Notes: I did it; my naga bug has finally bit me. It was only a matter of time before it happened, but I finally decided to do the first YGO naga fic. At least to my knowledge this is the first one. How good it will do, I have no idea. This is based off a RP I did a long time ago. But I’m doing this my own way. So this is definitely AU.
Warnings: Male pregnancy, YGO characters turned into nagas, lemon later on.
Disclaimer: I only own Anjay; any other nagas I mention belong to their respective owners and are only being borrowed for fic purposes. Killian belongs to NEPi, Asp and Mercury Ishwary belong to Gemma Wilson aka snapesnogger. I also don’t own Yu-Gi-Oh or any characters in it. I’m only turning some into nagas for my enjoyment.
Species: Seto – Burmese python
Yami – Burmese python
Anjay – Green Anaconda
Killian – Unknown. Just a green naga with diamond patterns on his tail, four horns, long green hair, yellow green eyes, and tattoos on his shoulders and forehead.

The sun rose over a small community that was not like any others that had been seen by human kind. This community held creatures that many humans hated, and hunted for their own sick purposes. And deep within the community two such creatures lived and were trying to make a living. There were many other nagas here, but these two stood out due to their coloration and the fact that they had varying horn sizes as well.
“What is our game plan today? I know we have to be extra vigilant right now.” Yami spoke, his tail twitching lightly. He looked over at his mate who was busy building a nest out of furs and other soft things they found lying around. But then he noted that Seto stopped with the nest construction for a second as he spoke.
“You aren’t doing anything. I’ll go out with the other nagas and see what they want me to do. I can’t risk you getting hurt, not in your condition. Who knows how long it will be until you lay the eggs.” Seto spoke softly, looking out the window for a moment to see the other nagas going back and forth in the community to their respective homes or businesses.
“And what am I going to do while you’re out with the others? I know three of them were talking about preparing for battle soon. And yet you aren’t telling me what we’re fighting.” Yami replied, crossing his arms over his chest.
“That’s between us. Right now Asp is trying to help me figure out what we can do to prepare. He’s experienced in this kind of thing, at least so he told me.” Seto replied, looking back at Yami for a moment.
Yami sighed softly and lay down on the furs, moving his hands over his stomach. He still didn’t understand why Seto had to leave, and why he had to be alone all day. Unless someone came to visit, then it wouldn’t be too bad. The only one though he had to talk to was Mercury, who knew a thing or two about being pregnant.
“Alright… if anything happens, I’ll talk to Mer. That is unless he’s going out with you three as well.” Yami spoke softly, turning himself so he was sitting up. But his hands were still placed lightly over his stomach.
“Good idea. Talk to a naga with experience. I’ll be back this afternoon.” Seto smiled, kissing Yami on the forehead before he slithered out of their house. He knew that Yami would take care of himself, knowing it would still be some time before the eggs came.
Anjay turned his head to see Seto coming up the path, a light smile crossing his lips before he returned to his stoic expression. He knew that this was important, and they had to prepare to protect their loved ones and community. Although the threat of any imminent war was probably still far off.
“Good morning Seto. How is Yami doing today?” Anjay asked before he saw Asp come up behind Seto. So far almost everyone was here. The anaconda knew where Killian was, so he wasn’t worried about that. But he did know why Seto was so protective over Yami. Just about everyone in the community did.
“He’s doing pretty well. He didn’t want me to go out, but he knows that it’s important. Everyone is here right?” Seto asked softly, looking at Anjay. He smiled toward Asp who slithered up to join them. So far everyone seemed to be present, except for Killian.
“I know how you feel. Mer didn’t want me to leave either, but he and Yami can talk amongst themselves. He’s been dying to talk to someone else about pregnancy and what they can expect. Well not literally dying…” Asp smiled.
“We’d hope not. The only difference is that Yami is carrying eggs, and Mer had live young. But he knows that everyone is different, and they get along great.” Seto smiled before he looked over the ridge. The humans just seemed to get closer and closer each time they looked.
