Chapter 1
"The Moon, she hangs like a cruel portrait
soft winds whisper the bidding of trees
as this tragedy starts with a shattered glass heart
and the Midnightmare trampling of dreams
But oh, no tears please
Fear and pain may accompany Death
But it is desire that shepherds s ces certainty
as We shall see..."
She was divinities creature all right. A queen of snow far beyond cre. re. An
Egyptian nightmare by the name of Zenith. My companions and I fell prey to
her feminine charms and predatory guile and she sucked us dry. The exotic
seductress spun her web of enchantment and Marik, Bakura and I walked right
into it. The queen of heaven drank our life's blood, then bade us drink from
hers. I transformed from a man, into a creature of the night. Marik and Bakura
met the same fate. Together, we killed her for what she had done to us.
That was 1000 years ago.
"Dense macabre 'neath the tilt of the zodiac
Now brighter stars shall reflect on our fate
What sick nativities will be freed when those lights burn black?
The dark side of the mirror always threw our malice back..."
It’s the year 2003. My family and friends, all dead. Of course, they died hundreds
of years in the past. You’d think I’d be over it by now. Marik and Bakura thought
it a great joke that I should be so discontent. But honestly, I know there is more
to life than this.
I am sitting at my writing desk, recording my thoughts in my journal. This is my
57th journal. The rest I filled up over the years are sitting in boxes back home
in Egypt. Funny that I should think of Egypt as home, when that is where my life
ended, and this.... monstrous existence began.
I put down my pen and rubbed my eyes. I was so tired.
“We’re going hunting.” Marik stated.
I turned to face him. He leant against the doorframe, clad in black leather pants,
a black shirt and a black trench coat.
“In daylight?” I replied.
“Yeah. We’ll be all right. You’re not going to come with us?” Marik asked.
I shook my head.
“Are you ok Yami?” Marik continued.
“Yes, I'm fine. Don’t worry about me.” I replied, turning back to my journal.
I heard Marik sigh.
“All right, we’ll be back in a couple of hours.” He said.
Marik turned and walked out.
“Hey Marik.” I called.
He poked his head back in the door.
“Be careful.” I said.
Marik rolled his eyes.
“Like I said, we’ll be fine. We can take care of ourselves.” He laughed.
“That's what I'm worried about.” I mumbled.
I returned to writing in my journal. It always enraged me that I should be lowered
to the level of a pair of common thieves. At the time of my transformation I
was pharaoh of Egypt. Look at me now; companion to the two most notorious
tomb robbers in the whole of Egypt. It was insulting. Lucky for them they never
teased me about it. I would rip them apart.
I threw down my pen. I was in no state to concentrate now; my thoughts had
put me in wor worst mood. I got out of my chair and shrugged a big fluffy jacket
on over my dark red shirt and black jeans. I walked out of the house into the
bright sunlight.
The weirdest thing about being vampires was that we could walk in daylight.
The sun didn’t affect me in the slightest. I set off in a random direction and
started walking rather quickly. I didn’t pay any attention to where I was going,
until I spotted Bakura and Marik leaning over a waist high metal fence.
I stalked over to them.
“What are you doing?” I growled.
“Yami. Look.” Bakura replied, pointing toward a single story building.
I looked at it. ‘Domino High School’ a sign on the front read.
“Yeah? It’s a school. So what?” I replied.
Marik shook his head.
“And you were pharaoh?” He laughed.growgrowled at him menacingly.
“No, over there. In between the buildings.” Bakura continued.
I followed his line of vision and my gaze fell upon a group of teens. A tall,
skinny blonde boy that was fawning over a taller brunette and a raven haired
boy that was talking to a shorter brunette girl. There was nothing special
about them. Well.... the tall brunette boy had definite sex appeal.
“What about them?” I asked.
“Did you see him?” Bakura countered.
I sighed.
“Who?” I replied.
“He’s gone!” Marik cried.
“Who? What are you imbeciles talking about?” I demanded.
Bakura turned to me.
“There was a boy that looked just like you. Right over there. I swear it.” He stated.
I shook my head. What on earth did I do to deserve this? What horrible thing
did I do that condemned me to eternity with these morons?
“I told you he wouldn’t believe us!” Bakura said to Marik.
“Yeah... hey who is that?” Marik replied.
Bakura looked.
