, I see that it’s no problem.
Everyone scatters in every direction, hoping to find a game the King of Games has the top score on, or to find the master gamer himself.
I wonder around past the Dance-Dance Revolution* row and the Cruisin’ the World* row. (AN: Those two games do not belong to me!! DDR is a personal favorite and I like love the Crusin’ series! Cruisin’ USA is my favorite! Also, any other games mentioned do not belong to me either. So no suing allowed!!)
I settle down at Mortal Kombat. I pick Raiden as my character and the CPU chooses Sub-Zero. I decide just to do the marathon against all of the players.
I easily defeat Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, and Jax. During my 4th match against Barakka, just as I’m about to do a finishing move, someone sits down and fills in.
‘FATALITY’ comes across my screen, as the mysterious player easily comes back from behind and defeats me.
I stand up and walk to the other side to see who my opponent is.
“Yuki?” I say to the man with the black hat on his head.
He looks up for a moment. “Oh! Hello Kaiser-kun! I didn’t know I was playing against you or I would have let you finish Barakka off!
“No problem.” I say as I continue to watch him skillfully finish off the rest of the ladder. The boss at the end is Shang Tsung, the shape-shifting master. He easily defeats him and gains a high score. “You’re good at this game, Yuki.”
“Thanks. If I want to be like the King of Games, then I have to be good at every game I play.”
“That true.”
He enters his alias, ‘KGYM’ and it zips up to 2nd place, below ‘Yugi’. I notice that the leader-board has nothing but ‘Yugi’ and KGYM’ on it.
“I see you play this a lot.”
“Yea. I do. I’ve managed to knock a few ‘Yugi’ out of the Top 10. When I first started playing, his name was here 1-10. But my goal is to become the first person to knock the King of Games out of a top position. No one has ever done it.”
I take a closer notice of the dates that the King of Games has next to his name. Some of the scores are dated about 5-7 years ago, and others are more recent. The earliest ‘Yugi’ date I see is the #3 position, which is dated two days ago.
“So, I see that the King of Games has been in here recently.” I say pointing to his name and the date next to it.
“That was the day we were all at Black Crown Gaming! Something told me to come here instead!” Yuki says disappointedly.
“That’s ok, Yuki. Maybe he’s around here somewhere. Besides, I was wondering, what does your alias mean?”
“I use it cause someday, I Mushima Yuki will become the next King of Games! So KGYM means ‘King of Games, Yuki Mushima!” he says with a bit of arrogance in his voice.
Whatever the act is, he has it down to a t. I know that’s not what those initials really mean. Ok, I really don’t know him, so that’s what it could mean. But something in me does not really believe the guy sitting at the console.
“What game are you going to play next Kaiser?” he asks. “Do you want to try DDR?”
“DDR? The dancing game? No thanks. I’ll leave that to Asuka and the other girls at Duel Academy.” I say slowly backing away from him.
“Aww, come on Kaiser! Rumor is that you are already the Duel King at Duel Academy! That’s your toughest step! Now, all you have to do is to expand your horizons and play all games! The more you play, the better you will be! It is then when you master all of them, you will become the next King of Games. After me that is.” He says dragging me to an empty DDR game. We put in 100 yen and both select ‘Beginner’ mode.
After the four songs, we play again and go up in level to ‘Intermediate’, where we each breeze through those four songs with no problem. It went the same way with ‘Advanced’.
We lean on the railing to catch our breath before going on to ‘Expert’.
“So, I see you’re better than this than you were leading to be, Kaiser.” He says to me.
It is true, I do love Dance-Dance Revolution. Oh great and now everyone has gathered around us… So much for my little secret…
As we put in our 100 yen piece and pick ‘Expert’ mode, I notice a very agitated face reflecting in the screen. I know that’s no one but my Yuki.
“Shall we do ‘Battle’ mode, Kaiser?” asks the other Yuki.
“I don’t care. It’s up to you.”
He chooses battle mode and the toughest group of songs. The song starts and we breeze through the first one, both making A++ for perfects the entire way through. The same goes for the second and third song.
The final song, the bonus song is ‘Cowgirl’. It is said that this song is the hardest song on ‘Expert’, yet the easiest song on ‘Beginner’. The song lives up to its reputation as my feet feel like jell-o underneath me.
