Title: More than Words
Pairing: (main) Kaiser/Ryo (Zane) and Judai (Jaden) (appearances by: Kaiba/Jou)
Other Characters: Sho (Syrus), Hayato (Chumley), Asuka (Alexis), Manjyome (Chazz), Cronos-sensei (Dr. Crowler)
Warnings: Yaoi, somewhat of an Alternate Universe
Setting: Duel Academy (main) and various places in Domino City
Misc: This is my very first fic involving GX characters. So bear with me and wish me well!
Chapter 1: The Crush (All POV’s will be from Kaiser’s)
I don’t know how long it had been… well actually I do know. The exact day, time, no the moment I saw him. Judai Yuki. It’s weird that I Marufuji Ryo, the best duelist at Duel Academy, would have a crush on this brown-haired Osiris slacker.
For the past year and a half, I’d been trying to find a way to tell him how much I care for him. But, I do have an image to keep. I know a lot of people would love to see me together with Asuka, but she’s just an associate… No, she’s a close friend.
My baby brother, Sho is so lucky. He gets to spend so much time with Judai. To watch him sleep, eat, talk, walk, shower… I know Sho doesn’t like Judai the same way I do. Never would I tell him about my secret crush. I’ve thought about ways to get with him, but if I suddenly began to hang out with my brother, it would raise too much suspicion.
As close to Judai as I can get is right where I am now… Sitting in my bedroom window, looking towards the Osiris Red dorm.
“What is it with you always staring towards the Osiris Red dorm?”
I jump a bit, startled at Asuka’s intrusion.
“Asuka, you should knock before entering into my bedroom.”
“Yea, but you don’t mind.” She says as she walks next to me and looks out the window.
I’m not sure if Asuka has any idea about my love for Judai…
“Judai is dueling Misawa later today.”
“Oh, Really?” I say trying to hide the enthusiasm in my voice.
“Are you going?”
“Maybe. I would love to see Misawa sweep the floor with Judai.”
“Kaiser! Why would you even say something like that about Judai! You know he almost defeated you in a duel.”
“Almost Asuka. Almost.”
“So, Kaiser, who are you taking to the ball?” Asuka asks as he slides closer to me.
“I don’t know if I am even going.”
“It’s your last ball here at Duel Academy.”
“And your point is?”
“It’s a masquerade ball.”
“And you point is Asuka?”
“Ugh! Kaiser! Why do you make everything so difficult?” she yells as she stands to her feet. “I’m going to watch Judai and Misawa’s duel. See you later!”
She leaves me and once again my full attention goes back to Osiris Red.
“Judai…” I find myself muttering as I watch him, Sho, and Hayato walking towards the dueling arena. I guess that’s my cue to leave also.
I leave my room and go downstairs to the 1st floor dueling arena and take my usual place in the standing area behind the seats.
Their duel is intense as Misawa has found a way to literally shut down Judai’s deck.
“It looks like your wish is coming true Kaiser.”
My true wish is to be with Judai.
“…to summon E-Hero Flame Wingman! Also I activate the field spell, Skyscraper! Now Flame Wingman, attack with Skydive Scorcher!” yells Judai as the attacks defeats Misawa. “And that’s game!”
Great job, Judai.
“Looks as if he spoiled your moment, eh Kaiser?”
“Everyone gets lucky.”
“So, you’re still calling Judai’s skill, luck?”
“I never said that.”
Asuka and I stick around as I mainly watch Judai and she watches me.
“Hey nii-san! Wasn’t Judai great?” my brother Sho says to me as he, Hayato, Misawa, and of course Judai walks by me.
“Nice job, Judai.” I whisper, hoping no one heard me.
Judai stops and turns around.
“Wow, Sho! I feel honored! Your brother just gave me a compliment!”
Just my luck…
“Ryo-kun gave a compliment?! I got to call okaa-san and tell her!”
Only my brother and my parents call me by my true name, Ryo. Everyone else calls me by the nickname I’ve earned over the past four years…Kaiser.
“Come on guys! Let’s go to Ra Yellow and eat! See you later Ryo!” Judai says as he and the others quickly leave.
“Woah, he just called you by your true name and you didn’t get mad?! What’s wrong with you Ryo?”
No…I actually like the sound of my name from his lips. Someday Judai, I will have you screaming my name in pleasure!
“I have things to do Asuka. See you later.” I say walking away from her and going back to my room.
I will have you, Judai Yuki! I guarantee it!

Yada, yada, yada. There’s the intro chapter. Things will get much more interesting in the chapters to come. :) As I stated before this is my first GX pairing, so please don’t flame me…please… But please review. I do accept constructive criticism, but just coming out and saying “This sucks.” Is highly not recommended. So please review and I’ll see ya in Chapter 2!