“Ah... I don’t know. Why is he coming here? Quick! Let’s run!” He said hurriedly.
I turned around. The tall brunette I was admiring earlier was walking toward us.
“Can I help you?” I asked him.
He was the same height as me. He regarded me coolly with azure eyes.
“No.” he stated “I thought you were someone else.”
I raised an eyebrow. Bakura and Marik were in hysterics.
“I’m Yami.” I said.
“Seto Kaiba.” The brunette replied.
“Sorry I’m not who you were looking for.” I said simply.
Kaiba shrugged.
“It doesn’t matter. It’s quite remarkable though how alike you look.” He replied.
“Who?” Bakura asked.
“You guys, and my friends.” Kaiba answered.
Bakura exchanged a knowing glance with Marik.
“Can you introduce us?” He asked sweetly.
Kaiba looked at me. He appeared rather uncomfortable. But then again, I have
that effect on most people. A combination of my magical blood and the aura
of power left over from being pharaoh.
Kaiba nodded.
“If you want.” He said.
I vaulted over the waist high fence. Bakura and Marik followed me.
“Well, lead the way.” I urged Kaiba.
Kaiba turned and walked back the way he had come. I followed him, only one
or two paces behind. Bakura and Marik were whispering beside me.
“Seto?” Marik began.
Kaiba stopped and looked at Marik expectantly. Marik hesitated, then whispered
something in Kaiba’s ear. The brunette blushed, then shook his head as if
to clear it. He nodded then set off again. Marik smirked at me, then rushed
after Kaiba. Bakura skipped along behind.
Idiots...
I followed them to what appeared to be the boy’s bathroom. Kaiba led Marik
inside. Bakura turned to me.
“We’ll only be a minute.” He laughed, then leapt into the bathroom.
What on earth were they doing? Are they insane? They can’t feed here, in the
middle of a school. Grrrr I’ll kill them! I paced outside the door. I was
completely on edge, ready to bolt at the slightest threat. I pulled my fluffy
jacket tighter around myself and continued to pace.
I heard a commotion to my left and spun around. There was a kid being
beaten up at the end of the corridor, about three metres away. A group of
taller boys were laying into a small figure curled up on the ground. That kind
of senseless violence always pissed me off. I stalked down the corridor toward
the boys.
“What are you doing?” I hissed.
The tallest turned to me.
“It’s none of your business.” He replied, pushing me backward.
I grabbed his hand arushrushed his fingers. The boy screamed in agony. I let
him fall to the ground and pushed the other boys out of my way. I leant over
the shivering form on the ground.
“Are you all right?” I asked.
The teen unfolded him and looked up at me. I was astonished. He looked exactly
like me. I stared at him, unmoving. The teen slowly climbed to his feet. He
was a great deal shorter than I. I tilted my head to the side.
The teen shifted uncomfortably.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” He asked timidly.
“I’m not...” I began “I’m just...”
I was completely speechless. The teen was getting angry.
“Stop staring at me!” He snapped.
I smiled. He was so cute.
“But you look just like me.” I said.
The teen smiled slightly.
“I know.” He stated.
I raised an eyebrow at him.
“You don’t think it’s strange?” I asked.
I was very confused now. The teen shook his head vigorously.
“No. I knew that you would come.” He replied.
I thought about it.
“So you’re a prophet?” I said.
The teen giggled.
“No. I’m not a prophet. I’m just your average teenager.” He laughed.
I chewed on my lip, deep in thought. Who was he? Why did he look like me?
What did he mean he knew I would come? How could he have? Short of
being a prophet that is. Maybe they didn’t call it propheticism.
“Can you see into the future?” I asked.
The teen smiled and shook his head.
“No. I can’t. But um, I’ve got to go to class now. Thank you for saving me.” He replied.
I nodded. But then I'll never find out why you’re like m“Wai“Wait, no. Can you stay?” I asked.
“Not now. But you can come by my house later.... If you want...” He said shyly.
“Yes. All right.” I stated.
The teen got a pen out of his pocket and reached for my hand. I gave it to him
and he wrote his address on the back.
“You can come over after three thirty.” He told me.
I nodded, reading the address. So his name was Yugi huh?
“All right, well I'll see you later.” Yugi said.
I smiled at him.
“Bye Yugi.” I replied.
