Disclaimer: Do not own. Period.

Warnings: Yaoi, Violence, AU, Yuri, Physical Abuse, Rape... well, sorta..., Profanity, Masochism, Sadism, Drug Abuse, Schizophrenia, Multiple Personality Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Self-mutilation, and Angst... ALWAYS Angst. Oh yeah, there may be a little incest in here too, but I haven't figured a way to work that in.

Summary: Living your life in a prison for pyschos and druggies isn't easy, but hey, someone's got to do it.

A/N: Re-written. Because I could. Because it was so much like the story that inspired it that it was irking me. I love ya and all, but hey, I'd like to have a bit of originality, ne? Things you might want to know. Darek is the Dark Magician, while Cody is the Celtic Guardian. Cyan is the D. Magician girl *shudders*. I've named the Change of Heart card Cassandra/Cassie and the Mystical Elf Callie. And Faith would be the Magician of Faith. Blake is the Red Eyes Black Dragon while Manuel/Mannie/Manu is the Flame Swordsman. Hallie/Hal is the Harpy Lady. Axel is the Axe Raider. I'm going to have to skip over the lemon scenes like usual *dodges the various fruits and cutlery being thrown* Unless! Unless you are reading this at AFF.N. Then you get the juicy stuffs. Till next time, ne? And erm... no worries, there WILL be a next time.... I'm not dead yet... I hope.... just... revising... everything.... Ehm, sorry bout the repost... When I write, I tend to skip around the different parts a bit and... I stopped in the middle of a sentence somewhere before skipping to another part and... plain forgot to finish what I was going to say... -_-;; Gomen nasai. In any case, it's written in there now, so... enjoy!

Chapter One
Journey to Nowhere
----------

The truck pulled to a stop, sending most of it's occupants flying forward before their seatbelts went into auto-lock and jerked them back forcefully. Darek, who had failed to strap himself down, went tumbling out of his seat and into the double-doored back of the van, landing face first on the paved ground.

"Dammit! That's it! I refuse to go on any more of these 2 hour trips into town to pick up rehab victims who'll end up dead anyways!" The blonde standing beside the truck stifled her laughter, helping the blue-eyed 20-year-old off the ground. She turned to inspect the newbies, grinning shamelessly at the fact that the new batch was mostly people in their late teens or early twenties. She absently noted that they also had been allowed to keep the clothing they came here in. [Well it's better than making 'em strip and chang the the van like they used to... Bad thoughts, BAD THOUGHTS!!] Shaking her head wildly to expel that train of thought, she turned her attention back to the people now exiting the truck on Darek's request.

The first to exit the truck was also the tallest, brown hair spiked with what seemed to be endless amounts of hair gel. She winced. [Doesn't this guy care about his hair at all? I mean, come on, if you're gonna style your hair, at least make it look good.] He was wearing a light brown trench with a simple white tee underneath and jeans. She looked down the list on the clipboard, checking off one of the guests.

After Spike Hair, came another guy, this one with pitch black hair, and the eyes of... She scanned down the list, scowling when she found two with the same symptom listed. Flicking her eyes over him again, she noticed the slender fingers playing with the dice earring hanging from one ear, and the two lumpy pockets sticking out from the black leather pants. She glanced back down between the two choices and marked one off.

She blinked at the large gap between Dice Boy and the next teen, then realized to look downward. A short boy with black hair threatening to consume him glared back at her, daring her to question his height setback. She smiled, albeit a bit nervously at his ferocity. Despite his glare, he didn't seem all that threatening. His violet eyes gave off a kind sparkle and his posture stated that he'd been raised in more than decent setting... She searched through the age column of the list, marking off the 17-year-old.

A protective hand came to rest on Black Hair's shoulder, and she looked to the tall brunette to see what a real Death Glare looked like. She broke eye contact quickly, not daring to get into a staring contest with this one. A soft voice behind her almost made her jump.

"That one's got a temper. We had to sedate him earlier because he refused to let go of his laptop..." She turned to give him a look. He gave her a serious one. Letting out a soft sigh, she searched through the names again.

Behind Blue Eyes was a girl, apparently the first and only female on the truck. She was dressed to kill in purple leather and bitch boots, and had a satchel slung over on shoulder that looked to contain some personal belongings she refused to leave behind. Violet Eyes noticed her looking and gave her small smirk while pulling out something from her bag. "Just because I'm going to be in a crazy house for awhile doesn't mean I still won't look great all the time." She tossed over the tube of lipstick, activating Cyan's instincts. She ducked. A stiff cough came from behind her and she stood back up, dusting off her outfit before turning to Darek with a small smile on her face. Taking the makeup from his hand she tossed it back to Violet Eyes with a smirk. "Good choice of color. You'll have to get the bag checked at the counter, but I'm sure they'll let you keep most of the stuff."

