Everything You Want
Part One

'You're not taking the puzzle, Aibou?' Yami asked as Yugi set the said object on his pillow. That thought bothered the former pharaoh greatly.
Yugi shook his head, blonde bangs bouncing to and fro with the movement.
"Not tonight, Yami."
'I suppose it's for the best,' the darker couldn't keep the disappointed sigh from escaping, but Yugi didn't seem to notice, 'I shall respect your privacy.'
"Thanks," the little one said, taking one last glance in the mirror. He then headed downstairs to meet his date, leaving a saddened Yami behind.
'Not even a 'Goodbye', Aibou?' the former Pharaoh thought, 'Yugi, have we grown that far apart?'
The spirit sighed and sat down on the bed, head in his hands. He couldn't stop the tears from flowing. He hurt. Gods did he hurt! Did he really mean so little to his young light now? What had he done to push Yugi away? He kept his feelings for his young charge locked deep inside, heavily guarded in the deepest recesses of his mind. He knew Yugi would never feel the same way, but that only made it hurt worse.
'I have to let him know,' he resolved, 'even if the feelings aren't returned. Then maybe I'll feel better about this...'
Yami curled up on his side and cried until sleep took him into her arms, her hold offering little comfort.

Yugi arrived home later than he'd expected. He toed his shoes off at the door and made his way to the kitchen. He hoped to find Yami waiting for him, but there was no one. As quietly as he could, he climbed the stairs to his bedroom. The door opened without a sound, and Yugi slipped inside, his eyes going to the puzzle resting on his pillow. He let out a soft gasp when he saw the spirit lying upon his bed asleep.
Yugi gazed upon the sleeping Pharaoh in awe. He was simply beautiful, even if he was transparent. His gracefully angular features seemed to catch the light of the full moon, giving him even more of an ethereal glow. His full, supple lips were slightly parted, incoherent mumbles escaping every so often.
The violet eyed boy's heart fluttered up into his throat, and he had to swallow it back down for fear that his other would hear it's loud pulse. His yami would never care for him 'that' way.
'He's my guardian, nothing more.'
Yugi felt tears well up in his eyes at the thought. He sat down on the bed, and the spirit's eyes opened.
'Yugi...' the tenor drifted into his mind.
"I'm sorry," Yugi whispered, "Did I wake you?"
'It's alright, Aibou,' Yami replied, 'I know you were starring at my face.'
Yugi's felt the blood rush to his cheeks at the intense crimson gaze locked on his.
"Yami... I..."
A single ghostly finger to his lips silenced him. He could see the multitudes of emotions flooding the other's eyes, and he swallowed hard.
'It couldn't be!'
The spirit leaned in and replaced fingers with lips. Yugi's senses reeled, and his world faded to black.

End Part 1

Jams: Well that's it for the first part... You guys should feel lucky that I'm posting this all at once, otherwise this would be considered a cliffie.
Yami Plushie: Good things come to those who wait. Patience is a virtue.
Seto Plushie: Would you knock it off with all the philosophical crap! You're giving me a headache.
Yami Plushie: All the more reason to keep doing it. ::grin::
Seto Plushie: ::deadpans:: I hate you.