I watched him walk away then turned back to the bathroom. There were odd
sounds coming from behind the closed door. Like a cat screaming. (Lol)
People were standing around gazing curiously at the door.
They really are idiots. What the hell are they doing to the poor guy? I’m going
to have to put a stop to this. I strode into the bathroom. Seto Kaiba was
crouched in the far right corner, hugging his knees to his chest. Bakura leant
against the sink on the left. Marik was washing blood from his chin.
“What did you do?” I growled.
Marik and Bakura looked at me and smiled. I shook my head and looked at
Kaiba. Kaiba looked up at me.
“Tell me you did not just transform him.” I stated.
Bakura grinned.
“Well, yeah.” He replied.
“How stupid are you two? That's a fucking idiotic thing to do! You can’t just
go around turning everyone into vampires!” I cried.
Marik looked at me.
“But look at him.” Marik protested.
I shook my head.
“I’m going home.” I stated, then turned and walked out.
Stupid fools. Stupid stupid stupid! Surely they know the dangers. Surely
they know the risks of just randomly turning someone. They never cease
to amaze me with their idiotic behaviour.
I walked home very quickly. I was so angry. I went inside and slammed
the door so hard that it came clean off its hinges and crashed to the floor.
Just fucking great. I stalked around the house, looking for something to
do. I found nothing. I managed not to break anything else though.
I stood in the kitchen, suppressing my need to destroy things. Marik
appeared in the doorway.
“Did you break anything else or just the front door?” He asked, grinning
stupidly.
I looked at him, but said nothing.
“I see. There's that temper you were famous for as pharaoh.” Marik continued
in a singsong voice.
I breathed deeply, resisting the urge to tear Marik limb from limb and scatter
his remains across Domino City.
“Anyway” Marik said “it doesn’t do to be rude to our guests. Come and say
hello to Seto.”
“Your new fuck toy you mean.” I snarled at Marik.
Marik grinned evilly.
“You’ve got to admit he’s pretty damn fine.” He stated.
“You’ll get bored with him in a couple of weeks.” I replied.
“I don’t think so. You should see what he’s like. And oh god that body....” Marik said.
I growled at him.
“Stop being so childish. Come on.” Marik ordered.
Then he left the room. I watched the doorway for a few moments then
followed him. Bakura, Kaiba and Marik were in the lounge. Kaiba was
sitting in an armchair, while Bakura was fawning at his feet. Marik was
perched on the arm of the chair running his fingers through the brunette’s
hair.
I was absolutely disgusted in the thieves’ behaviour; they were making
utter fools of themselves.
“Bakura get up off the ground. Have some fucking pride.” I snapped.
Bakura glared at me.
“Ah, the pharaoh....” Kaiba purred.
“I have nothing to say to you.” I stated.
“Pity. I have plenty to say to you. You’d do well to remember that I have
the blood of two of the most powerful beings in creation flowing through
my veins.” He replied.
“You can’t intimidate me. I am pharaoh.” I hissed.
“You were pharaoh. Now you’re just a shell. A shadow of the man you
used to be.” Kaiba stated.
“Hey, that's a bit harsh.” Marik interrupted.
“Quiet Marik. I can fight my own battles.” I snapped.
“Oh yes, pride was always your greatest weakness.” Kaiba drawled.
“What the fuck are you talking about? You’re acting as if you know me.
You are less than a quarter my age. You’re nothing to me.” I replied.
Kaiba stood up. He walked over to me. It was infuriating that he was the
same height as me. I couldn’t look down at him, or intimidate him.
“But I do know you.” He stated.
I looked into his eyes, trying to read his mind to discern the truth.
Kaiba laughed.
“Nice try Pharaoh. But it’ll take more than that to get into my head.” He
said.
“If getting into your pants is anything to go by, I'll have no trouble reading
your mind.” I replied.
Marik snickered. Kaiba smiled.
“Can’t we all just be friends?” He asked.
I looked at the clock. Three twenty five.
“I agree to disagree for now. I have things to do.” I said, then stepped
around Kaiba and exited the house.
I stalked down the street, glancing at the address on my hand. According
to Yugi’s directions, If I turned left at the next intersection, then went
straight for about 100 metres I’d be there.
So I turned left and kept walking. I stopped outside a game shop.
Well, this is it.
I walked inside the small shop and looked around. It appeared to be
devoted to duelling. An old man was behind the counter.
