See Téa Lose
by Deathwish

This is for everybody who hates Téa. This fanfic is NOT for children. It contains violence (outside of the normal holographic duels), strong language, descriptions of partial nudity, etc.

Mai roamed the grounds of Battle City, searching for opponents. She could take her pick because she was always underestimated. As she was about to choose her next opponent, she caught sight of Téa holding a Duel Disk sytem. She scowled. She'd let the little skank win their last duel so Yugi would get her extra star chips. As far as Mai knew, the only other person Téa had ever beat in a duel was Joey, and that was before the Duelist Kingdom tournament, where he'd grown from a dueling monkey into a serious duelist.

Looks like this competition needs some weeding. she thought. "Hey, there, Téa." she said aloud. "Thinking of joining the competition?"

"Why not?" Téa asked.

"Instead of just telling you, why don't I show you?" Mai responded. "You DO know how to work that thing, right?"

"Yep." Téa said, activating her Duel Disk system.

"Fine." Mai said, activating her own system. "I start with Harpie's Brother, in Attack mode!"

"Yikes!" Téa chirped as Mai's 1800-attack monster appeared on the field. She recovered her courage, or stubbornness, after a moment, however. "Just so you know, I have a monster inhandhand that could take yours down like nobody's business if this were Duelist Kingdom."

"Excuses, excuses, Téa." Mai responded. "Just play."

"Fine." Téa said. "I lay one card face-down, and play the magic card Dark Hole."

"What?!?!" Mai exclaimed. "A goodie-goodie like you plays Dark Hole?!?!" Mai exclaimed as her monster was sucked into the magical vortex.

"Now I play Petit Angel in Attack Mode, and go right at your lifepoints!" Téa finished. Petit Angel appeared on the field, dashed forward, and slapped Mai across the face. Her Lifepoint count went down due to the direct damage.

"Well, Téa, looks like you're not pulling any punches this time around." Mai said. "Well neither am I!" She slapped two cards on the reader. "I lay two cards face-down, and play..." She placed her third card on the reader, "Magical Ghost! Magical Ghost, avenge Harpy's Brother"

"Not so fast!" Téa said. "I activate the trap card Waboku!"

"Figures." Mai responded.

"Now it's my turn." Téa said. "I use the Magic Card Soul Exchange to allow me to use one of your monsters in a Tribute, and sacrifice your Magical Ghost and my Petit Angel to bring forth Wingweaver!"

"Wingweaver?" Mai exclaimed as the new monster appeared on the field, with an ATK of 2750. "Whoa!" she exclaimed.

"And that's not all! I equip Wingweaver with the Silver Bow and Arrow aiseaise its power even further!"

"Equip it until it's a million attack points strong, it won't help you." Mai said. "Activate Trap Hole!" With that, Wingweaver was destroyed.

"NO!" Téa cried. "My best card!"

"And probably the only one in your whole deck worth taking." Mai replied. "Now, it's time I got a monster on the field..." She drew a card from her deck. "Hmmm...okay, Téa, get ready for a dose of irony! I use Monster Reborn to bring back your Wingweaver under my control!"

"Oh, no!" Téa exclaimed.

"And I'm still allowed a Normal Summon during this turn, so I'll bring out Guardian of the Throne Room in Attack Mode!" With that, the missile-toting Machine monster, Guardian of the Throne Room, appeared on the field, boasting an attack strength of 1650. "Your lifepoints are completely undefended, Téa! You lose! Wingweaver, attack Téa's lifepoints!" At Mai's command, Wingweaver flew forth, knocking Téa down. "Now, Guardian of the Throne Room, finish off the last of her lifepoints!" Again, Téa's lifepoints were assaulted, this time by a missile barrage from Guardian of the Throne Room. "You're beaten, Téa." Mai said, stalking forward and picking up Wingweaver from Téa's spilled deck, as well as her Locator card. "These are mine, now, Téa. I'm sorry it had to end this way." She was walking away as Téa rose to her feet.

