Specter: R&R PLEASE!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yugi held Yami's hand as they walked down the sidewalk towards the library. He smiled and stepped through the doors, "come on, Yami. We'll find you a nice book."
"One has pictures?"
The shorter nodded, "yes one with pictures."
Yami giggled happily and followed Yugi into the large library. The painter led him down the isles which were packed with all different sorts of books. They went into the kids section and picked out some children books for the taller. The then went to a small couch and sat down. Yugi sat in Yami's lap, leaning against him and resting his head on the other's shoulder as he read to him from a Dr. Suess book.
Yami looked at the book and the pictures. He pointed to the creative animals, "red fish, boo fish," he said, reading the title.
Yugi nodded with a small laugh, "yes, that's right." He looked back at the book, continuing to read the text on the page. Once he finished the short, book he started the next.
"Winnie pooh!" Yami giggled, pointing at the bear.
The shorter laughed, "that's right." He smiled. Yami was very good at remembering things. He had only shown the taller Winne the Pooh once when it was on the television. "Do you want me to read it?" The other nodded. "One morning, Winnie-the-Pooh was on his way to visit his friend Piglet. Although Pooh's head was stuffed with fluff, he was a cheerful fellow--"
Yami broke out into a fit of giggles, "fluff," he whispered the words a few times, "stuff with fluff!"
Some of the people in the library turned and shot dirty glares in the two's direction. Yugi gulped. The last thing he wanted was to get in trouble. He put his finger to the taller's lips, "shh. You have to keep your voice down, we're in a library."
The red eyed male frowned and nodded, "okay." He wrapped his arms around Yugi's waist and listened as the shorter continued to read the storybook to him. He sighed as Yugi leaned against him, resting his head under his chin.
Once the smaller had finished reading the small stack of books, he stood up, "I'm going to find something for me to check out now. Do you want to wait here?" he questioned. The other nodded and he smiled, walking away.
Yami easily became bored of waiting, getting up, he looked around, trying to recall where the kid's section was. He began walking in the direction where he guessed it was location. He hummed to himself, scanning the bookshelves and looking at the different people passing. Some gave him funny looks when he waved at them, but he just shrugged it off with a simple, "meanie," comment. After a few minutes of walking he stopped, not recognizing the area he was in. Trembling, he looked around, "Yugi?" he whispered, hoping the petite man might be somewhere nearby.
~~~

Yugi flipped through a book on Egyptian art. Deciding he liked the book, he strode back over to the couch where Yami would be waiting. Only when he got there, there was only empty cushions. Panicking, he began searching around the bookshelves, "Yami?!" he called out, hoping the taller would hear his voice. "Yami?!"

"Be quiet! This is a library!" a woman hissed at him.

The tri-haired man, ran down the row, calling out the other's name. //where could he have gotten to?// he wondered.

~~~
Crimson eyes began to fill with tears as their owner stopped at a dead end. He fell to the floor, sobbing, "Yugi," he cried. "where Yugi?"
A brown haired man cautiously approached him, worry in his eyes, "are you okay, sir?"
Yami opened his eyes and stared at the man, "Where Yugi?! Where Yami's Yugi?!"
The taller male backed away slightly, "I don't know who Yugi is. But would you like me to help you look for him?"
The tri-haired man screamed, "Yugi! Where Yugi!" He slammed his fist into the bookshelf, causing half it's contents to spill on the ground.
The brunette knelt down and began to pick the books up. He gazed sympathetically at the shormalemale which he guessed by now how had some sort of mental disability, "there, there. I'm sure this...Yugi will come and get you." He placed the books back on the shelf and then helped Yami stand on his own two feet.
Yami screamed again, pushing the man aside and running back down the hall, yelling Yugi's name, tears pouring from his eyes.
~~~

Yugi stopped in his tracks, hearing Yami's cries. Turning his head, he noticed Yami barreling down a hallway, screamat tat the top of his lungs. Without hesitating, he took off in that direction, ignoring a librarian's yell at him to walk, not run. //Oh how could I leave him alone? I'm such an idiot!// he screamed at himself. Turning down the hallway Yami had, he stopped when he noticed Yami curled in a ball near a pile of fallen books, a librarian hovering over him, yelling.

"What in god's name do you think you're doing?!" she screamed at him.

Yami sobbed, "Yami want Yugi."

The librarian bent down and grabbed the man by the ear, standing him up, "look at what a mess you've made you inconsiderate cretin!"

