Tourmenting Souls

 Prologue

There were screams and yells heard through the streets of Egypt many people running from the pharaoh’s guards. "Come on we have to get out of here!!" A young boy around the age of 17 yelled not daring to look back. "Wait big brother don’t leave me alone!" the little girl cried out reaching out for her brother.

"Hurry up before…" The words fell on deaf ears when a spear pierced his chest. "BIG BROTHER!" The young girl yelled out running towards him. Maybe, just maybe she could save him. "Not so fast you little witch." One of the pharaoh’s guards yelled out pulling her hair. The little girl cried out wishing that this pain was over.

"We’ve been looking for you did you think that you could hide from the pharaoh for long?" A new voice said which made her look up. It was the high priest glaring down at her. "Leave me ALONE!!" The girl yelled trying to pull from the guard’s grasp. "Send her back to the palace the pharaoh wants to see her." The young girl whimpered when she was pulled by her hair to one of the horses.

"Brother…" The young sniffled when she saw the high priest order the body to be removed from the streets.

"We found her and her brother needless to say her brother wasn’t that fortunate." The high priest said while bowing down before the pharaoh. "Very well bring her in." The deep voice ordered. Seth bowed and left soon returning with the girl bound in chains. "I never thought that you would get away…again Niyu too bad for your brother." The one named Niyu looked up at the Pharaoh and growled in annoyance her creamy skin covered in blood and dirt.

"You know why I had to do this Niyu…your too dangerous I don’t know how you gained the power of the shadow realm…I won’t put Egypt in danger." Niyu growled and struggled against her binds. "You killed my whole family you knew I was the only one who had this…this curse!" Yami growled when she said that. "Watch your tongue when you speak to the Pharaoh." Seth said gripping her neck.

"Take her too the dungeons I’ll decide a punishment for her later." Yami said while turning to his other business. Niyu growled in pain when the guards laughed in amusement while they pulled her where the other slaves on death row was kept. Niyu yelled in pain when she was thrown in and hit the stone wall. "Well, well look what we have here." A deep voice said which made Niyu look at the darkest part of the cell she was in. There was a guy around her age his hair was a dusty brown and she could see his chilling green eyes. "I’ve heard of you girl you’re the one who stole that necklace from the pharaoh!" Niyu just rolled her eyes why did she have to be locked in with some stupid idiot?

"Yes I’m Niyu so will you please stop talking you’re giving me a headache." Niyu muttered under her breath. Niyu was suddenly regretting taking something from the pharaoh and use her gift from Ra to bring back the ones she lost due to the hands of the one who ruled over Egypt. Niyu sighed and pulled her knees up to her chest and rested her chin on them. No use of trying to do anything now Niyu. Yami is probably going to kill me Niyu thought while she drifted off into a very worried sleep.

"Wake UP!" a deep crackling voice yelled and Niyu felt some one pulling on what was left of her raggy shirt. Niyu opened her brown eyes in pain and looked up. It was one of the pharaohs guards…the one that killed her brother! The black haired guard sneered down at her his back beady eyes staring at her. "Your still here are you after what you did you embarrassed me for getting away earlier and now I’m going to make these last days of your life a fucking hell!"

And with that Niyu heard the last of the clothing she had being ripped from her body.

Just then there was a blood-curdling scream that rang through out the whole palace of Egypt.
