Rating: PG,
I believe.

Pairing: Atemu/Yuugi...In the afterlife, maybe?

Warning: This is a Death!fic where Yuugi commits suicide, but because I
loathe that act, I couldn't bring myself to write that scene. I did try,
but I only managed to depress myself. I find this drabble
very odd, and, yes, Yuugi has basically gone insane without Atemu being
there...Hmm, I think that’s about it.

On his bed, Yuugi sits with his knees brought up, blankets wrapped around him.
He has been staring at his ceiling through the day and night ever since he came
back from Egypt; his Mother and Grandpa are worried, he can hear it in their
voices, can feel it in their touch, but his eyes never waver.

His friends, the ones that went with him, watched Him leave, try to get
him to join their conversations when they come over; did you know his ceiling
was a very pale blue?

His Mom talks to him when the mocking sun goes to sleep and the soothing moon
comes out to heal all of the sun’s misdeeds. She says she doesn’t understand
but she wants to; she wants her smileycheerfuljoyful baby back. Yuugi notices
that she wants a lot of things.

He can’t help her though.

Because Yuugi wants to be selfish for once.

Because Yuugi wants his other self, his darkness.

Because Yuugi wants to be whole again.

Because Yuugi needs Atemu.

Because Yuugi loves the Pharaoh.

“My other self, will you stay with me forever and ever?”

“Yes, partner, always.”

Silly Mama and Grandpa...I’m still here, I’ll never leave! I just want to be
complete, can’t you see? He can’t come back to me but I can go to him! I love
you Mama, Grandpa, please don’t worry, I’m still here, I’ll always be here.

Tears glided down everyone’s face, collecting on their chins before dribbling
to the cold rumble underneath their feet. Grey clouds littered the sky, the sun
mourning; the clump of people wore black, flowers held within their hands.

A Ray of Sunshine That

Needed His Moonlight.

Sugoruko Mutou looked to his left, frowning slightly, as his ears caught the
soft sounds of giggles and chuckles blending together in the wind. Seeing
nothing, he turned back to the grave; he knew what he heard though. He let a
small smile appear before hiding it with his bouquet of violet- and
scarlet-coloured tulips.

It seemed light and dark would always be together.

End.
