Daughter of Bast

I didn’t get into the whole ancient Egypt thing so some things might seem strange. It is however my world and I can do whatever I want in it, muhahaha.
Ahem, anyway I don’t own yu-gi-oh or any of the characters. I wish I did :D


Daughter of Bast


Ancient Egypt

The pharaoh was standing on hisconycony and looked over his garden. Everything was so peaceful and still. The sun was already going under. He loved it here but yet something was missing.
“I see you still like to watch the sunset.” A gentle voice from behind him said.
For a moment the pharaoh was startled, he turned around but could only see a dark figure. “Who are you? Show your self” he commanded.
The figure walked out of the shadow. It was a young woman with a light brown skin, she had long black hair and green eyes. She was wearing a blue dress. The ones the priests of Bast wore. Yami’s face cleared up, “Shenala? Is that you? You’ve grown so much.” Yami hugged his friend. “I could say the same of you.” Shenala replied.
Shenala wasn’t only one of the priests of Bast, she was also said to be the goddess’ daughter. All kind of cats were drawn to her, even the lions were tame when she was around. As children, she and Yami were often found in each others company, they were both links to the Gods. But Shenala had to go away to fulfill her study at Memphis. She was gone for 10 years. And now she was back.
They talked all night and then the conversation changed to one of Yami’s priests; Set. “So you mean to say he’s still just as serious as 10 years ago?” Shenala asked in disbelieve. Yami nodded. Shenala had played a lot of pranks on Set when she was younger, but he never gave in, never smiled. Later one she had felt sorry for him and wondered what made him the way he was. “By now he most know you’re here. Maybe he already fled for you.” Yami said with a big grin. “Hey, I couldn’t help I was kind of a brat back then. Nobody dared to put me in place. But I think I owe him an apology.” Yami raised his eyebrow, Shenala sighed; “Ok a lot of apologies.” She walked away from Yami, “don’t forget that there is a festival tomorrow, you have to be there now that you’re here.”
“I will be there, don’t worry. Good night, my dear friend.”
“Good night, Shenala. Don’t get in any trouble.”

Shenala walked the corridors. She knew where his room was but the closer she was getting the more nervous she became. She saw two guards standing in front of his room. Both of them bowed before her. “Please go and leave us.” The guards hurried of.

She stepped into the room. She didn’t see him so she stepped into the room when all of a sudden she heard a dark voice behind her. “Well look what the cat dragged in.” Set had been standing next to the entrance, that’s why she couldn’t have seen him. He was a lot taller and his cold blue eyes looked down at her. “What are you doing her, Priestess?” he asked coldly. Shenala began to stutter, “I wanted to uh… well…make my apologies…for what I did…in the past...”
“And why would I accept them? I right, you’re the daughter of Bast so everyone just have to do as you want and have to react the way you want them to, isn’t it.”
Shenala became angry when she heard him say that. “Listen Set, I truly am sorry for what I did to you. I know I was a brat and I shouldn’t have done all those things. I can’t erase the past but I can make it up to you to show you how sorry I truly am.” Her voice had sounded angry and Set was impressed. He didn’t show it however, he wanted to make her pay for, make her feel the same way she made him feel all those years ago.

Yaaaaj finished the first chapter. In upcoming chapters there will be a lot of citrusfruit I promis. Just thinking about things Set could make Shenala do. And more about the Pharaoh and his maleservant *nudge nudge*