Asp nodded, moving next to Seto. They had to plan something, and now. With new lives soon to make an appearance in this world, they had to act fast. The only downside was figuring out what to do. It was only a matter of time before things went horribly wrong.
“What are you two discussing? It was my belief that we were supposed to be thinking about what we’re going to do with the humans. Not talk about unborn children. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for those that are expecting. But this is not the time or place for it.” Killian spoke, slithering up next to the others. His yellow green eyes scanned the horizon, seeing the same thing the others saw.
“We know, Killian. We’ll save that for another day.” Seto replied, turning to look at the green naga for a moment. He knew that the other meant business half the time. And right now was one of those times. He would remember not to mention the fact of Yami expecting a clutch of eggs.
“Good. So what is our game plan today? We should go closer to the human encampment and see what they’re planning. However I will also need someone to stay here and keep an eye on things from here to make sure that whoever goes is not killed.” Killian started, moving next to Anjay.
“You already have it pretty much summed up I think. So whatever you think is best. I’ll stay behind with Asp so we can check back in on the others in town. Seto can stand guard and watch over you, or he’ll go. It’s up to either of you really.” Anjay spoke softly, looking up at Killian.
Sighing, Killian looked down at Anjay and put his hand on his shoulder lightly. He knew that his mate was worried about all of this, but he had taught him to try and stay calm in these situations. There were other reasons that he was worried too, but no one was going to know about it.
“How about I go with Seto, you watch over us and Asp can go and check on the others. Besides, I know you can’t do this much longer.” Killian smiled a rare smile, looking Anjay in the eyes. He just kept their conversation to a low whisper, since he didn’t want Seto or Asp to know yet.
“Of course I can do this. I have plenty of time before I can’t.” Anjay spoke softly before he reluctantly slithered close to the edge of the cliff. He wouldn’t dare jump off of it though; there was so much to live for.
“Anjay… you know I’m just worried for your well being. I’m not any good with this sentimental stuff. I love you alright? Just be careful… I’ll be back shortly. Trust me; the humans aren’t dumb enough to even try it.” Killian spoke softly before he went down the hillside.
Back in the village, Yami was pretty much bored out of his mind. He napped, then woke up and stared at the still vacant nest. Then just when he thought he couldn’t get any more bored, the doorbell rang. About time I got some company… I know it’s not Seto. He’s still out with the others. He thought as he got up from his bed and slithered over to the door. Smiling as he saw a red headed naga sitting on the other side.
“Ah, good afternoon. I didn’t mean to disturb you. I know how it is when you want to sleep but can’t. Or you’re too tired to sleep and every little noise wakes you up.” Mer smiled as he looked into Yami’s eyes. He still couldn’t get over the other’s tri colored hair, and crimson eyes. And his ears were pointed, but small. Plus he had very small horns as well, barely showing through his hair.
“It’s fine, Mer. Please, come in. Seto wanted me to talk to someone about pregnancy and all. But feel free to talk to me about anything else. I’m not really picky.” Yami smiled softly, letting Mer in before he closed the door behind him. He couldn’t help but pick up a slight Arabic accent in his voice.
“Oh wow… I didn’t even know you were expecting. You must be excited and nervous. I was when I was pregnant with Gato. I was happy, nervous and scared of how Asp would react to it. Luckily he was fine with it, but I had to keep it a secret. Long story really.” Mer smiled softly as he sat next to Yami.
Yami nodded, chuckling softly. He was nervous, and excited at the same time. He didn’t know how he would do this really, but what did he know? He didn’t even know how many eggs he would be laying or when they would come. Somehow he did understand Seto’s paranoia.
“Not everyone knew really. I’m just having eggs, so it would be more than one nagaling. I just don’t know how many yet. Maybe three or four. I’m hoping it’s not more than that… have you considered having any other children besides Gato?” Yami asked softly.