"There's something else I owe you too." Téa said. Mai turned around, wondering what it could be, when Téa slapped her across the face. She didn't have time to recover, as Téa pounced, shrieking at the top of her lungs. "YOU DON'T EVEN CARE! YOU DON'T EVEN CARE!" Mai levered Téa off of her. The girl rolled a few times, then struggled to her feet. "YOU DON'T EVEN CARE WHY I SIGNED UP FOR THIS!! YOU DON'T EVEN CARE WHO I WAS DUELING FOR! YOU'VE NEVER CARED!!"

"Do you think you can help ANYBODY with your pathetic dueling skills?" Mai asked. "Seriously, Téa, you need..."

"SHUT UP!!" Téa screeched, ripping the front of Mai's blouse off, much to the delight of the male onlookers. Her exposed nipples stiffened in the brisk morning air. Téa slapped Mai again, grabbed her hair, and pulled her forward until she clanged against a lamppost. Mai shook her head painfully, then glared at Téa.

"Okay, you little bitch, no more Ms. Nice Girl!" Mai snarled, punching Téa hard in the nose. Bone bit into her knuckles before Téa flew backwards. Mai didn't stop there, however. As soon as Téa had regained her feet, Mai charged forward, hooking her elbow under Téa's chin and dragging her forward a few paces before levering her body sideways to give her some extra force, enough to throw Téa into the nearby fountain. She then leapt into the air, somersaulting twice and coming down with foot extended. Téa barely managed to roll out of the way. Mai put a hole in the faux-marble bottom of the fountain, allowing the water inside to drain away. Téa was trying to get out of the fountain. Mai freed her foot from the hole she'd made and stalked up behind her. "Here, let me help you out." she said, shoving Téa off the rim.

Téa rose to her feet and pounced again. Mai dodged easily. Téa bumped her head on one of the water-spewing dragons. She recovered quickly, a testament to the thickness of her skull, and charged Mai, snarling the whole way. Mai flipped the younger girl over her shoulder and threw her to the dirt. When Téa got up again, Mai punched her repeatedly in the face. Blood and teeth flew everywhere. Téa fell.

Mai walked toward the storefront where she had hit the post, and was about to reclaim her cards when she heard Téa charging from behind. She turned, grabbed Téa's hand, flipped her over her shoulder and through the plate glass window. Téa lay sprawled on the floor within, groaning, bleeding badly. Mai hawked up a large wad of phlegm and spat it on Téa's pain-contorted face. "You fight like a girl." she said before reaching into her pocket for a bag of cookies she'd purchased earlier. She ate the cookies, turned the bag inside-out, and slipped her cards inside so they wouldn't get wet.

"Mai, you didn't..." Yugi began, appearing out of nowhere.

"Save your sermon, Reverend Moto." Mai interrupted. "Unless you want Téa to bleed to death, I'd suggest getting her to a hospital." She noticed Mokuba Kaiba off to the side. He grabbed his whistle and was preparing to blow it. He never saw the knife coming. It pinned his sleeve to the building behind him. She relieved the boy of his whistle. "Don't even think about it." she said, drawing a second knife from a hidden place on her person, wrapping the whistle's string around the blade, and tossing the knife so it embedded between the second and third stories of another nearby building. "This never happened, capice?"

"When my brother hears about this..." Mokuba began. Mai produced another knife.

"I don't like hurting kids, but I will if you cross me." she said dangerously. "All you have to do to keep this knife from derailing your train of thought is to keep your fool mouth shut. Téa attacked me first. This whole thing has been self-defense. Got it? Now, I'm going to get me another shirt, and you're going to forget you were even here. Got it?" The blade came dangerously close to Mokuba's nose.

"Uh, got it."

"Smart boy." Mai responded. "And I promise this won't happen again."

"Uh, what won't happen again?" Mokuba asked, not exactly sure which infraction she meant.

"Good boy." Mai responded, making the knife disappear with a little sleight-of-hand. Her unfettered breasts bobbed slightly as she walked, but no one dared make any catcalls, lest they be placed on the receiving end of Mai Valentine's anger.

End.
