The Labyrinth
Chapter one-
Enter The Labyrinth
A chocolate hair girl dashed across the stony bridge, her eyes were shadow with uncertainness. A long ivory dress swirled around her feet as she came to a stop. With a sharp turn she left the bridge, a light wind blew through the open forest.
“Give me the Child that you have stolen...” Her words held hidden power; she came to a stop staring at her arch enemy. A piercing sound crashed through the sky above,
“Through dangers untold and hard ships unnumbered”
“I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City, to take back the child that you have stolen.”
“For my kingdom is as strong as yours.... and my will as great...”
Anzu stood there glaring at the man, who she knew as the Goblin King. Her blue eyes could pierce any heart; she moved her mouth to say the final words... She muttered the last line, as if forgetting just for a moment...
As an inspiring actor and also dancer the girl cursed her self, “Damn it! That line gets me every time!” She sighed softly and pulled out a book with a red leather casing. Gold letters spelled the word, ‘Labyrinth’ on the cover. Anzu eyes became soft at the small book and stroked the cover once.
Another soft sigh escaped her ruby red lips, unknown to Anzu the sky was grew dark. With slender fingers, the girl flipped to the end of the book...
You have no Power over me....
Anzu whispered those very words to herself, she smiled gently. Suddenly a barking caught her attention; she smiled fondly and looked over at the golden dog, “Jounochi!” Another sound of thunder came from the sky, and the loud chimes of the great clock in the center of the city followed after.
Anzu’s head whipped around to the face of the large clock, her eyes widen in shock. “Damn it!” She waved a hand at Jounochi then bundled the bottom part of her dress in her arms. Light blue jeans lay under the ivory white dress, and as she began to dart the rain came crashed down from the heavens.
“We are so late!” She yelled back to her dog as they darted across empty lots and forgotten parts of the park. “It’s not fair! Why is it raining NOW?!” She sighed as her blue jeans clung to her legs,
She came to a slow stop when she finally reached her pouch. There waiting was her stepmother, “...Oh come on.” Her stepmother hissed gently.
Anzu could feel herself pull back her head hanged slightly, “I am on Jou..” Anzu began to make her climb when a finger pointed to the garage. “No way that dog is going into the Garage, oh on you mutt into the garage!”
”But its Pouring!” Anzu tried to fight back, however she found it unless as her step mother repeated it again. “...Jounochi go into the garage.” The dog lifted his head up slowly and looked at his master, then did as he was told.
Anzu blue eyes glared up at her step mother as she rushed into side. “Anzu!” She didn’t stop, she just wanted to change and go into her room. Her Safe room. “Anzu! Your over two hours late!” Owner of the chocolate hair stopped and spun around,
“I said I was sorry!” She could feel her voice rise.
“Anzu!” The elder of the two women snapped, “I only ask you to baby sit if it doesn’t interfere with your plans! If you had a date, good you should have dates at your age! Its not healthy how you are obsessed about your fairy tale stories!” The middle age women sighed and looked at Anzu.
Anzu’s face turned red with anger as her father’s voice came to her ears, but she didn’t bother to listen. “I can’t do anything right CAN I!” Anzu could feel her legs charge up the stairs, her hand fling open the door then slam it shut.
Anzu could feel hot tears boiling at the corner of her eyes, she screamed into her pillow. After she heard the voice of her father, then the sound of the car that left the house, she stood and removed the wet articles of clothing.
She wore only a lace bar, and her underwear as she padded across her room to the dresser. She could feel her goose bumps multiply as she shifts through her clothes. When she found an outfit to her taste she slipped it on, it was a simple blue short sleeve shirt, then a pair of dark blue jeans. She smiled satisfied with her out fit and sat down in her chair. Pictures of her mother graced the corners of her vanity mirror, Anzu sighed wistfully at the pictures.
Truth was her mother died in a horrible car accident, and left her and her father alone for a long time. Then he met her step mother, Anzu could feel herself snarl at the thought. She could never stand that women, and now they had Mokuba.
Another soft sigh as she lifted up the lipstick, she watched herself in the mirror, “Through dangers...untold...and hard ships...unnumbered” she whispered to herself with a smile.
Her room was covered with things that deal with the mystical and magical creatures alike. Goblins, animals, knights, books, anything and everything you can imagine. Suddenly the girl cringed, across the way she could hear the thunderous crying of the child. She growled softly and stood slowly, however something caught her eye. “Kiribo!” One of her most prized stuff animal in her room was missing; she screamed to herself and dashed out the door.
With quick finger she flipped on the light within her parents room, “I hate you!” she screamed back at the harmless baby, then quickly snatched up her doll. She hugged in close and paced around the room angrily. She paused and then snapped at the infant, “what do you want? You want a story?!” Anzu smiled almost evilly, as she began to spin the story of the Goblin king.
“Oh Mokuba stop it!” she sighed and went to pick him up, slowly she rocked him in her arms, “Mokuba! Mokuba I will say the words!” she tautened the baby slightly, “No no I mustn’t say!” With in her mind she toyed with the idea, Goblins that would take her brother. “OH fine, Goblin king Goblin king where ever you may be take this child far away from me!” She hoisted the small infant into the air. Again she grumbled and laid the child down, she padded over to the door and placed her finger on the switch,
“I wish the Goblins would come and take you away, -right now-“
With the final words said, she flipped down the switch onto the screaming baby. As she left the room, it was extraordinarily quiet... “Mokuba..?” Anzu whispered to herself, slowly then again she called once more. When the crying did not start again, she re-entered the room, fearful fingers flipped the switch up and down and up and down again. When the lights refused to come on, her blue eyes grew fearful. “Mokuba why aren’t you crying? Mokuba?!” She could feel eyes upon her, and soft snickers as she approached the crib. “Mokuba?” softer this time....a fearful hand went to reach for the still blanket.
“Mokuba?” She quickly drew back the blanket to find nothing, gone...empty.... Her brother was stolen. Suddenly she could hear but did not see the figures that dashed a crossed the parent room. She gasps fearfully, she turned every which way to see or catch one of this horrid snickering creatures.
Then came the tapping and scratching of claws onto the window, she turned with wide eyes as the white owl tried fanatically to enter. Abruptly the glass doors threw itself open, azure eyes grew big and covered her face.
Once it grew quiet, carefully she looked up. There a figure in black stood before her, Long white hair, and gold chocolate eyes peered down at her. Anzu could feel her mouth drop to the floor, he was...so handsome... She felt paralyzed by the sight of this man of magic.
“You’re Him aren’t you.....” She whispered, unsure almost.... Blue crashed with cold mocking brown eyes, “You’re the Goblin king....”
Sorta slow it will change more in story once I get it into the labyrinth you can’t really changed the start of the movie.
