Restore
Relate, Reflect, Reject
A Honda/Otogi Yaoi. When getting to know someone, you relate. Then you reflect.
Hopefully in the end, they will not reject. Pairings will show as story goes along.
Chapter 9: Restore
(Honda's Apartment) *Otogi's POV*
Honda has been so nice to me. So have the others. I've been out of school
this past week, trying to 'gain some weight'. Doctor's orders. I feel soo
much better now that Kenichi is out of my life. I went to his trial
yesterday, along with Honda, and he was sentenced to 99 years in prison,
with no parole or any other chance of getting out.
"Otogi? Is everything ok?" Honda asks.
"Yea. I'm fine."
"Ok. I was just checking. Yugi, Ryou, and Malik are coming over later. They
want to see how you're doing."
"Honda
"Y
"Yes?"
"I want to ask you something."
"What is it?"
"While I was ill, did you say something to me?"
"Something, like what?"
"Did you ask me.."
*DING DONG*
Damn, saved by the doorbell.
"Who is it?" Honda yells.
"Yugi."
"Ryou."
"Malik."
"Jou and Kaiba."
"I can speak for myself inu!"
"I'll show you an inu!"
Honda rushes and open the door before Kaiba and Jou get into a 'fight'.
"Come in. Have a seat. Jou, over there. I don't need the two of
you tearing up my apartment." Honda instructs them.
"Kaiba, what brings you here?" I ask.
"I came to see how you're doing." He replies.
"I'm doing much better. Your medical staff is awesome. Thanks
everyone for coming by."
"No problem." Yugi replies. "You're looking much better."
"Thanks."
"Are you coming back to school?" Malik asks.
"Next Monday. Honda's been getting all my work for me and a
few sensei been by to check on me and to help me with my work."
"I'm glad to see you're better. I gotta go now. t a t a company
to run." Kaiba says getting up and leaving.
We continue to talk until suddenly Jou hops up and leaves. Guess
he's riding with Kaiba.
"I wonder why Jou was in such a hurry to leave?" Ryou asks.
"I don't know. I'll ask him about it later." Honda replies, knowing
the exact reason why Jou was in a hurry.
"Hey, would anyone like something to eat?" Honda asks putting an
apron on.
"I love to eat, but my dad's cooking tonight. Don't want to spoil
the appetite." Yugi says.
"What are we having?" Ryou asks.
"Steak with mashed potatoes." I say.
"Count me in!" Ryou replies.
"Me too!" adds Malik.
"Well, I better be going. I really want to stay, but my dad'll go
bonkers." Yugi says walking to the door.
"Hey, aibou, I don't mind staying." an unfamiliar voice says.
What was that?!
"Who said that?" Honda says peeking from the kitchen.
"I don't know..." I reply.
Honda goes back to cooking.
"Otogi? I don't want to bring up your past, but how did you meet
Kenichi?" Ryou asks.
"We were childhood friends. I met him at the age of 6, during my
first day of school. He was always known as Kenichi for as long as I
can remember."
"Where are your parents?"
"They died a couple years ago in a plane explosion, just before I
finished with Dungeon Dice Monsters."
For some reason, I felt obliged to tell my life story to the two. I
don't know what motivated me, but I told them from the first time
I got the idea for DDM to the time Kenichi and I started dating,
to now, minus my true standing with Honda. I know he told me
that he loved me, but what kind of love did he mean? Friendship
love or Lovers love?
"Dinner's done!" Honda yells.
The three of us go to the kitchen and eat. Then Ryou and Malik
leave. So, once again Honda and I are alone.
"What was that you were about to ask me?" Honda says washing a
plate.
