A Secret Revealed
Chapter 1
Joey had a secret that he was to ashamed to tell his friends and family. He thought that if he told them they might think differently of him. His secret that he had kept hidden from everyone was that he was into other guys. He would go out on dates with girls just to make his friends think he liked them. Of course no matter how many dates he went on he was never in a solid relationship.
He couldn’t tell anyone his secret so he decided to write it all in a journal which he always kept with him. Yugi had asked Joey once why he had a journal and why he wouldn’t let anyone read it. Joey just told him that it was like an organiser and he just doesn’t want anyone reading it. So Yugi being the kind boy he is didn’t ask anymore questions, but unfortunately Joey never knew that having a personal journal lost and then found by someone you would never have thought of would make his world turn upside down.
It all happened on a Thursday the second to last day before their two week holiday. Joey had finished his day at school. He would always keep his journal in his desk with all his other books but when he took his books out he didn’t realise that his journal dropped on the floor. “Hey Joey do you want to come to the arcade with us” Tristan asked him. “Yeah sure that would be cool” he replied. He stood up and walked out the classroom with his friends not realising his personal journal had fallen on the floor. Though someone did and that someone was none other than Seto Kaiba. Kaiba walked over to Joey’s desk and picked the journal up of the floor. Kaiba was not sure if he should look inside but curiosity gets the best of people even Seto Kaiba.
He opened it up and saw some writing on the first page “talk about messy writing” Kaiba said to himself. He thought he might just read a bit to see what Joey had written in it.
It has been 6 months now and still I have kept the most biggest secret of my life from my friends and family. I don’t feel ashamed or any thing but I am just worried on what they would think of me if I told them.
I really wish I could tell them but my brain tells me to keep my mouth shut. The other day Tristan had asked me why I haven’t got a girlfriend. All the time I would have to come up with something to tell him. I guess he just must be a bit worried or something like that.
Kaiba kept reading, it was kind of interesting even though he knew what he was doing was wrong. How ever he wanted to know this big secret Joey was keeping from everyone and why he couldn’t tell his friends or family. Though Kaiba had a bit of a suspicion he couldn’t believe that. So he kept reading hoping to know what this all mighty big secret was.
I have kept this journal so then it would make this a lot easier for me. Having to keep something like this is quite difficult. I guess being into guys in stead of girls would of course be difficult especially for someone like me.
Kaiba was stunned he just looked at that one sentence ‘no way I mean I thought that was the issue but I never knew that I would be right’ Kaiba thought to himself. If he never read this he would never had known Joey was actually gay. This gave Kaiba an idea he could use this to make Joey’s life a living hell. An evil smirk came up on Kaiba’s face with this little plan he was coming up with and man did he like it. With this information he can finally put that mutt on a leash.
At the arcade Joey was playing a racing game until he looked at his watch and realised it was going on 5:00pm. “Sorry guys but I have to get going” he told his friends “ok Joey see you at school tomorrow” Yugi waved goodbye. Joey left the arcade and started to walk home, on his way home he decided to stop at a deli to buy a soft drink. He went into a small shop called ‘Deli’s Choice’ and grabbed himself a coke. He went up to the counter to pay for it “that will be $2.40 thanks” the cashier lady said. “Ok” Joey opened his school bag to look for his wallet he was searching around for it when he noticed his journal was missing. “What the heck” Joey was panicking because his journal was not in his bag. He ran of “hey” the cashier yelled after him but Joey was gone.
‘How, how on earth could I have lost it’ he thought to himself, all his personal stuff was in that journal. Including his secret which he didn’t want anyone to know. ‘What if someone found it and possibly decided to read it my secret well wouldn’t be a secret anymore’ he thought. Joey stopped in his tracks “no I cant think that now come on Joey think where did I last have it” he asked himself. He tried to think back when he remembered that the last place he had it was in his desk at school. ‘Could it be that I might have dropped it and didn’t even realise, well I have to go back to school and try and look for it’ he thought and ran towards his school.
Meanwhile Kaiba was home and decided to bring Joey’s journal with him. He still couldn’t get over the fact that Joey was into guys. He now knew why he went on so many dates but never had a girlfriend. It all made sense now all Kaiba just did was laugh, he walked up to his room and placed the book on his desk. He started to undress when he heard a knock on his bedroom door “yes what is it” he asked. “I am sorry to disturb you sir but lady Sofia is here to see you” Kaiba’s butler told him. “Huhh tell her I will be done in a minute” Kaiba told him “yes sir” and the butler walked of.
Sofia was the daughter of a very rich man by the name of Edward Wilson, Kaiba’s stepfather and her father decided to make an arrange engagement. Though before that was all decided Kaiba’s stepfather died from a very sick illness. And because nothing was signed or even lawly agreed upon no arrangement was made for those two to marry. Kaiba was rather relieved because he didn’t want to marry some sleazy blonde girl. Sofia on the other hand thinks that they are engaged and so she always comes over to Kaiba’s place when ever she feels like it. There are many men who think Kaiba is crazy not to marry her because she was rather beautiful. To Kaiba all she was, was a complete pain and wanted nothing to do with her what so ever.
Kaiba finished getting changed into something more of his liking than that stupid school uniform. “Well I might as well get rid of her quickly I have far more important things to do” he told himself. He walked over to his desk and picked the journal up ‘as for you, you will stay right here in my desk’ he said in his head why holding the journal. He placed the book in his top right draw in his desk which had a lock on it. He locked the draw and put the key in his front pocket on his pants. He then headed out the door and shut it behind him, he walked down the hall until he came to the stairs. He walked down them slowly and when he reached the bottom their sitting on his nice new lounge was Sofia. Which Kaiba thought the devil from hell as she was so persistent to marrying him.
She noticed Kaiba and stood up to face him then all of a sudden she ran up to Kaiba and gave him a huge hug. Kaiba didn’t like it how she was holding him so he pushed her of “don’t you know I hate being touched” he told her. “Oh Kaiba you can be such a meanie and when are we going to organise our wedding” she said. “I told you this before we are not getting married get that through your thick head, now get out of my house I don’t want to see you ever again you stupid blonde” he straight out and told her. He saw the tears in her eyes but he didn’t care he just walked away and headed to the stairs.
Sofia ran after him “WHY ARE YOU SO CRUEL KAIBA DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU” she told him raising her voice. Kaiba stopped half way up the stairs “I do understand however I don’t need your love” he told her and started to walk up the stairs again. Tears came straight down Sofia’s face she ran out of Kaiba’s house and slammed the door behind her. Kaiba heard the slam and he knew that he had finally gotten rid of her, Kaiba wasn’t a cruel person. He just knew that if anyone ever loved him they would get hurt because he was not the sort of person who can show true emotions to. That is why he would always keep away from people and mostly focus on his work.
