My steps pound down on the pavement of the sidewalk, long, aggressive strides. I am still fuming with anger. After I had awoken, it was much later in the morning, so I got dressed and stormed out of the Kame Game shop. The Tomb Robber! It was the Tomb Robber! The white hair, the sharp eyes, the unique scar across his cheek, there was no doubt that it was him. I knew immediately that my dreams couldn’t have been a past memory. The first time I met the Tomb Robber was in the daytime, he was running from the guards and got caught. He was then brought to me and I sent him to the dungeon. THAT was the first time I met him, and I never had sex with him. He must have used his magic somehow to make me dream those things, as some pathetic attempt to win me over. How low can a person sink? How dare he! How dare he!

I continue my way down the roads until I reach Ryou’s house. It is only ten-thirty, there is no reason why he shouldn’t be here. I was going to give him a piece of my mind. I approached the front door and began to pound on it ferociously. I do not stop until I hear a lock come undone and Ryou opened the door.

“Pharaoh! Ohay-” I don’t let him finish. I stomp into the room and begin to shout.

“Where is he?! Where is he?!” I yell. Ryou shuts the door behind me.

“You mean Yugi? He’s in the living room, Pharaoh, what’s wrong?” I head into the living room, ignoring Ryou’s question. Yugi was sitting on the couch, facing the other way. He stands up, looking at me. He is clearly confused as to why I’m here. I look over to the left and see him. There he is, his body draped over a chair sluggishly. He looks over at me with slight curiosity. How can he just sit there and look at me like that? This enrages me further. I rush towards him and grab the scruff of his shirt roughly, lifting him up.

“Tomb Robber! What exactly are you trying to do to me?!” I scream at him. He is taken completely offguard by my actions, so I take advantage of it. I thrust him upon the wall beside us, pushing him up against it with my hands still on the scruff of his shirt.

“I don’t know how you’re doing it or why, but you are to stop it right now!” I scream at him again. Yugi and Ryou rushed over to me, trying to pull me off the Tomb Robber.

“Pharaoh, please stop this!”

“Yami, what’s gotten into you?!”

I ignore the two Hikari’s, scowling at the Tomb Robber. He glares at me, then pushes me off him with just one push. I stumble backwards, furious with his actions. How can he just stare at me like he doesn’t know what’s going on. The rotten wretch! He knows perfectly well what I’m talking about. I lunge towards him, but am quickly held back by the Hikari’s once again. The Tomb Robber straightens his shirt before he sets his glare on me once again.

“What in Ra’s name is wrong with you?” He hisses at me.

“Don’t you try to act like you don’t know, you snake!” I yell at him, struggling to break free of the Hikari’s grips. I could easily push them both down, but I don’t want to hurt them.

“Yami!” Yugi shouts at me. I turn to him. His eyes were blazing with anger.

“If you don’t stop this and explain what’s going on right now, you have to leave!” He yells. He looks like he is on the verge of tears. I stop struggling against them, my anger slightly faded.

“Very well, Yugi.” I reply weakly, wounded by his angered eyes. I would never do anything to upset my aibou. This is the Tomb Robber’s fault, he’s done this to me.

“Why are you so upset with the Thief King, Pharaoh?” Ryou asks me in a pleading voice. I whip my head around, scowling at the Tomb Robber once again. He’s standing with his arms crossed, a more so puzzled look on his face than angry.

“He’s been using the Millenium Ring to invade my mind!” I spit out. Ryou and Yugi gasp. The Tomb Robber cocks an eyebrow at me.

“What?! I’ve done nothing of the sort.” He huphs.

“Liar! No one else could have done it! You’ve been manipulating my memories!”

“You’re delusional! The Ring can’t even do anything like that.”

“The full powers of the Ring are still unknown, you must have been the one invading my dreams!”

“Well I know what the Ring can and cannot do, and it doesn’t- wait, dreams?” He inquires. He steps closer to me, his hands now on his hips.

“You had some kind of a bad dream, and you’re blaming it on me? That is truly pathetic.”

“It was disguised as a past memory, which are different from dreams!” I am sick of arguing with him, I know what he did! Yugi and Ryou both turn to me.

“Yami, you shouldn’t really blame Bakura for this, it sounds like you don’t know for sure if it was him or not.” Yugi says to me.

“Maybe it was a past memory.” Ryou suggests. I shake my head.

“It can’t be, it contradicts another memory of mine.” I inform him. The Tomb Robber then approaches me, a suspicious expression on his face.

“What happened in this dream?” He asks. His intense gaze causes me to shift my eyes away, and I can feel myself blushing.

“Well, um, it was night… at the palace… you were there… look, I’m not going to play these games, you know what you did!” I shout at him. He looks very confused.

“That’s not very descriptive, at night in the palace with me there, there must have been more-” He stops. His eyes widen, a very peculiar look on his face. Suddenly, he starts to chuckle. At first, that’s all he does, but then it gets louder and louder, and soon he’s laughing so hard his eyes begin to water. I feel like I’m ready to explode from anger.

“I don’t find your sick games amusing, Tomb Robber!” I snarl at him. Yugi and Ryou also look at him with confused expressions. He finally calms down, but his attitude becomes very haughty.

“I hate to ‘burst your bubble’ as the saying goes, but I’m afraid that dream of yours wasn’t some kind of illusion. It did in fact happen.” He sneers at me.