“Can I help you?” He asked, looking at me a litweirweirdly.
“Maybe” I replied, walking over to the counter, “Is Yugi around?”
The old man looked me up and down.
“He’s upstairs. I’ll get him for you.” He said.
I nodded and watched him walk away. I then looked around the shop.
“You came!” I heard Yugi say.
I turned around. I couldn’t help but smile. Yugi was the cutest little thing
I had ever seen. I was still puzzled about him looking like me. But there
were so many things different about him. Like he was so innocent. I could
tell just by looking at him. He had the qualities that I enjoyed most about
the hunt. I spent centuries feeding off people like him, that would look
at me with wide-eyed wonder as I bared my fangs, then beg for their
salvation as I drank their blood. I had lost my innocence a long time ago.
Maybe Kaiba was right, I am just a shadow of the man I used to be.
“Are you all right?” Yugi asked, interrupting my thoughts.
“Yes. Good. Are you ok after what happened?” I replied.
Yugi smiled.
“Yeah I'm fine. They do that all the time.” He said sadly.
Without thinking I walked over and hugged his frail body to me. I could
feel his fragile bones beneath his warm skin. I could smell his blood.
It was a cruel reminder that I had not yet fed. But I was not going to
hurt Yugi. Let him remain an angel, untouched by death. I pushed
Yugi away kind of roughly. I never meant to hurt him, but he looked
dejected.
“Did I do something wrong?” He asked softly.
“No, of course not Yugi. You’re fine. I shouldn’t be here...” I said hurriedly.
The longer I stayed, the more I wanted to ravage the young teen and
bend him to my will. But I wouldn't do it. I had to leave.
“Sorry Yugi... I have to go...” I stated, and then ran.
I ran all the way home. The front door had been fixed in my absence. I
opened it, then shut it carefully and turned to face my three companions.
“What happened?” Bakura asked, rushing to my side.
I was leaning against the door, breathing hard.
“You met him didn’t you?” Kaiba asked from his seat in the armchair.
“Who?” Marik asked.
“Yugi.” Kaiba answered.
I snapped my head up and looked at Kaiba.
“How do you...” I began.
Kaiba smiled.
“I do a lot of research Yami. That's how I know about you, about what
you are. About the prophecy even.” He replied.
“Prophecy?” I echoed, feeling a little apprehensive.
“Oh yes. Are you telling me the great pharaoh doesn’t know?” Kaiba laughed.
I glared at him.
“The prophecy recorded a thousand years ago by the Queen of Heaven.” Kaiba stated.
Queen of Heaven... oh god, Zenith.
”I see from the look on your face you know who I mean. Well, trophrophecy
states that the final battle between good and evil shall be fought. You are to
fight in this battle.” Kaiba continued.
“Just me?” I asked.
“All of you. The pharaoh, the thief and the protector.” Kaiba said.
“We have to fight them don’t we.” I said hurriedly.
Kaiba nodded.
“Who?” Bakura asked.
“Yugi. And your counterparts must be around somewhere.” I replied.
“They are all friends of mine.” Kaiba said.
“Can’t we just kill them now?” Marik asked.
Kaiba shook his head.
“You can’t. The prophecy must be fulfilled. No attempt to get rid of any
of the people it speaks of will be successful.” He stated.
I nodded.
“Figures.” I mumbled.
I sat down on the couch, finally understanding what Kaiba was saying. I
buried my head in my hands. This isn’t happening.
“Which side are we? Are we good or evil?” Marik asked.
“Isn’t it obvious? We’re evil. There's nothing good about us.” I said.
“But I'm pretty great.” Bakura said.
Marik looked at him.
“You’re just an idiot.” He said.
Bakura growled.
“Shut up both of you!” I cried.
“There's no point getting worked up over this Yami.” Kaiba said.
I glared at him.
“Do you have a part in this prophecy?” I asked him.
Kaiba shook his head.
“No, but I've chosen my side. I’m confident that we will win.” He replied.
Marik sat on the floor, deep in thought.
“You tricked me!” He said suddenly.
Kaiba smiled.
“Not exactly. You were more than willing to transform me. I didn’t even
have to suggest it.” He replied.
Marik mumbled to himself. Bakura laughed at him.
“When do we have to fight?” I asked.
Kaiba shrugged.
