The Negotiation

They never got along, but they would have to this time, if they wanted to achieve their goal. Joey waited outside of Kaiba Corp. wondering when Kaiba was going to show. Joey looked down at his watch and huffed in frustration.
“I never should have gone through with it,” he said to himself. Kaiba was going on twenty minutes late and Joey was beginning to think that Kaiba was going to be a no-show. He didn’t know why he had ever agreed on meeting. As soon as he turned around, Kaiba’s charcoal stretch limo appeared. The back door of the limo pulled up right in front of Joey, and Kaiba stepped out as cool as you please. He stood, his dark blue coat flowing behind him as the limo quietly sailed away.
“It’s about time you got here,” Joey said.
“I’m the one who’s doing the bargaining so you’re doing everything on my time,” Kaiba said coldly. “Follow me.” Kaiba walked up to the front doors of his corporation made totally out of glass and steal. He did an iris scan at the door.
“Welcome, Seto,” the building said.
“Man, you have this thing trained,” Joey said. Kaiba just looked over his shoulder at him and smiled a cold smile; then they walked inside. Kaiba’s coat flew behind him as he walked; he walked confidently wherever he went. They walked over to Kaiba’s private elevator.
“You’re lucky, not too many people get enjoy this elevator,” Kaiba said.
“Sure,” Joey said. They walked into the gold elevator. Kaiba pushed the button for the one hundredth floor. The door closed very quietly and Kaiba looked over at Joey with twinkling eyes then he smiled. The smile sent a chill up Joey’s spine; he didn’t know whether it was out of fear or attraction. He had to admit that Kaiba was very attractive, but he wasn’t going to let him know that.
Kaiba was attracted to Joey, and he had Joey believing that he had come to negotiate with him over a new magic card. Joey would do anything to strengthen his deck and if it involved taking one of Kaiba’s cards that he didn’t want; then Joey would do anything.

Flashback…

“You’re willing to part with one of your cards for me, why?” Joey said.
“Sure, but the card isn’t coming out of my deck for nothing,” Kaiba said.
“I’ll do anything to get my hands on that swords of light card.”
“Really, I wouldn’t say that.”
“Oh, but you don’t understand. All of my magic cards are great, but that has definitely been one that I’ve been looking for,” Joey said a sparkle in his eyes. “But why’d you pick me to offer it to?”
“Well, let’s just say that I think that you’d be the one to benefit most from what I have to offer.”

Joey was smart, but sometimes he was so clueless and naïve. He wanted to be the best duelist in the land so badly that he often forgot what he was saying when he made deals. Kaiba admired Joey’s impetuousness and his determination. Joey fought to the end for the operation that would cure his sister’s blindness, even if he went into the duel knowing he was fighting a much better opponent.
Joey looked over at Kaiba, who appeared to be in deep thought.
“What could I ever give you that you don’t already have?” Joey asked.
“I don’t have everything,” Kaiba said quietly. Kaiba looked over at the rising numbers on the elevator…98…99…100. Kaiba let Joey step out of the elevator before him, so that he could admire the blonde. He had such a nice body, Kaiba could bet that no one even knew or would take the chance to find out when he offered. Mai and Tea had turned him down, and he had given up very easily. Maybe he didn’t want them as bad as he thought.
What Kaiba was about to do for Joey was something new. No one had ever made an advance on him, and Kaiba always got what he wanted. And he chased it until he conquered it…Joey was his new conquest.
“Sit,” Kaiba said as he walked behind his titanium desk and sat in his comfortable leather chair. Joey stood in front of his chair and looked at Kaiba.
“Sit,” Kaiba said in a firmer tone. Joey sat down and crossed his legs.
“Well, where’s the magic card?” Joey asked. Kaiba smiled and opened his drawer and pulled out his swords of light card; then slid it to the middle of the desk. Joey reached his hand out to take it.
“Ah, ah, ah,” Kaiba said waving his finger at Joey. “I don’t think we’ve made the negotiation yet. You have yet to hear my terms.” Joey settled back in his chair waiting for what Kaiba wanted. Kaiba stood, leaning forward on his desk, arms locked. Joey looked up into Kaiba’s cold blue eyes.
“In exchange for that magic card…I want…” Kaiba began. “To be with you for one night.” Joey’s face turned pale and he got up to run. Kaiba was behind him quickly, his hand wrapped around Joey’s wrist; then he spun him and pinned him against the desk. He was just an inch away from Joey’s face. Joey could feel Kaiba’s warm breath on his face.
“You said anything,” Kaiba whispered.
“I-I know, but…”
“I don’t think you can go back on your word. I’ve offered you the very thing that you want, now all I’m asking is that you give me what I want.”
“I don’t know about all this.”
“How bad do you want that card?” Kaiba asked pressing his hips into Joey’s. Joey’s eyes rolled back into his head and his breathing sped up.
“I think you like this,” Kaiba hissed in Joey’s ear. “Do you want that card?”
“Yes.”
“Then you know what I want.” Joey broke loose and skittered behind the chair he had been previously sitting in. Kaiba leaned back and hoisted himself up onto his desk and leaned back on his arms; then he pulled the card up and held it in front of Joey.
“The offer still stands,” Kaiba said placing the card over his crotch between his spread legs. Joey looked at the card and his face began to flush. He had to get out of there, so he sprinted for the elevator and ran inside.
When the elevator door closed, Kaiba smiled and said to himself,
“I think I’ve got him thinking.”
