The buildings burned around them, the humans lying dead in the streets, save for the ten still left alive.
Bakura, Marik, Mokuba, Seto, Ryou, Malik, Joey, Anzu, Isis and Duke were the only ones left, and they were huddled together in the basement of a broken down building.
A few days ago, something had happened, and their kind started dying. All of them. The entire world was forced to watch as their armies could do nothing.
Because they had no idea of what they were fighting against. No clue as to what was killing them.
And the group of ten in the basement, were the last ten left free.
The only country left untouched was a part deep in Egypt.
The part that was built on Kul Elna. And It was there that the others knew they would eventually end up.
They had lost track of Yami and Yugi ages ago. The two had been vacationing in America, and had, as far as the others knew, killed in the attacks.
Joey was curled up Duke’s lap, still depressed that he had not been able to save his sister, but he pressed tighter to the former-CEO, Who held Joey in his grip tighter.
In the aftermath, everyone had gotten together with someone, needing the small amount of affection they could get in the dark times.
//Flashback//
Everyone had stood in a circle, quietly looking at each other. Mokuba, Isis and Anzu where in the other room, as Isis and Anzu were very much in love, and Mokuba was still to young to be with anyone.
They stood still before Bakura finally took a deep breath and looked at Seto, who nodded silently, and held a hand out that Bakura took. Joey and Duke walked silently to a corner of the room as Seto carefully walked the injured Bakura into the small extra room they had in the basement, taking care to make sure Bakura wouldn’t injure his broken arm more than possible.
Marik said nothing as both Malik and Ryou walked over and clung to him, stroking the young hikaris’ hair and cooing softly as they cried quietly into his shirt.

Isis walked in, clutching her child close to her chest. Before he had disappeared, her and Yami had gotten caught up in a night of passion, and she had become pregnant. Yugi had forgiven his dark, as he had seen that Yami and Isis would lay together. Yugi wasn’t exactly a seer, but he could the lines of the earth, and read the stars. He had learned the old Gypsy magick from his mother before she had died.
The baby Chisisi, affectionately dubbed Chi by the others, was quiet and peaceful, full from feeding and dressed in a stolen one-sie and a cloth that was serving as a diaper. Marik and Joey were very protective of the smaller one, both having offered to adopt the smaller baby, but Isis had refused.
She had been forbidden to tell, but she knew that Yami and Yugi weren’t gone.