“I don’t know. I guess when you’ve all met your counterparts.” He answered.
“Then lets go. I’m ready for a fight.” Bakura stated.
Kaiba looked at Bakura contemplatively.
“I guess it couldn’t hurt to know what you’re up against. All right, let’s go
then.” He replied.
Bakura leapt up off the ground. Marik looked at him. Kaiba stood up and
looked at me.
“Coming?” He asked.
I shrugged.
“Do I need to?” I replied.
“I don’t know.” Kaiba answered.
“Can you come anyway?” Marik asked, standing up.
I slowly stood up and stretched. Kaiba nodded and exited the house.
Bakura, Marik and I followed him outside. Kaiba walked the opposite
way to the school and Yugi’s house. He stopped outside a double story
brick house, with a rose garden and white shutters on the windows.
“Bakura, your look-alike lives here. His names Ryou.” Kaiba stated.
Bakura nodded and bounded up the path to the front door. He knocked
and then disappeared from sight.
Kaiba kept walking.
“Hey guys, I want to go see Yugi.” I said, stopping.
Kaiba nodded.
“Yeah, go on.” He replied.
I turned around and walked back the way I had come. I stopped outside
the front door of the game shop. I entered. Yugi sat behind the counter.
“Hey!” He said.
I smiled.
“Hello Yugi. I’m sorry, about before.” I stated.
Yugi smiled back.
“That's ok. You’re here now.” He replied, walking around the counter and
hugging me.
I looked down at him and gently pushed him away, holding him at arms
length. I looked into his eyes.
“Yugi, do you know who I am?” I asked.
Yugi shook his head.
“My name is Yami. I’m an ex-pharaoh of Egypt.” I stated.
Yugi thought about it.
“And you’re a vampire.” He stated.
I was shocked.
“How do you know?” I asked.
Yugi bit his lip.
“I don’t know.” He whispered.
He started to cry. I pulled Yugi into an embrace and rubbed his back soothingly.
“Shhh little one. It’s all right.” I said softly.
How could I possibly kill him? I could never, never hurt little Yugi. When
I looked at him, I was reminded of everything that I hated about myself.
I wanted to stop Yugi from ever turning out like me. I wanted him to stay
innocent. I wanted to help him!
Yugi was struggling in my grip. I let him go.
He blushed.
“You were choking me.” He giggled.
I smiled. Why did I feel so attached to him? Why did I want to protect him?
Were Bakura and Marik feeling the same thing for their counterparts? So
many questions that needed answering.
“Sorry.” I said.
Yugi shrugged and went back behind the counter.
“So what do you do here all day?” I asked him.
“I’m not here all day; I’m at school most days. I just work here for my
grandfather after school and on weekends.” Yugi replied, tracing patterns
in the dust on the counter.
I really didn’t know what to say. I wanted to ask him if he knew about
the prophecy. I couldn’t ask him of course, it was an unspoken agreement
between the others and myself. I knew neither Bakura nor Marik would
tell. I expected Marik just to kill his look-alike for the sake of it. It was
weird, but how could such innocent little... children possibly stand up to
us? We were gods. We had superhuman strength, incredible agility and
speed. We were perfect killing machines.
Except I had my guilty conscience to deal with. I couldn't bear the thought
of harming Yugi in the slightest way. I wanted to be around him all the
time. I’d only known him for less than a day, but I already couldn’t stand
to be away from him.
Maybe Yugi could tell me about his friends. The ones we were meant to
be fighting.
“Yugi. Do you have a friend with long silvery hair and brown eyes by the
name of...” I began.
What was the name?
“Ryou.” I finished.
Yugi looked at me.
“Yeah. Ryou.” He replied.
“What' lik like?” I asked.
“Quiet, shy. He’s really nice.” Yugi said.
How could someone like that stand up to Bakura? I nodded.
“Why do you want to know?” Yugi asked.
“I heard Seto Kaiba talking about him.” I stated.
“How do you know Kaiba?” Yugi added.
“Ah.... We met today, at the school.” I answered.
Yugi raised an eyebrow at me.
“Why were you at my school?” He asked.
“Um....” I began.
I might as well tell him.
“I was walking around and I saw my friends standing outside your
school. I went to talk to them and Seto Kaiba came over thinking
we were someone else. Then he said something about us looking
like his friends and I asked if he could introduce us. So we followed
him into the school. The rest you know.” I said hurriedly.