"STOP IT!" Yugi hollered, "Don't touch him!" The two looked towards him and the woman sneered. The shorter man ran over to Yami, pushing the lady out of the way and taking Yami in his arms, lowering them both to the floor, "shh, shh, it's okay Yami. I'm here, I'm here. Don't worry."

Yami continued crying, burrying his face in the smaller's chest.

The librarian growled, "do you know how much damage he might have caused?! He already knocked over a afew bookshelves! I hope you plan on paying for it, mister."

"It wasn't his fault," Yugi said, defending the taller. "He didn't know where he was...he didn't know where I was and he was feightened."

"He's a psychotic moron and I don't ever want him to step foot in this library again. You too. I can tell you're a trouble maker," she pointed at Yugi, "now leave before you cause any more damage," she ordered, gesturing towards the door.

Yugi glared at the rude woman. He coaxed Yami to stand up and took his hand, leading him outside, "come on we don't need to stay here." He waved down a taxi which drove them back to the small hotel. The two then went up to their room.

Yami sniffed and finally spoke since they were at the library, "Yami sorry...Yugi mad?"

The violet eyed man shook his head, "no, of course I'm not mad. There is no need to be sorry. That woman was so obnoxious. She had no right to hurt you like that."

There was a knock on the door. Yugi blinked and stood up, walking to the door. //Who could that be?// he wondered. He opened the door and saw nobody there. Looking down, he noticed a dozen red roses sitting there on the doormat. He gasped, picking them up and smelling them. "Who could have...?" He stopped noticing a card placed in the middle of the flowers. He opened the card and smiled faintly.

Yugi,

I'm so sorry for being such a jerk to you. I will understand if you never

want to speak to me again, but please at least keep these flowers as a

reminder of just how much I still love you. You mean the world to me and

nothing will ever change that.

Signed with a kiss,

Seto

Yugi felt tears come to his eyes, "Seto," he whispered, hugging the flowers. He knew Seto would find his location...it was so simple for someone as technologivally advanced as the brunette. The little one found it sweet that he still cared enough to send him flowers...and he was relieved that the taller didn't hate him. He closed the door to the hotel room and walked over to the counter, setting the roses on it and also placing the card next to them.

"Yugi get flowers? Who from?" Yami asked, walking over and picking up the card.

The shorter snatched the card back and held it lovingly, "Seto," he whispered.

Yami felt jealousy biting at him. Seto had bought Yugi flowers? He hadn't given Yugi anything...would Yugi not like him as much now? He looked at the buquet with sad eyes. He had nothing to offer Yugi. Why did Yugi even stay here with him? It was obvious that the other loved Seto still. Turning, he walked over to the bed.

Yugi put the card down and went over to the taller male, wrapping his arms around his waist, "Yami what's wrong?"

Yami kept his eyes averted to the floor, "Seto give flowers Yugi...Yami give none..."

The painter smiled. So Yami was jealous, was he? He put a hand under the other's chin and tilited his head up, "hush, it's okay, Yami. You don't have to buy me anything to show me how you feel. I know your feel for for me and you don't have to worry, for they are returned." He placed a gentlss oss on Yami's lips, "just because Seto sent me flowers, doet met mean that I'll love him any more than I love you."

"Yugi love Seto?"

The shorter bit his lip. He knew Yami would ask him this and, in truth, he really didn't have an answer. Of course he still felt love for Seto, they had been dating for such a long time...the brunette had proposed to him...they were supposed to be married! He was nesuppsupposed to fall in love with Yami...that wasn't part of the plan when he brought the taller to the Kaiba Mansion to live with him. But it had happened, and he couldn't change that.

So now he loved both men equally and he, in the end, would have to choose between them. He would have to pick which one he loved more. He knew that. But would he be able to do it? Would he be able to break one of their hearts? Would he be able to live with one and without the other? day day, he would have to. He would have to make that choice. But he didn't want to. Oh by god, he was dreading the day he would have to make that decision.

And how could he choose between them? He loved them both, each for their own special reasons. Seto was strong, extremely handsome, and caring to those whom he loved. Yami was handsome and sweet but also very dependant; he needed Yugi. Seto could take care of himself. Yami couldn't. If Yugi ever were to leave Yami, he most likely wouldn't survive on his own.

Yugi sighed, looking up into scarlet orbs, "I stll do...but I love you too, Yami...I love you both so very very much. I..." he stopped, tears forming in his eyes, "I just don't know what to do anymore. I can't decide who I love more!"
i fri frowned. He didn't like the tears on Yugi's face. They didn't suite him well at all. Using his thumb, he wiped away the teardrops, "Yugi...no cry...no cry..."

