Morning is Here
Chapter One: Morning is here
Haruka woke up to brilliant sunrays flooding her room, casting shadows on everything. Her dresser, her lamp, her adjar closet door. The sunlight even gave her pink walls an orange glow. She didn't want to leave the ort ort of her bed; it was just right, not too hot or cold considering the early day's mildness. She then decided to climb out of the soft sheets and sit on the edge of the bed and stretch. She was glad that there was no school that day, so she thought about what she was going to do; go for a walk, see friends, or maybe, just maybe run into Seto Kaiba, the tall, brown-haired, blue-eyed boy from class she had a crush on. Oh how she admired him. His attitude wasn't great, but what he lacked in politeness, he made up for in intelligence and looks. She couldn't stop thinking about him.
' Sure he isn't friendly or into dating (it seems) but I... feel a strong connection to him.'
She smiled and blushed. She had known him before he hit puberty and was sure that he was a good guy.
' Now.... now I'm ready to talk to him again, get on his good side if he has one--wait I can't think that! I know he is good, I see how he is with his brother.'
She shook her head. That seemed so far out of reach.
'Why try...oh yes I will try, I'll get to know him better, I promise myself.'
She clenched her fists and decided to get up and walk over to her window. She slid it open, letting in the clean, summer morning breeze. She stared out at the yard, the trees, and then at the not too distant city. Her long hair moved in the breeze.
' I will get him, no matter what.'
She closed her eyes momentarily and walked over to her clothes, changed out of her pajamas, and walked out, sighed, then closed the door behind her.
