The Pheonix Rises From The Ashes

Told by Yami no Marik's POV
I stand in nothing but shadows and lies...how my heart clenches to hear the pain filled screams surrounding me.
Music to my ears...the bloodlust and tyrrany of all this is breathtaking.
My shadow is all I feel...I seek to rise no more against the world, but feel the agonizing pain of the hatred inside me.
My hikari supposedly gave me life, his anger boiled and his hatred caused me to kill that bastard of a father. Everyone blamed the pharaoh for my appearance. Heh, like I cared? He should be here and not me...I should rule the world.
But yet a soft glow is in my heart...I feel it take me away and fly.
Feathers of fire wrapped tightly around my body, the sound of a freebound screech in my ears.
Talons that clamp tightly on my shoulders drawing unseen blood.
My eyes shut tightly as my arms outstretched to feel the wind through my hair and feel the course of flight.
My carefree soul is reborn now as I float in nothing, that feeling of heat surging through my body.
Like the warmth of the sun above my head. The talons lift me through the skies onward to freedom.
My soul lives again...my life is back to where it should be. The evilness inside me stirrs from within.
A pheonix I have become as my body merges with the one monster that has taken me hostage.
My eyes, becoming eagle and bright, see everything as the heat courses through my veins.
The Shadow Realm but a vacent memory in my mind.
For there is nothing there, but the big skies above me...like a pheonix that has risen from the ashes, so have I.
I have conqured the shadows, released my soul into the heavens and gained a second chance.
And I won't let them down on this...my second chance will be my revenge.
My second chance for freedom, the world should beware my wrath.
And this time...I'm not alone.
For within me is a creature that rises with the ashes...the monster born within me.
And together NOTHING can stop us from taking over...NOTHING!
My laughter fills my lungs as I grin...now it's our chance. Now's our turn.
My monster has served me well...my loyal servant. I remember the chant and I scream it fully to the top of my lungs:
Great beast of the sky please hear my cry
Transform thyself from orb of light
And bring me victory in this fight
Envelop the deserts with your glow
And cast your rage upon my foe
Unlock your powers from deep within
So that together we may win!
Enter this Shadow Game as I call your name:
THE WINGED DRAGON OF RA!!!
