Summary: A Duelist Returns from a trip to egypt and Zane is no longer the top duelist on the island.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything here. So you can't sue cause all I got is my apartment. my job (it doesn't pay much), And a few yu-gi-oh cards that I have collected and turned into a tournament winning deck.
and this story does show off my geek ness.
It was a good day today. The sun shining brightly. Good Day today.
A ship was about to dock at the Duel Academy Docks and When it did only one person left the ship. In a golden jacket.
*during class about 10 min after the ship docked*
“Now if I play the trap card gravity bind what happens?” Dr. Crowl (he he Growl) said
A Few students here and their raised their hands. Two Slifers, Three Ra, And two obelisks.
“OK then how about..”
“Gravity Bind causes All level 4 or higher monsters to not attack.”
Everyone looked at the back entrance of the classroom. A teen Standing their in a gold Jacket was the one who answered.
“Matt your back. I thought you went off in search of the legendary card you wanted.”
Matt walked down 4 stairs before he answered back with “I found them. And I put them where they belong. In a tomb in Egypt.”
“oh, that’s to bad. But you back and that’s good. Now we sorta no longer have your dorm room because you were gone for 3 years you know. So do you mind if you go back to your old dorm room?”
“Sure I liked that one better anyway. By the way. Who is the best duelist on the island now?”
“oh that would be Zane. He is quite a natural. You know.”
“Heh, I thought so. Where is he?”
“I believe He is at a tournament in Japan, though he should be back in a few weeks.”
“damn. Well I’m outa here then.”
“wait you can’t go its against the rules. Even if your are the only person to become an Exodian. You can’t skip class”
A few people gasped when they heard that. “fine then. If I can’t skip class I’ll teach it and give you a break.”
“ok sure go ahead.”
“ok then” Matt walked down to the front of the class and said
“ ok then I am the only person to become an member of Exodia. And I will hopefully not be the last. Cause I know at least one person that is on this island, even though he isn’t on the island right now. But anyway I’m Matthew. Call me Matt though. Now, Most people use their favorite cards in their decks or the most powerful. But that’s not the way to go sometimes. If you cannot win with your current deck 5 times in a row. Then I suggest you get a structure deck of cards that you usually don’t use. For example if you have a spell caster deck, I suggest switching to a warrior deck. And for those just using random cards. I suggest Getting a water deck. But for those who can win five duels in a row. I suggest you find your weakest point and advance it. Like if your deck has to many spells or traps. I suggest you get rid of a few spells or traps and replace them with monster cards that can bring back other cards from your graveyard or monster cards that bring cards from your deck to the field. Now I’m going to show you might favorite deck in a duel.” Matt looked around the room and then saw Jaden.
“You Slifer. Whats your name?”
“who me? I’m Jaden Yuki, the next king of games.”
“¼..Yeah, you have potential. But lets see that in a duel shall we?”
“Yeah! Get your game on!”
And so The class moved to the duel arena.
Matt and Jaden Stood on the platform and began their duel.
“I’ll go first” Jaden drew his card. “I summon my elemental hero Avian in attack mode. And I’ll end my turn with a face down.”
“hm not bad.” Matt drew. “I play the field magic card A legendary Ocean.” A Sea of water flooded the ground around them and a giant maze of bricks rose from the ground. Until it looked like an old town. “then I summon my Mermaid Knight in attack mode.” and a Mermaid With a sword and shield appeared. “now Mermaid Knight Attacks.” “that’s where your wrong. I play my Facedown Card. A hero Barrier!” An invisible wall stopped the mermaid knight from attacking Avian. “that doesn’t help you.”
“what?!” Because A Legendary Ocean has another effect besides lowering my water monsters by one level and increasing their attack and def by 200. It also acts as “umi” And when the field card “umi” is on the field my mermaid knight can attack twice. So go mermaid knight attack again!” This time the mermaid knight hit Avian. And Jaden lost 700 Life points. “I’ll end my turn with two facedown cards.” Jaden drew his next card. I play monster reincarnation. I discard one card from my hand and bring back My Elemental Hero Avian back to my hand. Now I play polymerization! I fuse together my elemental hero Avian And My Burstinatrix To form Elemental Hero Flame Wingman! Now Flame Wing Man Attack!.”
“that’s where your wrong. I play my trap card Gravity bind.”
“what! Aw man. I guess that’s why he knew what that card does. I guess. I’ll Summon my Elemental Hero Clayman in defense Mode.” Clayman appeared in a flash of light.” Matt drew.
“Bingo. I tribute my Mermaid knight and Bring out my Mobius the frost Monarch. And I use his effect to destroy gravity bind. Now Mobius Attack his Flame wingman!” Mobius roared and punched Flame wingman with an ice punch. Jaden lost 500 life points. “I’ll end my turn with another face down card”
Jaden Drew “I guess I’ll play another polymerization! I fuse my Clayman With my Bubbleman to form Elemental Hero Mudball man! In defense mode! And I end my turn” Matt drew
“I’ll end this now I use the spell card Big wave small wave. It destroys all water monsters on my side of the field and I am allowed to summon the same number of water monsters to the field and since I have one water monster on the field I can only summon one monster. And I chose My Levia-dragon Daedalus. But that’s not the end of it I tribute my Levia-Dragon to Summon My Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo Daedalus. But now I use his special effect by removing “umi” from the field I destroy every card on the field and in our hands except My Ocean Dragon Lord. And now My ocean Dragon lord attacks you directly And you have lost this duel.” And everything disappeared. The entire class was talking and murmuring. Matt walked up to Jaden and held out his hand “it was a good duel Jaden you have the potential to become and Exodian like Zane has but, you’ll go much more further than he will. Just give it time. And until he gives you a second card.” Jaden shuck Matt’s hand “yea it was a good duel. And that last move was awesome. But who is he?”
“You’ve met him, he gave you the card you can see. Just like he gave me two of my cards I can see.”
“oh you mean the king of games?”
“Yeah him. He only gives cards to those who have the potential to replace him. But I chose a different path than to be king of games. And he knew I would. Just like he knew you would chose your path. But enough of that. Class is now over! Please go out and do some of my suggestions and you might be good enough as Jaden to be beaten by my Ocean Dragon Lord.” He laughed and a slight chuckling went around the arena as they all left. “Now Jaden about your deck. You have good cards. And I’d like to give you one of my cards I don’t need anymore.” He pulled out his deck and gave Jaden a card. “You Mobius the Frost Monarch?!?!?” “well actually that’s a spare of mine that I don’t use. And you’ll have more chances to use him than me. Cause after that little duel I don’t think anyone would want to duel me. Just the way I like it. Now I gotta o find someone. I’ll see you at the Slifer dorms later.”
“yea later”
