Life's Uncertainties: True Love Requited or Not
**Seto’s P.O.V.**
As I walked towards the bridge, my memories bring me back to the last time I was here. I reach the railing and lean on it as I looked down into the cold water below. I close my eyes and allow my thoughts to wonder and think back on that terrible night, that night I had to say goodbye to you as you died in my arms.
**Flashback: 3 weeks ago**
" Hey mutt haven’t you learned your lesson yet?" Jou looked behind him to see a tall man in a white trench coat standing in behind him smiling. " Well look who it is...the rich boy is back in town. No I haven’t learned my lesson yet and you have nerve coming back here. What exactly is it that you want Kaiba?" Seto grinned and walked to him " Well I was just passing through when I saw you standing there, so I thought I might as well say hello." Jou blinked then glared at him turning his back on Seto. " I thought you said you were never coming back here again. Don’t tell me you had a change of heart" Seto looked at him " Listen Jou, I know we weren’t on good terms when I left, perhaps I was to rash in what I said..." Jou turned and glared at him " Gee you think..." Seto sighed and started walking away as Jou looked down shaking his head walking in the opposite direction.
**End Flashback**
Looking down into the water I wonder what my future holds now that you’re gone. The water seems to be calling to me as if it wanted me to jump and end the pain I was feeling. After not seeing you for all those years I thought coming back wouldn’t be a problem for me. But I soon found out that coming back didn’t make me feel any better about what I had done to you. Shaking my head I lean my back against the railing putting my hands in my pockets looking up into the sky the sun slightly behind the clouds. As I look up I could swear I heard you through the clouds, but I know you’re gone and I’ll never get you back. I close my eyes my mind goes further into the memories. I’m still in shock of what you said that night and of what happened, everyone says its not my fault but we both know it is. I look back down into the water and I realize what I have to do. I assure myself that Mokuba will be taken care of and watched over by Yugi and the others. I climb onto the railing and sit down holding on to the ledge then close my eyes remembering what your last words to me were and how hard you tried to live for me.
**Flashback: 1 week ago Third Person’s P.O.V.**
As Seto continued to work he heard someone come in, “ Go away can’t you see I’m busy?” Jou slowly opened the door and walked in anyway. “ Seto...I was hoping I could talk to you about something” Seto looked at him “ Jou can’t this wait until later I have to much to do here” Jou sighed “ Seto I need to talk to you its important so quite your working and let me say what I want to say before I back down” Seto looked back down and continued to work then sighed “ Tell you what Jou, I’m almost done here, let’s meet at the bridge in let’s say one hour?” Jou nodded “ Ok Seto one hour at the bridge” Jou closed the door and left as a man in the office next to him grinned and made a phone call letting the people on the other side know of Kaiba’s plan.
