Yes this story totally happened to me! I was Jou and the guy was Kaiba. I made some changes so Kaiba would be more like Kaiba but ya the way Jou acts is the way I handled the situation and keep in mind Jou has liked Kaiba forever just like I liked this guy FOREVER! So if ya ever experienced this you know exactly how much this sucks

chapter 1

"Yugi," whispered a blonde boy with big honey-brown eyes, "I don't think I can do it!"
The other boy, who had crazy hair and purple eyes, whispered back, "Come on, Jou, I believe in you!"
Both were ducking behind a stand at Spencer's, spying on a tall brown-haired teen whose back was turned to them.
Yugi practically yelled, "Just go do it, Jou!"
"But I-- But I..."
Yugi gave him a scary glare that said, Get your ass moving!
"Fine, fine, I'm going! " whispered Jou
Man, thought Jou, Yugi can be a persistant little brat. Must be getting that from Yami.
The blonde made his way over to the brunette-- almost tripping twice-- until he was standing directly behind him. Jou cast a backwards glance towards Yugi and got a fierce glare and a Go on, do it! nod.
Jou turned back and was horrified to find that the teen was walking away. Jou panicked.
"W-W-Wait Kaiba!"
Kaiba turned around in mock surprise. "What is it, Mutt?"
Jou was too nervous to notice the insult. "I n-n-need to talk t-to you!"
Kaiba smirked. "Well, then, talk."
Jou stood there, bright red and sputtering his words and looking everywhere but at Kaiba. "W-W-Well I... I-- um--"
"Spit it out, I don't have all day!"
"Um, okay, I-- I l-l-like you!" Jou half-shouted and turned an even deeper shade of red, if that was possible.
Kaiba's response was one of the worst things you can say in this situation:
"I like you too, Jou, you're a good friend."
He said this with a sneer, then walked away as if nothing had happened.
Jou stood there petrified, a blank look on his face. After a few long seconds, he snapped out of his initial shock and found his way out of the store and to a mall bench.
Jou's Point of View
What the hell was that? What kind of answer was that?
Maybe he didn't get my question. Yeah, that's it, he must've thought I meant as friends. Or maybe he wants me to think that and get my hopes up and make a fool of myself again! I swear he liked me the way he flirted. Was that flirting? I guess name-calling and hitting each other is junior high flirting, but flirting nonetheless.
Who am I kidding, he was probably trying to make me wish I could cut out my vocal cords and never speak again... and, well, he succeeded. That jerk! Why do I fall for the jerks that never like me or treat me like dirt, or in this case, animals.
I demand a yes or no answer! None of this "Sure I do" bullshit! The goal of this damn class trip was to find out his intentions! I'll ask again!
Jou's Point of View :: End
Jou's thoughts were interrupted, as the chaperones were getting the students together so they could leave the mall. The next stop was Otogi's parents' mansion to have a BBQ.
Jou was one of the last to get on the bus. He sat next to his best friend Yugi.
Jou had the same blank look in his eyes.
"I guess it didn't go very well..." Yugi whispered.
Jou slowly shook his head.
"What happened?"
Jou recounted Kaiba's response to Yugi, and they decided Jou would try again at the BBQ.

All right what did you think? All of that pretty much was what happened to me except I was on a softball trip and he (the Guy) was on a baseball trip and the girls and guys met up a few times and the meeting at the mall was one of those few. The trip was an overnight trip so ya like about a weeklong. I didn’t want to go much into detail about it I just wanted to focus around the characters.
I happen to stutter really bad when I get nervous so I thought Jou would to even though its not really in his character but ya. And Yugi took the role of my best friend kari ya cant think of anything else any questions go ahead and ask and don’t forget to review thank you!
*Spencer’s by the way is a store that sell completely random adult stuff not a sex store but like weed jokes and sex jokes stuff and ya if ya ever been in there ya know what I m talking about