The shorter shook his head, "you don't understand...I have to cry...it's the only way for me to let the pain out. I can't keep it in anymore..." He clutched the taller's shirt between his fists, "I don't know what to do...I'm so confused. I'm scared of making this decision...I won't be able to. ve yve you and Seto far too much to hurt any of you." He sniffed, "I don't know who to love..."

Yami smiled, his ruby eyes soft in the dimly lit room, "what choice Yugi make...Yami still love Yugi." The petite painter stopped his crying momentarily and stared up at the other, blinking slowly. The taller whiped the rest of his tears away, "no more cry...Yami love Yugi."

"I know you do." Yugi sighed. //I just wish you didn't. It would make this decision so much easier for me.// He sat up as the phone rang. He picked it up, "hello?"

"Mr. Muto?" a young female voice asked, "sorry if I disturbed you, this is Kyoko at the front desk. You have a call from a Seto Kaiba. Do you wish to answer it?"

Yugi hesitated a moment before nodding, "y-yes I do," he said into the reciever. Yami cocked his head to the side, wondering who was on the telephone.

"I'll connect you."

There was a beep and Seto's voice came from the other ef thf the line, "Yugi? Is that you?"

The short male nodded, "ye-yeah. It's me," he replied shortly, twisting the phone cord around his index finger.

"How are you?"

"I'm fine, and yourself?"

"I'm okay..." the brunette paused before adding, "I miss you. It's lonely, especially at night."

Yugi felt tears in his eyes. He let out a small laugh, "I-I got your flowers."

"Do you like them?" Seto asked, "I had to use my comps tos to track down your location, which was fairly simple. I...I just wanted to show you that I still cared and that I'm sorry for being such an ass."

"They're beautiful, Seto," the small one answered, smiling, "I love them." He blushed, "and I forgive you for...hitting me..."

Seto sighed in relief, "thank you, Yugi. But you must understand how sorry I am. I am killing myself with regret. I miss you so much. My life is empty without you...it's like I have nothing, no motion ton to live."

"What about Mokuba?"

"Mokuba's grown up, he doesn't need me anymore," Seto said dryly. "But I need you. I need you so much that every breath I take makes the pain increase because you're not here."

Yugi sadly stared at the phone, "I'm sorry, Seto. But Yami needs me too...I can't stay with you if you're going to hurt him, no matter how much I still love you."

"But Yugi--"

"--Shh, Seto. Just give me some time. You hurt me a great dend, nd, even though I forgive you, I'm still not ready to come back. I'm not ready to choose yet," the petite man interrupted.

The CEO made a questioning noise, "choose? Choose what?"

Yugiffedffed, choking back his tears, "choose who I love more," he explained. "I'm not ready to choose between you and Yami." He turned his saddened lilac orbs on the figure on the bed, "I know I'll have to, but I can't. Not yet, at least." He sighed, "Seto, I really should go."

"No, Yugi, don't go! I want to hear your voice! Please don't just hang up now. We can resolve this! Let's talk it over. We can compromise!"

The shorter shook his head, "no. This isn't a compromising situation. It's either one way or the other." He exhaled again, "I'll see you around. Goodbye Seto...I-I love you still." He hung up the phone before he could get a reply from the brunette. He then fell back on the bed, sobbing.

~~~
Seto st at at the phone in his hand. The dial tone had been sounding for at least three minutes. Sighing sadly, he pressed the 'off' button and put it back on the charger, "Yugi..." he whispered, looking out the window and into the darkening sky, "I miss you. My heart aches when you're not close." He turned to leave the room when suddenly the phone rang. His spirits brightened. Maybe it was Yugi calling to reconsider and come home to him! He picked up the phone, "Kaiba residence?"answanswered hopefully.
"Is this Seto Kaiba I am speaking too?" a voice asked from the other end.
Seto raised an eyebrow, "yes. And who might this be?"
"O-oh, so sorry, Mr. Kaiba. My name is Zahir, Zahir Hassan. My wife, Kalila, and I were calling on behalf of the letter we recieved from you. The letter said you know the whereabouts of our missing son, Atemu."
"Ask him if our baby is safe!" a woman's voice yelled.
"Calm yourself, Kalila. I'm sure Mr. Kaiba is taking care excellent care of Atemu." The man caughed, "I'm sorry, Mr. Kaiba, my wife is very worried, as am I. It's been ninteen terrible years since the loss of our beloved son. May I ask if he is well?"
