Author’s Note: Rape is nothing to toy around with. Rape is a crime. Rape is not just a plot device that it is a real life crime that has aftereffects that cannot be soothed over by a quick screw from someone that they love. I have seen too many rape stories out there that make rape an enjoyable plot device to bring two characters together. It's not; it is a crime against women and men (if it is done to a man).
People may say wait a minute here; it is a plot device to bring two characters together! I disagree. Rape is not a plot device to bring two characters together; Rape is a crime. Rape is violence. Rape is not about sex, it is an act of brutal violence. All women want to be raped is a myth that has been romanticized in the media and it’s not true as women do not want to be raped - period.
If you do not believe me, ask your local police officer is rape a crime? You will find out that Rape is indeed a crime and one you can be locked up for.

The Assailant.
“Are you sure you want to walk home, Anzu? I could call you a cab?” asked Yugi, as he looked up from his card game he was playing with Jounouchi.
“I’m sure, Yugi. I don’t mind the walk home. I’ll be fine,” Anzu stated, as she waved bye to the others. Bakura and Malik were already busy checking out the new cards that they had purchased earlier from Grandpa Motou as Honda was looking at his own deck. Jounouchi was busy looking at his hand figuring out which card to play. “Bye guys, I’ll see you tomorrow,”
“Night Anzu,” they yelled or waved bye to her as she headed down the stairs and out of the Game Shop.
Anzu paused outside of the store and pulled on her jacket as it was a tad chilly on that August evening. She walked down the street and towards home, never realizing that her life was about to change - for the worse, as she was yanked into a dark alleyway.
~~~~~~~
The next morning at school, Anzu never showed up for the first hour of school. Yugi felt that she overslept at home and would be rushing into class any moment now. Yugi kept an eye out on the door as the day progressed. By the time lunch came around, Jounouchi and Honda were worried. Yugi dropped in a quarter and dialed her home phone. Yugi waited, left a message and then hung up.
“So where is she, Yug?” Jounouchi asked, hands in back pocket. “I never seen her miss school before,”
“I’m not sure. It is odd of her not to come to school. Think she’s okay?” asked Yugi, looking at the two boys.
“Yeah, she probably had an appointment with a doctor or the dentist. Don’t worry, Yugi,” said Honda.
“Hi Yugi, Honda, Jounouchi,” spoke a voice coming from behind them.
Yugi turned to see . . . “Hi Bakura, how are you?”
“I’m good. Seen Anzu lately? She promised to help me with one class.”
“No, haven’t seen her since last night at the shop. Have you?” asked Yugi, looking at the white haired teen.
Bakura shook his head. “Have you called her home?”
“Yeah, he did no luck there,” Honda said.
“Well, we could go past her home on our way home and see if she’s there?” Bakura suggested.
“That’s a good idea, Bakura. We’ll do that,” Yugi replied, as they headed towards the school building as the first bell alerting the students that school was about to begin.
~~~~~~
“That was a big bust!” Jounouchi moaned, as he held the door open for the others to enter the store. “She didn’t even leave a note for us.”
“Well, something must have came up that she didn’t have time to leave us a note, Jounouchi,” Honda stated, as they headed to the living quarters of the game shop.
“Hi grandpa,” Yugi said, as he went past his grandfather.
“Hi Yugi, hello boys, I got some new cards in. Do you want to take a look at them?” He asked.
“Maybe after we’re done with our homework, grandpa,” Yugi said, as he held up his book bag.
“Okay,” He went about his job refilling the nearly empty card holders, tending to the customers as they came in and out buying new cards and games.
Ring! Ring!
“Game shop, Sugoroku, Motou speaking. How may I help you? Yes, he’s here. Yes, I’ll get him for you. One moment,” Sugoroku said. He went to the bottom of the stairs and yelled up for Yugi. The patter of feet was heard as Yugi came running down the stairs. “Phone for you,”
“Moshi, moshi, Motou, Yugi speaking?” asked Yugi. His eyes went wide after a few seconds on the phone. “Is she…alright? Yes, I know the hospital. Yes, I’ll be there, domo. Grandpa, Anzu’s in the hospital, I must go to her,”
“Tell the others I’m sure she’ll love to see her friends by her side.” Sugoroku said, as he watched as the young teen race back up the stairs. Sugoroku just flipped the closed sign when he heard the yells of shock coming from the boys up stairs.
“What do you mean she’s in the hospital?” yelled a voice clearly defined as Jounouchi.
“That’s what the officer said, Jounouchi,” Yugi said, as they descended the stairs.
“Come now, we’ll get to the hospital faster by my vehicle,” Sugoroku said. The other boys piled into his car as he drove towards the hospital.
The next chapter is coming.
