Yugi Muto had everything. In his early teenage years, he was crowned the King of Games and excelled in the card game, Duel Monsters. He was the smartest boy in school, graduating from Domino High in the top of his classes. Now, at the age of twenty, he was on his way to fulfilling his dream of becoming a painter with nearly al the the most respectable universities for the arts in Japan seeking him for a student. Not only that, but just after graduation he was asked out by rich, handsome, and powerful Seto Kaiba.
He and the brunette had become inseparable…even Seto’s younger brother, Mokuba, thought of Yugi as an older sibling.
Yes, Yugi had everything he could ever want, and he was about to get even more...

~~~`
Yugi and Seto were sitting in a secluded area of the most expensive restaurant in Domino City--The Blue Palm-- in order to celebrate their two year anniversary.
The brunette stared down affectionately at the smaller, reaching over and taking his hand in his much larger one, “Yugi…” he whispered.
The shorter looked up, blinking slowly up at the other, “what is it Seto?” he asked, taking a sip of his Pepsi.
The CEO squeezed the boy’s hand, “Yugi….I wanted to take you here, where we had our first date, because I wanted this evening to be special.”
The amethyst eyed teen looked puzzled. He placed a piece of coconut shrimp into his mouth and chewed slowly before averting his gaze back to his boyfriend, “and it is Seto. It’s wonderful.”
Seto smiled, leaning forward slightly, “Yugi, you know you mean the world to me? I would be lost if you were ever to leave...which is why I have to make sure we can stay together forever.”
Yugi, again, was confused but nodded anyways, “Seto I would never leave you, you know that. I love you more than anything in this world...and Mokuba, you know I love him too. I would never walk out on you. You two are my only family now, since my Ji-chan died... not to mention that you happen to be the love of my life.”
The azure eyed man grinned, standing and walking over to the boy’s chair.
“Seto what are you...?”
The taller placed a hand to the shorter’s soft lips to silence him. He then reached into his suit pocket and took out a small black velvet box, “Yugi these two years we’ve been together...they have been the happiest of my life...” Yugi nodded, about to say something but Seto stopped him by continuing to speak, “I wish to be together with you forever, to always experience such happy unforgettable moments with you. I want us to never be apart...Please, Yugi, you do not know how overjoyed I was when you accepted to be my boyfriend. Now,” he paused and opened the box, revealing a silver ring with a large cluster of diamonds in the middle.”
Yugi gasped at the side of the ring, his violet eyes growing larger, “Seto...” he breathed out.
The brunette took out the ring, holding it in front of the other’s ring finger, “please, make me the happiest man on earth by accepting this ring and becoming my husband, Mr. Yugi Kaiba, so that we may never part and really truly be together forever?”
The tri-haired teen couldn’t believe it. Seto Kaiba was actually proposing to him! He had dreamed of the day this would happen, and now that it was happening...he was so shocked and excited that he couldn’t even form words.
“Yugi...?”
The smaller smiled, tears in his eyes as he threw his arms around the blue eyed man’s neck, screaming ‘yes, YES!’ as he cried.
Seto released the breath he had been holding. He took Yugi’s hand and slipped the engagement ring on the appropriate finger. He hugged his new fiancé happily, feeling tears form in his own eyes and fall silently down his cheeks. And that was something. Seto Kaiba never cried.
Never.
From the nearby tables, gasps were heard as well as many whispers.
“Isn’t that the sweetest thing you have ever heard, Loretta?!” a fat woman from the table next to the pair said to her friend.
Another from a table not to far squealed, “Oh I remember when you proposed to me, Dan. You were so romantic back then, what happened to you?” This was followed by, “Ah, Maria, would you give it a rest!” And then, “you’re such a jerk! I don’t know how I’ve been able to put up with you for so long!”
When the brunette and tri-haired boys pulled apart, camera flashes from all different directions greeted them. Seto hadn’t expected any less. After all, he was the most wealthy man in the whole of Domino City and he had just proposed to, well, basically a nobody. It was definitely front page of the newspaper material.
Yugi, on the other hand, was stunned that something as private as his boyfriend proposing to him would be aired on probably all the nine-o-clock news shows that evening. Even if Seto was rich, it was the same as any other couple’s proposal.
~~~`

News of Seto Kaiba’s proposal to a budding artist, Yugi Muto spread throughout Domino City like wildfire. All around them shouts of, “Mr. Kaiba! Mr. Kaiba! May I have a word?” were heard as the couple walked to a sleek black limousine which was pulled in front of the Blue Palm restaurant.

The brunette glared at the people around them, “This is not a free show. I suggest you leave us be!”

Yugi smiled; glad his fiancé wasn’t giving any information to the press. The last thing he wanted was for the date of their wedding and honeymoon location to appear in magazine articles.

“Come on, get inside the limo, Koibito,” Seto whispered to Yugi who nodded and slid into the long black vehicle. The brunette slammed the door after him himself got into the car.

“Where to, Master?” the chauffer asked.

Seto looked questioningly down at Yugi who answered quietly, “um...home would be nice.”

The brunette nodded, “just take us home please,” he said.

The chauffer started the car, “yes, master. Home it is.”

Yes, Yugi Muto had everything.

Until he met the one who had nothing.

Red lights flashed through the hallways and rooms of The Complex – an institution for experiments and also a housing center for the mentally ill. Red lights were an alarm. An alarm that usually only meant one thing.

Someone had escaped.

Again....

Guards fled down the hallways, blocking all sector exits and practically putting the whole Complex on High Alert.

The reason it was on high alert was because of the one who had escaped. Everyone knew who had tried to get out. It was 666, the spiky-haired rule breaking man who had lived in the complex since he was two years old. He was called 666 because of his defiant personality. 666 was the only inhabitant in the complex without a real name.

666 was the main person that the doctors at the complex used on their experiments. He was their favorite subject. Not only could he not speak against his treatments since nobody taught him how, but he was crazy and the doctors loved to work on his mind as well as trick and confuse him whenever possible.

The story behind 666 was that he was left on the door of the complex at the age of two years. When he was little, he was hyperactive and normal. As he grew older, he started showing signs of being mentally ill. He couldn’t speak, but he would make ways to show the supervisors that looked over his sector that he saw things that weren’t really there. He, with the little words he knew, would mumble to himself. Eventually, he became violent and would currently lash out at anyone who came near him. He had even bitten a young girl who had come to visit him.

He supervisors, to make sure he didn’t harm anyone else, stuck 666 on a leash and locked him in a windowless room on level 13 of the complex...the level where nobody worked. He was given food through a slot in the door. He never got any visitors and was only allowed to go out of the dark lonely room when hey had to do experime Whe When he had to go to the bathroom, three guards would escort him to the one down the hall and they would stay in there with him to make sure he didn’t hurt himself or anything. Most of the times, by the time the guards got to his room to escort him, he had already gone on the floor.

666 was treated like an animal. Exactly like an animal. But nobody really cared. He had no friends, all he people at the complex thought he was insane. The supervisors, patients, guards, and ors ors would mock him whenever they saw him being escorted somewhere. Nobody, it seemed, cared for the poor boy. His own parents left him to die. He had no one, nothing.

He was nothing.

Until the one who had everything walked into his life...
