Risks of Love

Gentle doe brown eyes gazing deep into sharp chocolate orbs,
begging for comfort, for a shelter from the cruel world.
A menacing smirk before the cold reply:

Enraged darkness ensnares the helpless light,
there is no resistance, there is no fight.
