Fukai Mori - 001
The woods just outside of Domino, Japan, were rumored to be haunted by evil spirits or monsters. They didn't look any different from ordinary woods; it had trees of all different kinds and sizes, all kinds of wild animals. The main thing was that there were so many trees, that hardly any sunlight got in, so it was unusually dark and cold.
No one dared enter those woods. At least, no one wanted to. High school students would dare each other to go in a spend a certain amount of time in there. Some would build a camp fire and attempt to spend the night, but someone, or something, had usually scared them away before night even fell.
Though, there was a young boy, currently running through the woods, running for his life. He wore nothing but a flimsy hospital gown; nothing protected his feet even. But he didn't care. As far as we was concerned, he had to get away.
It all started for him as a trip to a new country. He'd lived in Egypt all his life, and was finally able to get out and see the world. When this happened. He was walking down the busy Domino City streets one day, when a gang jumped him and nearly raped him. But the gang didn't know that their would-be victim had telekenetic powers. The boy hated using his powers in public; he'd always feared someone would find him and he'd end up in a science lab. Which is exactly what happened.
After using his powers to throw the guys off of himself, leaving them unconscious, he spotted a poliece officer staring right at him, having seen everything. He was arrested and turned in to the local science labs.
That was three months ago, and they were the worst three months of his life. All sixteen years of it. He found himself regretting having ever left Egypt. If he hadn't, none of this would've happened.
He was tested on and poked and proded for three long months. There was one experiment that went horribly wrong. The scientists wanted to test and see animals could be affected by the boy's telekenesis. Something with the machinery went wrong, causing the whole place to blow up; which led to the boy's quick escape. And which also led to him obtaining rabbit ears and a tail. He supposed he should be somewhat grateful; they could've used a lab rat instead of a rabbit y'know.
The boy's new ears had amazing hearing though, and he could easily hear the footsteps of his persuers behind him. "Hurry! We have to get him!"
The boy didn't understand a word of what they said. They spoke in Japanese, whereas he didn't know that language; he only knew Arabic and bits of ancient Egyptian. He pushed himself to run faster though, needing to get away, as he wasn't about to go back to their testing.

A figure flew high overhead, too fast for any mere human to see. 'Haunted,' he laughed to himself, 'Foolish humans.' The woods that the locals dubbed as 'haunted' weren't really haunted at all. They belonged to two demons, who chased out anyone who dared get too close. But the locals didn't know there were demons; they assumed it was a ghost.
Malik looked around, hovering in the air, high above the trees, his feathery black wings beating steadily behind him to hold him in midair. A slightly long tail extended behind the demon, the tip of it blazing on fire. The demon's hands had retractable claws, as well as his feet, which made for amazing climbing skills. He was a fire demon; he could make and control fire at his own will. His skin was an amazing tan colour, his hair reached shoulder length and was platinum blonde. His eyes were the most amazing feature; they were a light lavender colour.
Malik's eyes narrowed as he spotted a boy running through the woods. His woods. He growled, clenching his right hand into a fist, his fist becoming surrounded by fire. He threw the fireball right at the boy, barely missing him. The boy cried out, looking around for where it had come from. Malik swooped down, landing behind the boy silently, arms crossed and glaring menacingly, "Who are you and what're you doing here?"
The boy jumped and spun around, looking scared. "I-I don't.. speak... Japanese..." he said softly and Malik blinked, understanding him perfectly, before speaking in Arabic himself, "I said; what are you doing here?!"
The boy whimpered, opening his mouth to reply, before he snapped his head in the other direction; the scientists were still after him. The boy leaped behind Malik, "P-Please, don't let them take me! I do anything, just don't let them get me!"
Mlaik narrowed his eyes, growling at the scientists. They took one look at Malik, then exchanged glances with each other, before screaming, "THESE WOODS ARE HAUNTED!!!" and running back the way they came. Malik laughed, "What cowards," he snickered, then turned around, looking to the boy, "What's your name kid?"
"N-Namu," he whimpered, looking up at Malik with shocking purple eyes. Malik nodded, "You're from Egypt?" Namu nodded, getting ready to ask how Malik knew that. "I'm from Egypt too," he smirked, before the boy to ask, "And... what exactly ARE YOU?"
Namu whimpered, "I-I was human... those... scientists... they captured me and took me in, because they found out I have telekenetic powers. They were experimenting on me and... this... happened," he said softly, looking away.
Malik felt sympathy for him; he knew what it was like to be considered weird or a freak. "Well, you can come with me if you've nowhere to go," Malik offered, watching him. Namu looked at him quietly, nodding his head. "I'd appreciate that, thank you. If you don't mind my asking, what are you?"
"A fire demon," Malik shrugged, "I've been one my whole life. My boyfriend is one too; he's back at our home though. Come on; we'll take you home and let you get washed up and get some food."