Yugi took a minute to process the information.
“Did you make him a vampire?” Yugi asked.
I bit my lip.
“Well, I didn’t. But yes, he was made into a vampire.” I replied.
“Oh...” Yugi said, looking at the ground.
“Sorry... Yugi.” I said.
Yugi looked up at me.
“It’s all right, I guess. Joey won’t be very happy.” He replied.
“Well he can blame Marik and Bakura for it.” I stated.
Yugi just nodded. Then he cried out, as though in pain. He fell
off the stool he sitting on, clutching his head.
“Ow! Oh god it hurts! Yami! Help me!” He cried.
I rushed around the counter and bent over him.
“Err, it’s ok.” I said.
I hadn’t the slightest idea of how to comfort the mortal boy. Yugi
was screaming in agony. I’d never heard such an anguished cry.
Save for the night I was transformed, when I lost all hope.
I stayed crouched over Yugi for quite some time. It was strange
that his grandfather never heard him screaming. Or that there were
no customers at all.
"Obsession grips, blind dragon fever
In throes of scythed orgasm, Eros dies
And Saturn rapes faith's lovelorn Diva
Upon a Cyprian altar, stripped bare for sacrifice
Virtue births a demon
Pandora's box, unhinged, sets loose the night
Winged lilith born for want of Eden
Fanning plumes of harlotry
Like pearls before the desert swine"
As quickly as he’d begun, Yugi stopped screaming. He lay panting
on his back on the ground. His eyes shut.
“Yugi? Yugi?” I said softly.
Yugi appeared to be unconscious. His breathing evened out and his
body relaxed.
I looked at him for the longest time. Like an angel in sleep he seemed.
Pure, sweet, innocent. Everything I could never be. It was easy to imagine
myses ths the winged demon, responsible for the angels’ demise.
There you go, perfect example of my conscience interfering. I’d done
nothing wrong, and I felt as guilty as sin.
I was about to go and tell Yugi’s grandfather what had happened, since
I couldn’t just leave Yugi on the ground, when Yugi moaned. I bent down
again to peer into his face.
Yugi’s eyes fluttered open. He moaned and rolled over onto his side.
“Yugi? Are you alright?” I asked.
Yugi didn’t answer me, but he climbed to his feet, then stretched as though
waking from a long sleep.
“Yugi?” I continued.
Yugi spun around. I could tell at once there was something wrong. I could
feel an ancient power in the air. It crackled like electricity. Yugi’s eyes had
changed from amethyst to obsidian, his mouth was twisted into a malicious
grin that Marik would have been proud of.
“Pharaoh.” Yugi said in a voice was wasn’t his.
“Who are you?” I replied.
“Don’t you know me? I’m Yugi.” Yugi replied.
I backed toward the door. It’s not very often that I am afraid of something.
But I was absolutely terrified of Yugi now.
Yugi smiled at me than raised one hand. A bolt of purple lightening gathered
in his palm, then shattered the window where I had been standing a
second before. I leapt through the broken window and bolted down the street.
I had to get home. I had to warn Marik, and Bakura. I crashed through the
front door of our house. Kaiba was sitting in the armchair he’d adopted.
Marik was laying on the floor, blood pouring from a gash in his side. Bakura
was sitting on the couch hugging his knees.
“It’s started.” I gasped, gulping in air like there was no tomorrow.
The way I was going, there wouldn’t be.
Kaiba nodded.
“Is Marik ok?” I asked.
“I’m fine. It’s Bakura you should be worried about. He’s freaking out.” Marik
replied, smiling weakly.
I turned to Bakura.
“You alright?” I asked.
Bakura looked at me and nodded. I sat down on the couch next to him.
“Yami...” He began.
“Yes?” I answered.
“What did you feel, when you met Yugi?” He asked.
“That he was an angel I needed to protect, not an enemy I had to kill.” I replied.
“Oh god I thought it was just me.” Marik interrupted.
“No, I felt it too.” Bakura added.
“Are we meant to feel that?” I asked Kaiba.
Kaiba shrugged, then returned to his thoughts.
"Pour submission into me
No church shall bar our paths
Seductive evil drink...
your fill of the bleeding Christ in your arms
Where scorn is fed in the blackest fucking soul!"