“Liar!” I shout at him. Yugi touches my arm, and I look over to him.

“Yami, what is it that you remembered?” He asks me. Before I can reply, the Tomb Robber does.

“He’s remembered the first time he met me.” He states. He is truly getting pleasure out of watching me squirm. Yugi looks perplexed.

“But, I thought you already remembered that, Yami.” He says.

“I did! So that’s how I know that this so-called ‘memory’ is a fake! I met the Tomb Robber in the daytime, he was being chased by guards and-”

“Not so, Pharaoh. That was the second time we met. The first time was as you’ve recalled, it was at night and in your bedchambers.” He smirks at me. I feel myself weakening, having a difficult time defending my story. The Tomb Robber turns to Ryou at this point.

“Hikari, do you remember a few days ago when I was telling you this? The Pharaoh caught me stealing from him, but he agreed to let me go if I did him certain ‘favors’?” Ryou’s eyes widened, and he turned to me.

“THAT’S what you’ve remembered?” He asks.

My whole body feels like it’s shutting down, my knees suddenly feel so weak. They buckled beneath me, but Ryou and Yugi caught me quickly and guided me over to the couch. My mind is in a complete daze. I manage to see Yugi raise an eyebrow.

“What kind of favors?” He inquires, his voice taking on a concerned tone. I don’t know whom he’s asking. But the Tomb Robber replies.

“It was at night and in his bedchambers. Even YOU should be able to figure it out, little Yugi.” He snickers. I just want the whole world to open and swallow me whole. I can’t believe what I’m hearing, that was… real? Yugi comes over and sits down on the couch next to me.

“Yami, were you two, like, a couple or something?” He asks. I can’t even bring myself to look up. I bury my face in my hands.

“Oh Ra… it’s true…” I mutter. I hear the Tomb Robber snort with disgust.

“By Ra, is it really so horrible?” He then turns to Yugi.

“And we were a lot more than just a couple, as you put it. We went farther within a few minutes than you and Ryou have gone in your entire relationship! Although I do admit, he was a very easy virgin to break into, I’ve never seen a man take it so well his first time…” I slammed my fist onto the coffee table. All eyes turn to me. I shot up out of my seat.

“That’s enough! How can you just stand there and mock me like that?! You are truly despicable, you hear me?! By the Gods, I can’t believe I was regretting rejecting you!” I scream at him. All three faces suddenly become shocked, and it is only then that I realize what I just said.

“Wh-what?” The Tomb Robber stammers.

“Really?” Ryou responds.

“…You rejected him?” Yugi remarks, clearly confused. He turns to the Tomb Robber.

“That must mean that you… you love him?!” He exclaims. The Tomb Robber doesn’t respond. His eyes are locked onto mine. We can only stare at each other.

“Why didn’t anybody tell me?!” Yugi pouts. Ryou put his arms around Yugi’s shoulders.

“Yugi, koi, perhaps we should give these two a moment?” Ryou suggests. Yugi looks at the Tomb Robber, then at me.

“Oh… okay, sure.” He says, and the two of them left the room, heading upstairs.

I continue to stand there motionless. I don’t know what to say or how to say it, or even where to begin. He continues staring at me, his face softened. I slowly approach him, until we are only standing a few feet apart.

“Thief King, I… I’m so sorry I accused you of those things. I was… truly out of line, and very much in the wrong. Can you forgive me?” I might as well start like that. He blinks, then awkwardly shifts his gaze away, attempting to regain his composure. He crosses his arms.

“I’m not sure that I can.” He says in the most arrogant tone he can muster, but I can see right through that act.

“Perhaps I can make it up to you.” I say, regaining much of my confidence back.

“How?”

“How about… maybe… a… date?” I fumble through my request. His eyes widen, and then he turns his back to me.

“Well… I’ll think about it.” He responds. I can see that he turned around to hide his face from me. Probably because he had an expression of joy on it. I chuckle lightly.

“Can we come out yet?” I hear my Hikari ask. I turn around, and see that he and Ryou are standing at the doorway, peeking their heads out.

“Suit yourself.” The Thief King answers. The two Hikari’s step out, and Yugi comes up to me.

“Yami, can I talk to you alone for a sec?” He asks me. I nod, and we both head towards the kitchen.

“Ryou told me everything.” He says as soon as we are out of earshot. I feel my heart sink down. Ryou must have told him how I felt about him.

“Everything?” I inquire.

“Uh-huh.” He responds.

“Are you…. angry with me?” I ask him. He shakes his head.

“No, but I wish you told me.”

“I didn’t want to hurt you, Aibou.” Yugi takes my hand and smiles at me.

“Yami, I love you. I don’t care if you have something to say to me that may hurt me. I just don’t want there to be any secrets between us.” His smile brightens. I smile softly, and use my free hand to stroke his cheek.

“I love you to, Yugi. And I’m sorry. I promise there will be no more secrets between us.”

Right then, Ryou came into the kitchen.

“Hey Yugi, we were going to meet Jounouchi and the others in town today, remember? We should get ready.” He tells him

“Oh! Right!” Yugi realizes. He quickly turns to me.

“Do you want to come with us, Yami?” He asks me. I smile.

“Yes, I would like that.”
