Darkness.
It was all he could see.
Pain.
It was all he could feel.
Silence.
It was all he could hear.
Blood.
He could taste it in his mouth.
Otogi Ryouji's body was a heap of limps chained to the wall and slumped on the ground. At every move he tred to make his body screaming in searing pain for him to stop. He let his head hang down, covering his face with his raven hair that was tousled and free form it's usual headband. If anyone had come in they may not have regognized the usually confident, suave businessman that was now reduced to groaning absentmindly rougrough his pain.
'How long have I been here?' Minutes, hours days?
'How did I get here?' Carried, driven, flown?
'Why am I here?' Torchure, death, ra-
'No, that's not a possiblitiy!'
"It's not," he choked out, barely audiable even to himself. Maybe the sound never even escaped his lips. He didn't know.
The cold stone floor offered no comfort to his beaten, leather-clad legs as they curled under him in an attempt to reduce some of the sting from she shackles holding his arms above his throbbing head.
Suddenly a faint sound crept into his mind, echoing oddly in his head. What was it?
Footsteps?
The started out very faint, then procceeded to get loud as...whatever or whoever it was... got closer. The sounds stopped echoing through his ears as a faint light shone through the crack under the door to his cell. With the way the soft glow dimmed and brightened, it must have been a candle.
The door swung open with a loud crash at it hit against the stone wall behind it. A person, clad in a dark purple robe, made it's quiet decent upon the prisonor's body. Though the eyes could not be seen they seemed to burn holes in Otogi's prone form, taking in the look of pain, anguish and despair on his face. Yes...Malik Ishtar would have fun with this toy.