Behind the girl was another unusually short boy. This one had hair that she could actually appreciate. Original style, and didn't look half bad. The main portion of it was spiked outwards. It was dyed a dark red, almost black if he hadn't been standing in the sunlight. The bangs were dyed as well, a golden color, and spiked out to both sides, leaving one left dangling in the middle. He smiled up at her and introduced himself politely. Surprising, since most people that came around tended to be bitter on their first visit. She went down the list, marking down Yugi.

The last to climb out of the truck was also somewhat of an Adonis. Gold - not golden, just gold - locks that hung into syrupy pools of amber, unruly yet tamed. Pale skin clashed with the green silk dress shirt and the black leather pants. A duffel bag was carelessly hanging over his shoulder, and unlike the others, he seemed to be really relaxed about coming here. He's probably been in before - it's not the first time they had left and come back. Although, the record had to be the less than pleasant tenant they still had, even after a year of her time and apparently four or so years before that. He had finally finished his session around three months ago. He was brought back in the same day he had been released.

She took one last look over the group before. "...So this is the new batch, huh?" Darek glared at her, then turned to face the newcomers, flicking a lavender strand of hair out of his eyes before he spoke.

"Everyone is to enter the building in an orderly fashion, no pushing and/or shoving." The blonde stepped forward.

"Please make your way to the front desk where you will need to sign in. Callie will direct you from there on." She paused as one of the newbies took the time to remind her that they had no idea who Callie was. "...I thought it would be painfully obvious, don't you Darek? You know, considering the fact that everyone here wears name tags?" Blue Eyes locked onto her in a death glare, daring her to insult the other again.

Black Hair scoffed. "Well excuse me for caring, Obaasan." Yugi let a out a small snort of laughter and Blue Eyes smirked. Cyan gave the shorter boy the best glare she could manage, before pointing wordlessly to the building.

-~-CODY-~-

The corridor is empty. Good, that's one more thing I have to thank new arrivals for. Sure, I'm a Level Three, so I'm really allowed to go around without an escort or anything, but hey, what's the fun of that? I sneak my way over to the lobby area. It's pretty much deserted most of the time, but I'm aiming for the Arrival Hall/Meeting Room where all the newbies have been directed to. Boredom is a disease I can't ever seem to get rid of, and spying on my boyfriend try to explain the rules to a bunch of people who don't really give a shit should keep me entertained for the time being.

I crouch down as best as I can, to crawl past The Lookout. Or the front desk, depending on who you are. Sure, a couple of years ago, with my big, obstructing muscles, I would never have made it past unnoticed, but a year and a half's worth of heroin does wonders for your body. And the alcohol might've helped. I wouldn't know, I never paid attention in health class. Then again, most of us druggies (or as Tea would put it "substance abuse guests"... she really weirds me out) were also punks and what Bakura likes to call 'brainless idiots'. Or maybe he just calls me that. Sheesh, I didn't mean to catch the kitchen on fire, honest. Whatever the reason, it cost me my Level Four title. Dangit and I was so close to finally getting out of this dump too.

"Why hello Cody, how are you today?" Ack.... I look upwards to see Callie standing behind me with an amused look on her face.

Callie's cool. Honest. She's real sweet (sometimes too much for her own good, but I can't bring myself to take advantage of that for some odd reason) and super polite. She told me once that she'd always wanted a job where she could help people, but her parents couldn't afford to send her away to college, so she stayed behind to help out on the farm. (Can you believe she used to be a farm girl?) She helps everyone out, as long as it's within the rules. I notice that she's holding a vase of flowers, one of the guest's family must've sent it in. Too bad they'll have to put it away. It looks real nice too.

"Fine, thanks. You?" She helps me off the ground and I wipe the dust of my pants while she answers.

"As usual, things are wonderful, hun. Now just what would you be doing trying to sneak around like that?" She winks at me and I can't help but offer her a sheepish smile.

"I just wanted to see what we'd hauled in for the next who-knows-how-long." Weeks at the least, but hey - Bakura's been here for at least three years, and doesn't seem to be getting out soon. Apparently money isn't an issue because his brother pays for his stay. Makes me wonder what type of place Ryou lives in.