The brunette bit his lip. Was Yami well?! The man was mentally ill for Christ's sake! He put on a fake smile, "he is fine. A handsome, sweet young man and a quick learner," he said, repeating what Yugi had told him so many times.
There was shuffling and a woman talked this time, "where is he now? Where is my Atemu?! I want to speak with my baby!"
The CEO sighed, "he isn't here right now. Why are you calling, anyways?"
"We wanted to know how our son was," Kalila huffed, "we haven't seen him for nineteen years, dammit! I wan't to hear his voice." She coughed, "we've come to Japan to retrieve him. I want my son home with me. I want my Atemu back in my arms."
Seto smiled. So Yami's parents did care after all. Well, at least he was going where someone loved him, "where are you staying?" he questioned.
"At the Ramada inn. It's located at the end of Domino Avenue."
The brunette man nodded, writing the information down, "when did you arrive?"
"Just this morning," the woman replied.
Seto nodded once more, "then I shall give you one day to recover from the flight. The eighteenth, Friday, I'll send one of my limousines to pick you up and bring to mto my mansion. Here you can be reunited with your son once more."
The woman gasped and let out a loud cry of happiness, "Oh, Mr. Kaiba! You do not know how gratefull I am! You will be blessed by the gods for your kindness! --Oh, Zahir we can be with Atemu again. --Oh Mr. Kaiba, thank you so, so much! You have no idea how long I've waited to hold my little Atemu in my arms once more."
"Well, you'll see him soon. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have mork to do."
"--Oh I'm so sorry! Thank you again so much. We are eternally gratefull." She hung up the phone.
Once again, Seto placed it back on the charger. "At least Yami will be out of the picture soon. That will save Yugi from ever having to choose between us."
~~~

Anzu Mazaki sat on her bed, watching American television. She smiled, painting pink polish on her nicely groomed nails. The telephone rang and she sat up, using her dry hand to pick up the reciever, "Anzu Mazaki speaking," she said.

"A-Anzu, it's me, Yugi," a weak voice on the other end greeted her.

Her eyes widened and she clicked off the TV, "Yugi, what's wrong? You sound so sad."

Yugi sniffed, "oh Anzu...everything's fallen apart. It's terrible!"

"What are you talking about, Yugi? Did you and Seto get into a fight."

The male let out a cry, "w-worse than that." He sniffled, "I-I've fallen in love with someone else...someone who Seto hates...and-and now I love both of them equally and I don't know what to do!"

Anzu's azure eyes widened and she frowned, "oh Yugi...I'm so sorry to hear that. Who is this person?"

"Remember I called you once last week and told you I was visiting someone at the mental institution?"

"Yes."

"W-well...I..." Yugi broke down into sobs, "I didn't mean to...but he was so sweet. So gentle and innocent. He loved me, he needed me. I couldn't help but fall in love with him!"

"Well who is _him_?"

The shorter hiccuped, "his-his name is Yami...Anzu...I'm so confused. I don't know who I love more. I love both of them and they both love me. What do I do?"

The brunette thought a moment, "have you tried maybe getting Seto and Yami to like eachother as well?"

"No...that would never work out. Seto despises Yami...and Yami only loves me, or so he says."

"Well Yugi," Anzu began with a nervous laugh, "that's quite a fix you've put yourself in. But if it where me," she paused and thought, "I would think long and hard about both of them. Ask yourself questions about both of them. Who can make you smile in your foulest mood?--"

"--Yami--"

"Who would you give your life up for?"

"--Yami--"

"Who could you not imagine life without?"

"Y-Yami..."

The ballet dancer grinned, "well then, I think you can figure out what to do next."

"No," Yugi said, "but I love Seto so much too. We've been dating for so long...and I miss him so much. I love them both equally."

Anzu frowned, "do you really? Do you really love them both equally, or are you just telling yourself that so you won't feel as guilty?" She sighed, "Think about it Yugi. You can't love two people equally. There's a favorite and from those answers, my guess is that it's this Yami fellow."

"B-but...I love Seto, as do I love Yami."

"Well...who would you wrather spend the rest of your life with?"

There was a silence. Yugi finally spoke, his tone sad, "thank you, Anzu. I have to go."

The brunette smiled faintly, "I'm sorry this had to happen. But remember, just think about it, okay?"

"Alright."

Anzu clicked the phone off after hearing him hang up. "I'm so sorry, Yugi," she whispered, looking outside her window sadly.
