It was cold

It was cold outside. Wet, cold, and dark. It was one of those nights where the rain continued to fall no matter how hard you wished it to stop. It was just simply ugly outside and all Ryou could do was sit and watch the rain fall onto the ground. The rain was falling so hard that you could barely see four feet in front of you. But that didn’t stop him from leaving earlier. It didn’t keep him inside out of the cold. It was almost as if the darkness and the cold had driven him from the warmth. Like it had seduced him with the promise of something that he desired the most that you would only be able to find in the rain-covered darkness. But then Bakura liked the dark. He enjoyed its secrets and how it conceals what you don’t want seen. He thrives in the darkness, the shadows. It keeps his secrets from others and protects that which he does not want to be revealed.

Ryou continued to watch the rain as it hit the window and waited. He didn’t know how long it had been since Bakura left but he was beginning to worry about him. He knew he shouldn’t really worry but he couldn’t help it. He knew that he cared about his other half more then he should but it was just the way he was. He would care about Bakura even if he didn’t care back. It just didn’t seem to be fare for Ryou, but at the moment there seemed to be nothing he could do but wait and hope. And lately it seemed that hoping wasn’t really helping. No matter what he did or tried nothing really seemed to please Bakura. But he would try. No matter what it might take he would do his best to make things better for the five thousand years old thief. Even if he didn’t ne ore or appreciate it. The rain continued to fall without any sign of letting up. It continued to hit against the glass of the window creating a soothing effect on Ryou as he sat and waited. It didn’t take long for the rain to lull him to sleep. Taking him into a world of troubled dreams full of concern and love for one lost spirit.