"I suppose it wouldn't hurt. Go ahead. If you get in trouble though, not my fault. Okay?" I flash her a smile before opening the door to the other room.

[This is... pointless.] Even he thought so, and he was the one giving the presentation. After the guests were checked in at the main counter, he should've have been off duty for the next half hour. But Cyan saw Faith sitting around on break and... [I need to learn how to say no to puppy eyes.] So he ended up giving the lecture. He waited until everyone was seated before closing the large curtain in the back that blocked ofe sue sunlight from the windows, as well as the door and a small section in the back where people could talk quietly if they were just waiting for their charges to finish up. He turned the machine on and the front view of Silver Bells appeared on the wall.

"Welcome to Silver Bells, your residential treatment facility. Many of you haven't been here before, this presentation will give you an idea of what to expect." This was so formal, so... boring. "We host a variety of guests, both male and female. Rooms and roommates are grouped by age, as well as issues." Click. "Since this last truck was already separated by age, most of you will be staying in the second wing. The first wing rooms houses the sixteen through nineteen years, the second wing - twenty to twenty-two years, and the third wing rooms the twenty-three to twenty-five years." He pointed to the map. "Physical stands in the back, where the swimming pool, tennis court and basketball court are. The infirmary is located in the middle of the building for any emergencies. The cafeteria is on the east side of the infirmary, across the corridor. North to the cafeteria is the study hall, with the break room to the east, there is a patio there for our smokers. On the infirmary's west side lies the Anger Management room, and across the corridor from that is Relaxation Therapy. Up in the northwest corner of the building, we have Group, to the northeast is Individual. The Lobby is on the south side of the building, and will also be the visiting area if you want to set up an appointment." Click. "The stairs between the second and third wings lead to the basement, where there is the laundry room and the ven mac machines. There are also vending machines in the visiting area." Click. "The restrooms throughout the building are located south of Relaxation Therapy, inside the Lobby; to the south of the Cafeteria; and south of Group and Individual."

Click.

"The guests are separated into four levels. Everyone should have a colored name tag. Level Ones have blue name tags, Level Twos have orange, Level Threes have green and Level Fours have purple. As new arrivals, you will be Level Ones. You are not allowed to go anywhere unsupervised. You can ask a Level Three or Four to escort you if you want to go anywhere. Level Twos are allowed to wander around inside the building, but the grounds outside are off limits without an escort, and so is the basement area. Level Threes are allowed outside to the grounds during the day as long as they're with an attendant, but must be inside by eight o'clock. Level Fours are allowed to wander around inside during the night if they wish, and are allowed pretty much everywhere on their own during the day."

{Okay, I was going to add some more notes about the facility in here, but I went out to dinner with Kat and when I came back, I totally forgot what I was going to say... =^_^;; Erm... so... I dunno, If you found something that you had a question about, ask I'll revise the chapter if it was something I wanted known, kk?}

The projector went off and he moved to open the curtains when he heard a shuffling sound.

"Let me guess..." He maneuvered through the chairs and guests to the back and flung open the curtains. the small space there was completely empty. "Hn." He turned to guests. If you would follow me outside, Cyan should be there to show you to your rooms."

-~-JOEY-~-

I tended to keep to myself, really. What everybody does is none of my business, and what I do is none of theirs. Then how the hell did I get stuck in this mess? Okay sure, so I mouthed off to a lot of teachers, and I dove headfirst into a bunch of things without thinking. But that's because I used to get into a lot of fights as a kid. And hey, I was - I am - the best at what I do. There wasn't a single time that I didn't walk out victorious while my opponents ended up flat on their faces. Not that I'm a sadist, I didn't care if they hurt or not. In fact, half the times I'd let them think they had the upper hand on me. But then I'd bust out the big moves, and they'd be face down in the dirt. Heh, idiots.

I could take the time to get to know my fellow... what was it they call us? Oh right. 'Guests'. Like we're in some type of hotel or something. A hotel for loonies that is. Well not really. I've been here before so I know what to expect. The real loonies are locked up tight in the east wing above the parking lot. Like, what's his name, Malik or something? Last I heard he was put in there after the incident.

I'm brought out of little trance when the presentation ends. I already knew where everything was, so not like I had to listen right? Seven Hells is the same old boring place I'd been before. We head back out, and I make sure to keep to the back of the crowd. Maybe I can slip off at some point and see if anyone I knew is still around. Wouldn't be surprised, that's for sure. Everyone knows that if you get in, you don't get out. Well, not permanently at least. Unless you're one of the anorexics. Or 'food issue guests' as the nurses like to call em... It's just really that hard to let go of something you've become accustomed to.

