I do not own Yugioh, and make no money from this fanfiction. This was also a Request, so I also do not own the basic idea.
Dance puppy Dance.
Places like this, earned money fast. It was the best shot in the dark that Joey had, it was a dance club. He was lucky, the boss of the place would only let her people strip down to their form fitting booty shorts, and their bra's if they were girls...
But he was a man, and he was stuffed inside his own pair of the shorts, and feeling far less confident then he had a few hours ago. All he wanted to do was turn and run from this place, from everything, but then he remembered why.
He was doing this to help his neighbor make her rent quota. She'd stayed up late at night for the past few months, helping him get through his college classes, and she had become a good friend to him. And yet, an accident had left her sick and stuck in bed for the next few weeks, unable to work, and unable to make the rent they both had to pay.
It wouldn't be too bad if it was just her, he could have brought her into his apartment, and done it that way... But she had her 15 year old daughter, and 12 year old son as well, and that many people would put him in violation of his lease.
The loud music, and flashing lights was enough to drive anyone crazy, but Joey found himself calming as he thought more and more about the situation. Whenever he was hungry, she would be there with a meal, and she was almost like a mother to him as well as to her own kids.
She wasn't too much older then him, but she was a great mother. She was warm, and loving, but now, she was hurting to where she couldn't take care of her kids, or pay rent on the apartment... That's why his regular job as a clerk wasn't enough right now. That's why he felt so determined, and why he wanted to do this so much.
He was about to step up for his turn, when the owner of the place stopped him. He'd seen that woman once in passing, but never had he been so scared of anyone in his life.
She was in her late 40's or so, with short cut brown hair.
"I'm going to put you to work as a Host instead. You're a lot better looking then this lot with your clothes on. Follow dog." She said, as she turned on her high heeled shoes and walked away.
The tall, blond haired man sighed in relief as he followed her. How bad could work as a Host be after all? He got to sit and talk with girls, and drink his heart out...
It wasn't until he saw his first customer that he wished he had the ability to burst into flames, and vanish into ash.
"So, you two do know each other..." The woman's tongue clucked disapprovingly. "I thought you two would enjoy one another... Use him as you see fit, but when you're done, give him a decent tip." The door was shut and locked, as Joey's heart began to pound inside his chest. He hadn't seen Seto Kaiba since High school...That was three years ago.
"Why did..." Joey began, but he was cut off by the taller male standing and stalking towards him.
"She know to bring you here? A few years ago, I sent out a photo, searching for you... after you left without telling anyone." He said, as he backed the slightly shorter male up against a wall, pinning him there as he looked down at him.
"Where have you been...?" He asked, almost tenderly as he turned Joey's head to look at his eyes, and then he couldn't help himself. Emotions from the past came back in a burning flame as he kissed the other deeply, and heatedly. It took a light shove from Joey to stop it, as Seto paused, why was Joey looking away like that.
"Joey..." He began to say something when Joey cut him off.
"Go away okay? I... I can't..." He turned out of Seto's grip and fled a few feet away from him, his back facing Seto who looked completely stunned.
He and Joey had come to an understanding, and they had acted on it for the better part of two years, then Joey had just left. Yugi and the other's had known where he'd run off to, but they'd been asked to keep Seto in the dark. He had to find Joey on his own if he really wanted to find him...
"So, I'm not good enough for you anymore, but you can peddle your flesh for anyone else?" Seto asked, his voice becoming dark and demanding, as he grasped Joey's wrist, turning him around quickly.
"You think I'm not..." Seto's words broke off instantly at the look on Joey's face, and he quickly embraced his crying dog. "What happened... why did you run away from me?"
"I ..can't tell you..." He whispered, holding onto Seto tightly, burrying his face into his neck as he clung to him tightly. "I had to get away...and never go back again..."
"You've been going to college around here... Why not back with Yugi and the others?" Seto asked gently, rubbing the other's back.
"And why work in a place like this?"
"Because, right now Melody can't work... and she's been so kind to me I have to help her out somehow.." Seto had never heard of a Melody before, so he thought for a moment it was who Joey had run off with, but before he could speak and hurt his pup, the quick talking dog continued.
"When I was struggling in school, she helped me. She even made sure I ate a good meal every night...like a mom..." He said as he shook his head. "She got hurt because of me, she was out looking for me when it happened, I know it! It was my fault!" He said as he tried to hold in the tears, but he couldn't. They went streaming down his face.
"Joey... you're not making any sence... calm down okay?" Seto asked, he was never that good with dealing with emotions, so all he could do was hold his pup close to him, offering comfort until Joey told him everything.
He'd run away from Seto's house, and come to this town, many miles away from his home town, and found himself a job and a cheap apartment. Once he'd gotten things together, he started to go to school, but then his grades had come back awfully, and he was in danger of losing his account with the school.
Melody and her two kids lived next door to Joey, and one night, the younger of the two, her son, James, had run into Joey while he'd been carrying his groceries up to his own apartment, and everything had been ruined. To make up for her son's rude behavior. Melody had Joey come over for dinner, and everything went from there.
She became his tutor, his cook, and the one who did his laundry along with her own and the kids...
Then, a week ago, he'd been caught up at school, and hadn't been home on time. So she had gone out to look for him, worried for his safety, and she'd become the victim of a brutal beating for what was in her purse, just 14 dollars. While she was out of the Hospital, she was still unable to go to work, and she had no way to get the money to cook food for her family, or make the rent...
"So I tried to get an advance in work, and then I couldn't... so I tried to find another way, and I heard about the dancing here, and the hosting, but you had to dance before you became a host, unless you were impressive, and I'm not so I thought dancing would be okay and-"
"Hold it pup...take a deep breath and calm down..." Seto ordered, as he sat back on the sofa in the private room of the Black Dragon's Cafe... A notorious place for the male dancers, and the beautiful hosts and hostesses that would serve tea and liquor along with their good looks.
"We'll figure this out... I can help... I promise." He assured as Joey looked up to him, hope in his eyes that made Seto smile himself.
"But... I.."
"You ran away, so now I have to put you on a leash pup...and teach you to tell me if there's ever something wrong." He said, leaning down to lick Joey's ear teasingly.
Hearing Joey's sharp intake of breath, Seto smirked..this would be a perfect greeting after such a long time apart.

A/N: If you can follow the story line, Joey ran away from Seto, despite the two of them being lovers. Joey's stayed hidden for two years, in which he met a young mother named Melody and her kids James, and ((though I didn't give her name yet)) Audrey. They helped Joey, and he helped them.
Melody got hurt, looking for Joey when he didn't come home on time, and Joey blamed himself so he went to work at a place like the Black Dragon.
Unlike most people, Kisa, the owner of the Black Dragon, never forgets a face when it comes up in a missing person's poster, since sometimes they show up at her place, looking to earn a quick buck.
When she first saw Joey, she let him sign up to be a dancer, but later on, she remembered his face, called Seto, and had him wait for Joey in a private room, then got him inside there, and locked them in. So yeah.... I hope that was all clear. More story and smexings coming at yah!