At the end of the song, the final tally is done and we both receive an A+ grade. We both have the 2nd best score, behind of course ‘Yugi’ whose final grade was A++. The two of us enter our name into the top scores list and manage to make it over to an empty table.
“Great game, Yuki.”
“Likewise.” He replies as he takes a sip of his drink.
I can feel someone looking at me…staring at my every move. When my eyes finally meet up with the ‘spy’, they are not happy.
“Yuki, I’ll be right back. I have to go and talk to someone.” I say as I finally feel my legs return to normal and I have enough strength to follow Yuki into the restroom. This time, remembering Jou-sama’s advice, we check each stall, making sure there’s no one in here.
“So, what was that all about? First you and him meet during ‘Ordeal of a Traveler’, then the thing at Domino Museum, and now the two of you are enjoying yourselves at DDR. Are you confused Ryo? I’m the Yuki you love, not him.”
Jealousy…I should have known…
“Yuki, don’t think of it that way! I love you and you know I do!”
“So, why does every time he appear, he’s somewhere in the vicinity of you?”
“If you didn’t run off so fast after you got into the arcade, then maybe that could have been us up there Yuki!”
“I didn’t know that you could dance like that.”
“It was a secret. When I was younger, I used to go to the local arcade and play that game. Okaa-san and Oto-san purchased the game for me and I used to practice it every night in secret. The only ones who knew about my obsession with the game were me and my parents. Because Sho wanted to be like me, I was advised to keep it in secret, and to allow Sho to just try to catch up to me in Duel Monsters, and not everything else I did.”
“But what about a few minutes ago? Sho was standing next to me not believing that was actually you standing up there.”
“He’s older now and knows better.”
“So, you’re not worried that he will try to copy you?”
“Of course not.”
“Be a better brother and try to teach him. Play with him and have fun with him. That way, the two of you could have mastered the game together.”
“Don’t tell me how to treat my brother Yuki!”
“As much shit as you put your brother through, I don’t even see why he still looks up to you!”
“Shut up, Yuki.”
“Tell me, which Yuki do you like more? Me or him?”
“What kind of question is that?! I love you Judai Yuki! That question should never be asked as long as you and I are together. Do you doubt my feeling for you?”
“I don’t. It’s just…I want to spend more time with you. When I see you spending it with others, it’s just that I am jealous. I wanted to just walk up to that Yuki and punch him for even taking up a minute of time you could be spending with me.”
I grab Yuki and embrace him as tightly, and lovingly as possible.
“I love you, Yuki. Don’t you ever forget that.”
He nods and embraces me back, nuzzling his face into my chest.
“Any time that you want me, all you have to do is come and get me. I’ll drop whatever I’m doing to come to you. Duel Academy hasn’t been the same since I saw you that day in your grey middle school uniform, defeating Cronos-sensei.”
“But, why did you wait so long?”
“The situation never arose for you and me to get together.”
He nods.
“I’m very grateful for finding that door at the Masquerade Ball, and finding Jou-sama and Kaiba-sama. If it wasn’t for them, I don’t think this moment would ever be happening. It would all be a dream.”
“Well, I’m glad to be a part of your dream Ryo. I hope neither you nor I wake up from it.”
I pull Yuki back a little and kiss him. He kisses back, entangling his long, slender fingers in my hair. He breaks the kiss and smiles.
“Let’s go back to the hotel.”
I nod and we walk out the restroom and out the arcade door and back to the hotel. Yuki and I go into my room, 2116. We somehow make it into the room, before we quickly strip each other and lock into a kiss, before wandering into my bedroom.
The two of us break the kiss, seeing a basket on the bed.
“Uhh, what’s that?” asks Yuki. “Do I have one in my room?”
I walk over to the bed as Yuki holds me from behind. I remove the black wrapping to reveal an array of various toys, lube, and other naughty things.
Yuki or I can’t believe our eyes as I pick up the small envelope from under the basket. I open the envelope and take out the letter.
“What does that say?” asks Yuki.
“‘Yuki and Ryo,
I hope that the two of you enjoy the goodies we got for you. We have eyes everywhere and they saw the way the two of you looked when you walked out the arcade. So, this is a better time than any to give you this.
Sincerely,
Seto and Katsuya.’”
“Based on the signatures, it looks as if Kaiba-sama himself wrote it…” suggests Yuki. “So, shall we try something out?” He asks as he picks up a vibrator and some lube.
This may turn into one interesting night. But then again, maybe not…