Take me for example. I've been in and out of here twice already, this'll be my third. Once when I got arrested at the bar for starting a fight - I knew I should've just gone to the one I usually did, but I felt up for a little differentiation. Eh, I think that's the word at least. In any case, that was when I first met Malik and his brother Marik. They'd been brought in at the same time I had, along with Bakura and Blake. We were all either sixteen or seventeen, except for Blake, who was actually already twenty. The other three pretty much bonded, which was good, because they were all sharing a room because of lack of space in the second wing. I ended up sharing a room with Axel, who was actually pretty cool once you got past the whole tough guy act. Surprisingly enough though, it was me and Blake who really became good pals. We'd look out for each other, and I don't think I'd ever had a closer friend before then. Of course, just like everyone else, he left. But no biggie, I was already up to a Level Three status and would be leaving soon.

Eight months after I left, I came back. Malik, Bakura and Marik hadn't ever left, and I was starting to worry about that. Turned out that Malik and Marik had an older sister who was pretty rich, and didn't want them back until they were "cured". Bakura, well... his dad worked here a while back and his brother was apparently training to come work here as well. ...Sucka!

I ended up in a room with Manny, and we became friends pretty fast. That guy had some bad ass ideas! For being all quiet and all that shit. Like the time we nabbed all the little floating UFO/Soundproofer thingies outside Individual and put around Hal's bed. It wouldn't have been too bad, but she's paranoid delusional as it is... Or the time that... whatwhatever.

The point is, no one left as far as I could tell. Unless you were up-the-ass special like Blake. And up-the-ass isn't just an expression. That guy could fuck like no one else. None of the times I had with Manny were that good, even when Cody decided to join in.

Although this Darek guy seems like a good prospect... nice ass, at least...

-~-

[Man that was close!] He peeked around the corner to see the newbies exit the Meeting Room. Closing his eyes, he counted slowly to twenty before tackle glomping the next person that walked by his hiding spot.

"Darek!"

"Oof!" The lavender haired man fell over gracelessly. Grinning wildly, the blonde jumped up from the ground. He went around the group, shaking everyone's hands whilst introducing himself.

"Cody Harding at your service, athlete extraordinaire and two year resident of Seven Hells. Nice to meet you all." Most of the new arrivals looked surprised, and only one of them slapped his hands away this time. The last one however...

"Joey? Is that you?" The blonde head turned up to look at him. A look of recognization came over his face and he let a grin flash onto his face. Ten seconds later, the blonde, green, and brown blur of muscle, flesh and bone tackled him in a tight hUnliUnlike Darek however, Joey kept his footing.

"Cody! Long time, no see pal! Did I miss anything?" The others could only look on with amusement/jealousy/indifference while they tried to keep track of what was being said.

"Not too much, Malik ended up going to Orült after all."

"Damn. No kidding, huh? Have any idea how's he's doing?"

"I thought you didn't like him."

"Sure I wasn't too fond of the guy, but still, you had to feel sorry for him after the incident."

"You've got a point there."

"What about Manny? He still hanging around?"

"Manu? Nah, he left about three weeks after you did. Said he was getting transferred to another loony bin somewhere up north."

"You're shitting me."

"Not at all, I think he was still a bit annoyed about you."

"Well, it was his fault."

"Only half."

"So what about you what've you been up to?"

"Not much."

"Still sleeping around?"

"Not since I got -" He grabbed the nurse from where he was glaring and pulled him close. "- Darek over here to hold me down in one place."

"He'd have to be pretty damn good to keep you satisfied. Think I cou -"

"Gentlemen." Both boys turned to look up at Darek when he said this. "I do have a job to do. You can catch up later."

Sighing, Cody gave a halfhearted wave to the other blonde. "No sweat, I've got dish duty today anyways. Later!" He bounded off towards the Cafeteria yelling a greeting to Cyan and Faith who were lounging casually on the couch.

-~-YUGI-~-

I wouldn't have looked up from the ground if we hadn't stopped. I'm mean, come on, what now?! First they put me on trial for doing something I didn't do, then they say I'm guilty and have me tossed into a truck with about three other people! We make more stops to pick up people on the way, whichld hld have been okay, but there wasn't enough room for all of them. Which means that it was crowded, and hot, and this other guy was pressed up against me so that my necklace jabbed painfully into my chest and my choker dug into my skin. Then we go up to the front desk for 'check in' or what ever and they take my jewelry, even my puzzle, because it's "potentially dangerous". Kami, this is annoying. There were two voices that seemed to be either arguing or chatting. I couldn't tell which, but it was starting to give me a headache.