“We’ve talked about it actually. It’s been 20 years… so that’s a long time between siblings if we do have another one. And if there will be another one, I wouldn’t know yet. I haven’t felt ill or anything yet… so maybe not. But if I start eating weird things like peanut butter and tuna sandwiches then I might be.” Mer smiled. He didn’t know with Gato until he started showing a little bit.
“That sounds gross… but then again I’ve wanted weirder things. You seriously ate those? Anyway… I wouldn’t know about feeling anything move or whatever you felt with Gato. It’s weird just feeling eggs…” Yami spoke softly, occasionally looking out of the window.
Mer nodded and smiled softly. He understood Yami was worried, and probably felt a little bad that he couldn’t feel anything move. He looked out the window too, knowing that he should probably head back home soon. But he also didn’t want to leave a new friend either.
“You’ll be alright. If you want, I can be here and help you through the laying since this is your first clutch. Not that I know much about giving birth… I’ll find that out myself if everything goes well. But I can try to help, if anything I can be support.” Mer smiled, putting a hand on Yami’s stomach gently. He could feel about three eggs, maybe four.
“I’d appreciate that. I can probably use all the support I can get. I know that Seto will probably be busy when it happens. Especially if he’s out with your mate, Killian and Anjay.” Yami spoke softly, shifting his weight slowly. He curled his tail lightly, but nothing was really wrong.
Mer nodded and smiled softly before looking out the window. He saw Asp coming down the path, so he knew they must have been up to something. He sighed softly, knowing that Asp probably wanted him home. But he’d wait until his mate said something before he slithered off and assumed the worst. He had every right to spend time with his friends.
“Asp is coming down? What happened to Seto?” Yami was already in mass panic mode, only expecting to see Mer’s mate if something horrible happened. He saw the door open and sank down, his eyes closing all the way. But he had every right to assume the worst, especially if his mate was going in to do surveillance on the humans.
“Yami?” Asp asked, slithering over with a concerned look on his face. He wasn’t holding his stomach, so that wasn’t the problem. He sighed and gently put a hand on the other’s shoulder, figuring that Yami must have assumed he was going to give bad news.
“What happened… where is Seto? Tell me he isn’t dead…” Yami spoke softly, crimson meeting with orange. He had every right to be scared really, but he didn’t know that it was just preparation for anything that could potentially happen with the humans.
“Calm down. He’s fine. Killian went down to the village with Seto to do surveillance, Anjay is watching over them. If there is anything amiss, they’ll let me know and then I’ll tell everyone to get into their safe areas. I’m more worried about you, Yami. Can you handle a massive evacuation?” Asp asked softly, looking at the other for a brief second.
“Of course I can. But that won’t be happening for a long time right? By then I would have had the eggs and they’d be hatched. I have the utmost faith in you four; I know you won’t let anything happen to us down here.” Yami smiled, feeling a little better now. But he didn’t know how much longer it would be until he did lay the eggs. He had been feeling uncomfortable for a few days now.
“With any luck it won’t be happening for a long time. We can’t risk any losses, not with most of us starting families. Or those that are planning to expand theirs. Everything will be alright though.” Asp smiled, looking at Mer for a moment before directing his attention back to Yami.
Yami nodded, offering a light smile to what Asp had told him. So now all he had to do was relax and wait for Seto to come home. He had a feeling Mer would be leaving with Asp so he’d say his goodbyes now so he could rest up for the big day.
“Thank you… I suppose I’ll be seeing you when the eggs come.” Yami spoke softly, watching as Asp opened the door for Mercury. He could see that they loved each other very much.
“Of course. Mer will be here since I have a feeling I’ll be out with Killian and Anjay. Seto will try to be here with you as well, but you know how Killian is.” Asp spoke softly. He wasn’t trying to worry Yami at all, but everyone knew how the green naga was.
“I know. Take care alright? I’ll see you two later.” Yami smiled before he went back to lie down on the furs. He sighed softly, knowing that at any time there would be anywhere between 2 or even four eggs coming. Only time would tell though.
