Summary: Seto learns of new holiday and decides to celebrate it.
Evil Malik Doom Dollie: Jams, question. What the HELL is Sweetest's Day?
Seto Plushie: That's what I'd like to know.
Jams: It's a Michigan Hallmark holiday. It's like another Valentine's Day.
Seto Plushie: Hmmph, money maker.
Jams: Exactly. And we're always slammed at the store the night before. 'Cause 'round here, if a guy forgets Sweetest's Day, he's on the couch.
Neko Jounouchi: So Dragon, What'd ya get me? ^___^
Seto Plushie: ::snorts::

Happy Sweetest's Day
Seto gripped the small package tightly in his left hand. He couldn't believe he was doing this, he didn't even like the mutt. All right maybe he did, but he would never tell that to anyone. Then why was he giving such an expensive gift to said mongrel in broad daylight? Who knew, but he wasn't about to back down now. Not with the pup in his sights.
Target locked on.
Engaging main thrusters.
Destination confirmed.
Establishing communications. [1]
Seto shook his head before speaking.
"Mu... Jounouchi, may I have a word with you," he glanced at the blonde's friends, "alone?"
Honda bristled.
"Whatever you have to say to Jou, you can say it in front of us," he challenged.
Seto shot the other brunette a glare before turning his attention back to Jou. Jounouchi scratched the back of his neck, He was about to turn him down, until he caught a look in the icy CEO's eyes that he had never seen there before. A kind of imploring look.
"Ok, Kaiba," he said, "we'll talk privately."
Honda opened his mouth in protest as Kaiba led Jou away from them, but closed it again when Yugi started lecturing him about Jou's privacy. Jou snickered inwardly at Yugi's animated voice [2], until it faded as he stepped out of earshot.
"All right Kaiba, what's on your mind?"
The other boy's left hand started twitching noticeably, gripping and ungripping some unseen object. Jounouchi found that odd.
"Kaib..." he was cut off.
"Look, I'm not good at this, so here!"
Seto thrust the package at Jou and quickly strode away before the questions could reach the other's lips.
'One step at a time Seto.'
Jounouchi stood there, holding the small bundle in his palm, a dumbfounded look on his face. Shaking his head in disbelief, he tore into the gift. Inside the black velvet box was an intricate Blue Eyes White Dragon pendant made of white gold, a sapphire set for the eye. Jou pulled the beautiful piece from it's resting place and let it dangle in front of his eyes by it's silver chain. The eye caught the light, and it almost seemed as though the creature were alive.
'Why would Kaiba give me this?' he wondered.
As if on cue, his eyes caught sight of a small, folded piece of paper tucked inside the lid.
'A letter?'
He read it and was surprised by it's contents.
Jounouchi,
I'm not good at this so I'll be brief. Whilst researching for that 'Holidays Around the World' report, I stumbled across one that struck me as odd. Frankly I've decided to celebrate it, so Happy Sweetest's Day. I must ask you not to approach me on this, I'll come to you. I guess what I'm trying to say is I like you. So again, Happy Sweetest's Day Jounouchi.
Seto
Jou slipped the chain around his neck and tucked the pendant under his shirt. He would take Seto's words to heart. One step at a time.
'So he doesn't LIKE ME like me, but he does like me,' he thought, 'that means...'
"I'm halfway there,"[3] he finished aloud, "Happy Sweetest's Day Seto."