Until I looked up.

The blonde on the left was nothing too special, but the other one...

He was a god...

He stood at least a good foot or two taller than me, a hard, muscled body that screamed perfection. Windswept, unruly hair that came a bit over his eyes, and the most gorgeous jewel eyes ever. He had on tight leather pants that showed off his long, agile form and a sleek emerald shirt that clung to his body. The top two buttons were left undone, drawing my eyes downward until you could see that it was so far open that his nipples where almost showing. He was utterly - for a lack of a better term - fuckable.

A short glance around, and I can already tell that no one even comes close to matching up to him. Except for the other blonde, but I don't swing that way. Too bad... Sure, the rest of them have their benefits, to be fair. But nothing compared to this one...

I didn't catch his name unfortunately, and I'm stuck guessing. If I had my choice it would be...

"Jounouchi."

It comes out as a whisper, but still catches some attention. The black haired kid in the group turns to look at me weirdly, and I notice that he's Japanese as well. I give him a friendly wave, before going back to my thoughts.

Yes... Jounouchi would be the perfect name...

"Jou-kun..."

-~-CYAN-~-

"Cyan." I look up to see Darek towering over me wearing that glare I was sure Cody had gotten rid of when they got together. I give him my best smile. Award-winning if I say so myself.

"Sure, I'll take it from here. By the way, your boyfriend skipped out on kitchen detail again." The look on his face is priceless as he glares at the doors the hyperactive blonde went through, somewhere between exasperation and fury. Hilarious, especially when a hint of laughter and love slip in as well. He looks back to me and smirks. That's a change.

"So Faith was so eager to get away from you that she offered to do his work, huh?" Oh that was sooo not funny.

"Ooo.... Darek, you big bully!" I push him out of the way before going back to my charges. I motion for them to follow me as I go towards the west wings. "I'll be showing you to your rooms now. The wings have ten rooms, five on each side of the hall, but we're only allowed to use the first few in all the wings. Since each of you will be sharing with someone else, it shouldn't be too hard to fit you all in." I'm joking of course. We have the rooms planned out already, although I'm kind of surprised at some of these... it makes sense to put some of them in together if they have the same problem, but putting two sadistic maniacs, I mean, people with violent tendencies in the same room is just ludicrous. I mean, it'd be like the time we put those manic depressive people in together.

"The rooms are furnished with anything that you need at the moment. Your bags are already in there, and we've taken the liberty to sift through them for any objects with which you could harm someone." A groan or two, coupled with more than a few glares. Hey, dun look at me, I don't make the rules.

I flip through my clipboard for a quick check on roll call. Since Violet Eyes is the only female, I suppose I could start with her. "Mai, right? You'll be in the third wing, since you're the only one here that's twenty-three. It's the second room on the left side, and you'll be sharing with Cassandra, since we really don't have enough space in that wing... I think she's on Kitchen detail at the moment, so she won't be showing up until Group."

"Great, that means I'll get the room alone for awhile." I look through the list again, and it turns out that both the rooms on the end of the second wing are ours.

"So which one is Tristan?"

Spike Hair raises his hand, oh so enthusiastically. "Yo." I roll my eyes. These guys think they're sooo cool.

"You'll be sharing the room on the left with Joey." The blonde Adonis picks up his bag from it's place at his feet and heads to the room. I hear a growl from somewhere, (I think it's Yugi, though....) and Blue Eyes and Dice Boy were glaring at the door as if trying to break it with their psychic powers. Spike Hair looks extraordinarily happy as well. Guess I'm not the only one who thought he looked good...

"Erm... right. Seto, you're sharing with Duke in the room across the hall..." Both boys offer me a glare before heading towards it with less than pleasant looks on their faces.

Yugi is smiling again though, more like smirking really, but Black Hair over there still looks to be mad about something or another...

"And the both of you will be in the first wing. The first room on the right will be shared by Yugi and Mokuba." The smile/smirk falls from Yugi's face, and he follows Mokuba to the room dejectedly.

"What did I do?"

Jeez I need to learn how to write... Okay, so there are worse out there, I'll admit (Go check out the MSTs by Dchan on AFF.N. They're hilarious) but I still want to say that I'm sorry if I confused anyone on my first person POVs... I should just stick to third... Got it? =^_^= Yay!! *dances* Anyways, tell me what you think, kk? *bounces off happily*
